I add rice crisps to mine, I don’t add the golden syrup. For the topping I Melt both white and milk chocolate buttons and swirl them over the slice. You don’t really need the food processor as you can crumble the weet bix in your hands

I remember these from my childhood, a school, lunchbox treat! In Australia it’s WEETBIX, in Britain it’s Weetabix, Inthink it might be slightly different, but not sure.

These look great. Just one question though. The pan is round and the end result is small squares. Is there loads of waste or did you make a second batch for the camera in a square pan. If this is the case, what size square pan? Tks.

I used drinking chocolate in my slice
And vanilla extract in the melted butter or margerine
    * Not the way you do it, I do it different.
I add the sugar in with the weetbix and the flour
I use melted Cadbury chocolate mixed with a tablespoon milk and melt on double boiler and I put slice lines in it before I bake mine at 180*c for 10mins and place a choc button in each square and once cooked I add the melted chocolate over it n place in the fridge to set.
Once set you can slice along the lines already made you will find a gooey chocolate centre....mmmm yummo
There's a rule at our kids schools here in Australia that they aren't allowed Chocolate or peanut butter due to others that are allergic and yet they let kids bring mangos n my son is allergic but I let my boys take a piece or two for a snack at school... besides those allergic don't have to eat it.
Plus I make my own golden syrup and have done for years - but I don't use it in this
