  • For just $3.63 and only 4 ingredients you can make a plateful of these and be a hero at the next morning tea gathering or keep them for a great school lunchbox snack! Refer to the Weetbix Balls recipe below.
    Also refer to my chocolate Weetbix Slice Recipe here - • Chocolate Weetbix Slic...

    You will need:
    8-9 Weetbix, crushed
    3 Tablespoons of cocoa powder
    1/2 cup of dessicated coconut (plus extra for rolling)
    1 x 395g tin of sweetened condensed milk
    Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly with a spoon.
    Put it in the fridge for approx 30 minutes to set slightly.
    Sprinkle some coconut (or whatever you're covering them in) into a bowl and scoop balls of the mixture out with a spoon, roll it and set out on a plate.
    Store in the fridge, or if they're going into lunchboxes I'd recommend storing them in the freezer to firm them up a bit more!

    I've used vanilla ice-cream in my cereal instead of milk, I'd use it here in this recipe instead of condensed milk, cover the balls in melted chocolate and freeze them in a tray.😋🤗

    What could I use instead of coconut

    • @CheaperWaysNZ
      @CheaperWaysNZ  4 роки тому +3

      You could roll them in cocoa powder, sprinkles, chocolate flakes or maybe even crushed up cornflakes ... anything that'd stick really 😀

    @Cheaper Ways NZ is there any healthy substitute for condensed milk. TIA

    • @CheaperWaysNZ
      @CheaperWaysNZ  3 роки тому +4

      I haven't tried any of these, but I've heard of something called "cream of coconut" that can be used, or reducing down almond milk (simmering it until it's about halved in volume) can apparently be substituted too ... I'd be interested to hear if you give either of these a go!
