But if the gate is for cars,(vehicles only),and not for pedestrians,then if it's accessable,then according to AB, it's public? From an Americans' point of view,if I were to access it on foot,and had a bike,I could simply go on through. If I had a vehicle, however,then,yes,I have to stop by the gate,oress some button,and ask for access? Even though there were people going to and forth - on foot - all the time. That's the only part that's ridiculous. Probably a grey area. Like being inside a retail store,a McDonald's,a fish and chips place,and/or inside a restaurant. Way to go AB! The Police Sargent was excellent, and Very decent to give you a lift and not fish for more details as he drove. Other forces should use this guy to train officers in how to interact with the public.

In Australia not showing you security ID is a big no no, you lose it if you don't show it. The purpose of an ID is to hold you accountable. It doesn't have personal information but it does have a number which comes back to you. You're accountable for your actions.
That's how it's _supposed_ to work in the UK too, but it's completely unenforced. The SIA, who are responsible for running the accreditation scheme, have performed no (zero, none) prosections, ever.
I will hazard a guess that just like here nothing is done about it in Australia. In fact I think I’ve seen videos with Avi Yemeni and the like where badges are obscured.

I remember back in the day when they began using the new style/stiff handcuffs. When i complained that i wanted them off as they hurt, a policewoman said "they're meant to". Nice. That must have been 25yr ago now. That was when the police became harder towards the public imo, after 9/11, 7/7. Back in the day police still had somewhat of a good relationship with the people they knew/had dealings with. It was weird when cops i knew and could talk to, overnight became like drugged/brainwashed is the only way i can describe it. Seemingly liking/having some respect for you one day, to just suddenly not talking to you, acting like you're a complete stranger. Like overnight i had just become scum not worth even looking at or looking straight through you. One bloke i specifically remember, just had a look in his eye's like there was nothing there. The copper should never have come out for a civil matter, however he was perfectly reasonable and understood the situation and left relatively quickly.
Civil matters quickly turn to criminal matters and they only have limited information to go on. If something serious happened and they didn't turn up because "oh we thought it was a civil matter" - how would you respond then.

Security and Police did their jobs perfectly while cameraman was being a douche trying to catch the security guard out by going in circles, and finding his own "loopholes."
He also accuses the guy of telling his colleague to hide his badge when it was clearly tucked away long before they came into contact, he just lies and accuses them of committing an offence when they haven't.
