The DWP officially allows recording from public areas and photography is allowed from anywhere with public access. There is no expectation of privacy in a public place or from a place with public access. The power ranger was a joke. He did his best to intimidate and assert his 'authority' but failed miserably. The 'big brother' speaker was disgraceful. Discriminating and singling out anyone without reasonable evidence is surely against the law. This needs to be highlighted with your MP. Acting suspiciously or dressing differently or using a camera in public is not against the law.

A camera does not control how people behave only highlights real life and behaviour of others. We all have a bad day and sometimes don't behave how we normally do or how we should. But when in your official capacity specially when paid by the public should at the very least be respectful and not rude. The manager only wanted to push her own agenda and would have loved to see someone put in cuffs because she maybe narcissistic when not getting her own way. This is why it's called auditing not financially granted but how the public employees are behaving and servicing. The rangers recorded AB's data on CCTV, then shared his publicly identifiable information openly in a public space using a microphone. Surely this is against UK-GDPR.
The law has massive cut outs for 'legal reasons'. I'm sure there is a security argument for keeping security footage. Especially if it appears live and is not viewed again unless required and deleted after 6 months.

Take a complaint out that you felt alarmed and distressed and felt you could be harmed by members of the public due to their actions, the operator behaved in an antisocial way, you broke no laws so they shouldn't have done that, but suppose there is no point as government are unaccountable if you complaine end up chasing your tale for years and severely out of pocket, you could say they put you in danger
