Y'all should thank Matt's off road recovery, he give your tire a lot of good advertisement. The main reason i'm buying your tires for my Jeep.
I've run Cooper stt Pros for year but after seeing what Matt was using and how well they are working for him I'm giving your tire's a shot.

I just bought two sets of the original MT. So far I love them, and they were far cheaper than other competitors. If they keep this level of quality price..... I'll be a customer for life.✋👍

    Getting second set tomorrow!
No issues, an all around great tire.
Ran it all winter here in Anchorage, Alaska also put tons of highway miles winter and summer superb value and performance.
I’d replace my 36” super swamper Iroks if you can get them sold everywhere. I only found one shop here.
Better yet sponsor me and I’ll become a dealer!

Patty owner here (37x12.5 R17) for 3 years now. Been wheeling them on my 2016 JKUR in Wa the whole time. I also daily my rig. At first I loved them. But since last winter I have had to sipe the center lugs my self as the original sipes are much much less than when I first got the tires. Two wishes. (1) the sipes should be the zig zag type. With , limited real-estate on the center lugs the zig zag sipes give you something near 30% more liner sipe. (2) full tread depth sipes on the center lugs. I cant stress this enough. I live in WA,and it rains. I suffered through about 3 weeks of fall/winter before I said fuck it,and got my self a hot knife so I could sipe the center lugs. With the new improvements if you added my suggestions you would have a winning combo.

I have over 33,000 on my 35x12.50r20 MT's on my 13 F150 FX4 with 6in lift fox suspension, Icon billet uppers and so on. At 30,000 tread depth was still 11,10,9 and 9. I rotate every 3000 give or take a few, 38-42psi for the road. I'm on and off road from Denver to Dallas and up to South Dakota July 2022 will be 2 years on them couldn't be happier. The only issue I've had, a bolt in a tire from a jobsite. Can't wait till it's time for new shoes it'll be MT-02's.

I’ve run the 3813 5017 on my jeep JL and I’ve had no issues, I recommend this tire I think it’s a great tire I think Patagonia did a incredible job, I just ordered a 392 jeep and when that comes in I will be putting these tires on it and putting them to the test But I’ve had no complaints these have been wonderful tires they are lightweight which reduces rotating mass traction is excellent, I’ve run them in snow and have had no issues they’re fairly quiet on the street and they’ve kept the price affordable for the average person in my opinion there’s no reason not to use these tires they work great, you may have to be a little more cautious with the sidewalls and I rub my sidewalls plenty of times and have had no issues

Was there any weight reduction with the M/T 02?
We run the M/Ts on both of our Jeeps (32s on my wife's and 35s on mine). Aside from some cupping that was resolved with more frequent rotations, I have been extremely happy with how they perform in all environments. Our Jeeps are our daily drivers and it is great to have a tire we can trust on the road and that truly shines offroad!

My Patagonia M/Ts have performed expectedly well off-road and shockingly well in snow. They are "floaty" on the road, which is somewhat tolerable, and they're quiet. The problem with them is that they wear unevenly, and that's likely to do with the crown design. At 12k, after my 3rd rotation, I've got vibration, notable cupping, and more pronounced bounciness on the highway. My hope is that the M/T-2.0 or perhaps the XT (which is apparently now available in a much wider range of sizes) would be designed to wear more consistently and eliminate these issues. Dealers don't have a clue and Milestar is impossible to reach (try their contact form- it doesn't work).

    The ultimate question… when will the MT-02’s be available? I need 10 (42x14.5R20) MT-02’s.

At first my pats were great and quite. After about 17 months it feels like im running on tractor tires at slow speeds (exteme vibration from the outer lugs) Hopefully the new compound and design will fix this.

Totally left out how the original m/ts had horrible side walls. I had 2- 38s and a 37 have sidewall failure from rim to tread. I'm interested in exactly how the 02s are better in this area.

I heard several stories of the same exact issue... and with the 'black' trim/model as well. On the website, it says both the OG Patagonia and M/T-2 have 3-ply... It doesn't say anything else about it

Looking everywhere for the 38x13.50r17 mt02 but nobody has them. I need to replace my first gen 38x13.50r17s on my jkur, after 2 5 years daily driven on and off road.
Only complaint I have is they became a bit slippery on wet roads after the first year.

What is the weight of the 37 on 17?

Andrew, I want to address several issues. First, stop calling this tire a MT. It is not a true MT. It is an extremely good hybrid tire (for about 5000 miles) and excellent on the rocks in areas like Moab, but it absolutely sucks in the mud. The tread blocks on the tire’s edges are not spaced widely enough to clear mud. I noticed in this video there is zero footage of the tire being used in the mud. Next, the center tread is great at delivering a quiet ride, but let’s be clear; folks looking for a true MT don’t care about road noise. Lastly, not everyone runs 37”, 38” or 40” tires. While I realize that these are now common sizes in a 17” wheel option, there are still plenty of folks out here running tires on 15” or 16” wheels. This produces a much softer ride. Also, the Patagonia MTs (two sets) that I have owned did not measure out to the height that was advertised. So, there is that too. I have owned Patagonia MTs since 2018 and they just don’t last. Cupping is a real issue. Chunking is an issue. Longevity shouldn’t be used in the same sentence as Milestar. And, you don’t listen to your customers. I have given much feedback while the MT 02 has been under development. I realize you don’t know me or my credentials, but I have been off-roading for 35+ years and have run nearly every brand of tire out there on a multitude of different off-road vehicles. I gave Milestar a shot, and was even excited about them in the beginning, but no more. I cannot recommend Milestar Patagonia MTs to anyone who drives off-road in the Eastern USA. They are adequate for a strictly off-road vehicle if you live in AZ, UT, CA or other dry, rocky desert-like terrain, but completely useless in areas like KY, TN, NC, PA, etc. I suggest changing the name of the tire to RT (rocky terrain) and focus your marketing efforts to people in the western USA. Good luck. If you ever develop a true MT, I may give them a try.

All you just said is exactly what i thought of this tire , you forgot the fact that they seem to be put together in segments too , something like quarters of rubbers joint into a one whole piss and I thought oh shit
Besides, i only drove 8000 miles and off road 4 times on the deserts of California i can said this tires are ok off-roading only not for highway expectancy
They out of my rig and for sale after the freak show they performed for me and got now some ko2 which are enough for what i do here

You should focus on making the original milestar MT better or just flat out replace the the MT with the MT02. You need to get better tread wear out of these tires. They aren’t going to be popular as the general consensus is that the original MTs are a low quality tire

    • @EdBlack-
      @EdBlack- Рік тому

Pretty sure that’s what the MT02 is
