- Last week Mike and I filmed a video for the DriveTribe UA-cam channel. As it only took a few hours to shoot, we thought we'd use the rest of the day to film the new DriveTribe camera car.
If you'd like to hear about the car in a bit more detail, check out Mike's vlog: • My new daily driver wh...

You, Mike, and Rachel should do a special with Jeremy, James, and Richard
Constant disagreements i can see that happening now!
That would be so cool
I don't think I've ever heard anything more british than a complaint about the weather being too sunny
Bwahahaha... GOLD! The Brits are obsessed with mentioning weather, to an outsider it is pretty weird.
@@CathodeRayNipplez haha, true, Belgian do it too. It’s like Americans ask anybody where they are from. Americans seem to have this thing for locations. Except for Texans, all the Texans I’ve met tell you their entire life story within 2min of meeting them 😂
@@CathodeRayNipplez you should listen to a british teenager or younger women always complaining about it and it can get annoying I dont really feel the cold trying to go somewhere you have to think if it's going to be warm enough sometimes or too hot for some things if you want to go with someone or if it's cold they'll only stay outside for a couple of minutes then go home well a girl I know did the last bit anyway only wanted to give my freind a Christmas present had to beg her to let me give it to her and meet up
I'd like to see more of the cat, please. lol And I like Mike's Mordor hoodie.
So proud of you Lucy, you have really blossomed over these past few months and you are glowing girl! You are so much more relaxed on cam and it's been really cool to see your journey so far, can't wait to see more content!!
Cannot agree with this enough, Lucy is doing brilliantly. 😊
Thank you so much!!
Respect! Big Up Lucy! Drive Tribe Forward!
Thank you for the shots of the cat at the beginning
He's constantly trying to make cameos
Love the friendship you have with Mike!
You make it seem so easy and casual. Bravo Lucy! 👏🏻
Thank you 🙏
"The folly road" is a cracking road as it goes up all the way to petersfield. Sad I moved away from Havant because it's a great road
My favorite part of the video starts at 5:33. I'm guessing it was near dusk, and you captured the low light really nicely. The driving shots were great.
Thank you very much!
Enjoyed the tour of that part of the coast. And your filming techniques. Especially B Rolls.
Glad you enjoyed it!
As ever, its great seeing behind the scenes. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching it :)
Will get you insured so you can take it for a rip 👌
That sounds so nice. Great video Lucy
Thank you 😋
These are wonderful videos to watch, interesting, calming, introduce us to your country’s scenery and just the right amount of funny bits here and there
Lucy should join the boys on the next Grand Tour........
I like her channel, but chemistry between these three is enormous. 3xNO
That (maybe coincidental) dolly zoom shot of Mike was really cool! Great video!
I love the way you do dolly zoom on Mike at 8:33
exactly. it's now a standard shot, but was so effective first time i saw it in Goodfellas, (near the end of the gang-action)
I'm mostly here for the King Canute content
Shame that Mike doesn't get the point of Canute trying to stop the waves... it was a stunt to show that even a king cannot stop nature (divine nature at that)... he wasn't trying to prove himself divine but prove only 'God' could stop the waves... pure stunt
Nice tour of some pleasant locations balanced well with the behind the scenes pieces.
Thanks 🙏
What a revelation you have been Lucy. I have only recently discovered your show through FOODTRIBE. Love how you effortlessly put May in his place :)
Recommend B Roll the break lights and hazards when pulling away. Great Vids all around. 👍
Thank you 🙏
Cool video Lucy. I enjoy watching your behind the scenes content
Thanks so much! 😊
You guys and James, Jeremy & Richard need to work together, even a FoodTribe segment. You're a natural too, love watching these and behind the scenes footage. Thanks for posting these!
That would be cool!
Nice work Lucy.
Thanks! 😊
Nice one Lucy, keep up the great work.
Thank you! 😀
👍👍👍
Well, the Focus (or any Car) is not longer available in North America.
But I want the old style grill back. Much more aggressive.
The rear looks like a nice redesign.
Another greet video!
Thanks again!
Well done Lucy! 👍
Cheers
Really enjoying seeing all your work and you keep going to all my favourite place around Chichester..... I have been to all the places in this video in the past few weeks! 😁
If I ever see you out and about, I will have to stop - I apologise now!
Awesome, let me know if there are cool locations nearby that I've missed
Thank you Lucy
I think it is now generally accepted that Canute was trying to prove to his more ardent followers that he could NOT stop the tide.
Knud not canute
@@Tomek1001 The generally accepted spelling seems to be Cnut, though you have to be a bit careful typing it.
Canute seemed like a bit of a cnuklehead.
Lucy, you have such a lovely smile!!!
You should DEFINITELY use it more :-)
Really enjoying your behind the scenes videos, thank you!!!
Thanks Brian!
Lucy, your videos are awesome. Just subscribed!
Thanks for subbing!
this is my Fav location with the drone
I really like the ST. Style wise I find the focus has improved massively over the previous models
There you go then !!! A lesson what a millenniums taste in style is then ...... for the millenniums out there, let's be clear ...... I am being sarcastic ....as you will not obviously see that ....
A great Car for a great team of People ❤
Thanks Aaron!
@@LucyBrownVids Aww you're very welcome, thank you so much for replying! You're a big inspiration to me and James May is my Idol. I think he'd be glad to hear i do agree with much of his points on Top Gear/ The Grand Tour. I'm 19 but you guys are fab
Cool numberplate :D I like the LTU ending, coz Im from Lithuania :)
I love the vids! Nice work Lucy
Thank you! 😁
Cool
What a beautiful thing she is... The car is also nice...
Get one of those microfiber gloves and if you do detail shots like in 4:30, wipe the area off before :)
Actually that is not the accurate story of Cnut the Great. There were a large number of sycophants all vying for favour. By the time one suggested he could change the tide he was more than a little peaved with the whole situation. As a result he insisted everyone go to the beach (he was carried in a chair by said sycophants) and sat in the sea ordering the waves to go back. All those who said he could do it were banished from his sight and those who said it was not possible were invited to feast. The top table apparently even had 4 of his bodyguards on it. I'm not sure if those four were retired and given farms as that is only in one text.
King Cnut, please
Can't beat a drive round Bosham quay on a sunny day, a standard sunny day roof down drive for me! Other random fact for you, the Bosham Church is so old it is mentioned in the doomsday book!
That ford looks looks cool.
Tell Mike to let you drive!
Sorry Mike but you got it wrong, Canute was aware of his limitations and was making a point to his followers that he wasn’t able to turn the tide.
im warming to Mike's take on the story, tho'
29k subs ...awesome Lucy ....
🎉
cat!!
Good un rehearsed videos. BUT Music and recordings don't match in terms of decibels. I suggest pre running it with a simple app to measure noise. It will show you where it is not even.
Thanks, I'll admit most of the audio on this was pretty bad.
I agree with other commenters, we need to see Lucy on the Grand Tour!
Haha I wish
I enjoyed my old Focus ST3. Not really sold on the new one though if I'm honest.
Socks!
😂 Lucy...lives so close to Bosham, is bored of Bosham! Take the ST on the Witterings loop at night, mini Le Man lap 🤔
Ooohh might try that, thanks
What happened to mikes mondeo?
It's still being restored, you can see the progress over on the DriveTribe channel 🤓
2nd lol nice video 👌
You may enjoy this video by Van Neistat (brother of Casey Neistat; king of vloggers). In this video Van Neistat explains his love for a certain car. The video is very entertaining, not only because of the story line, but maybe also by the way the images support the storyline and the way the edditing is done. ua-cam.com/video/DloMkje1JFY/v-deo.html
Thanks, I will check it out

:)
Mustangy or Mus-tangy?
Better behind the camera i think, we don't need to see how it's done.
Did Ford ever figure out the transmission issues with those cars?
If you're talking about the DCTs in the older models, they're not using that transmission anymore. Most of them are manual around here anyways

Should a car like a Focus ST not get filmed in "Mexico"? 😎
who gets to pay for that trip & equip. ship. ?

STORY OF CANUTE - KING CANUTE
King Canute on the Seashore
by: James Baldwin, The Book of Virtues
Long ago, England was ruled by a king named Canute. Like many leaders and men of power, Canute was surrounded by people who were always praising him. Every time he walked into a room, the flattery began.
"You are the greatest man that ever lived," one would say.
"O king, there can never be another as mighty as you," another would insist.
"Your highness, there is nothing you cannot do," someone would smile.
"Great Canute, you are the monarch of all," another would sing. "Nothing in this world dares to disobey you."
The king was a man of sense, and he grew tired of hearing such foolish speeches. One day he was walking by the seashore, and his officers and courtiers were with him, praising him as usual. Canute decided to teach them a lesson.
"So you say I am the greatest man in the world?" he asked them.
"O king," they cried, "there never has been anyone as mighty as you, and there never be anyone so great, ever again!"
"And you say all things obey me?" Canute asked.
"Absolutely!" they said. "The world bows before you, and gives you honor."
"I see," the king answered. "In that case, bring me my chair, and we will go down to the water."
"At once, your majesty!" They scrambled to carry his royal chair over the sands.
"Bring it closer to the sea," Canute called. "Put it right here, right at the water's edge." He sat down and surveyed the ocean before him. "I notice the tide is coming in. Do you think it will stop if I give the command?"
His officers were puzzled, but they did not dare say no. "Give the order, O great king, and it will obey," one of then assured him.
"Very well. Sea," cried Canute, "I command you to come no further! Waves, stop your rolling!. Surf, stop your pounding! Do not dare touch my feet!"
He waited a moment, quietly, and a tiny wave rushed up the sand and lapped at his feet.
"How dare you!" Canute shouted. "Ocean, turn back now! I have ordered you to retreat before me, and now you must obey! Go back!"
And in answer another wave swept forward and curled around the king's feet. The tide came in, just as it always did. The water rose higher and higher. It came up around the king's chair, and wet not only his feet, but also his robe. His officers stood before him, alarmed, and wondering whether he was not mad.
"Well, my friends," Canute said, "it seems I do not have quite so much power as you would have me believe. Perhaps you have learned something today. Perhaps now you will remember there is only one King who is all-powerful, and it is he who rules the sea, and holds the ocean in the hollow of his hand. I suggest you reserve your praises for him."
The royal officers and courtiers hung their heads and looked foolish. And some say Canute took off his crown soon afterward, and never wore it again.

Wrong about Canute (Knut). He was the king demonstrating to his courtiers that he did NOT have divine powers, and that he could NOT stop the tide from coming in. And I can't believe that Lucy didn't know what he'd done. What do they teach in the schools today? And presumably a posh school in Lucy's case. Dreadful indictment of the modern education system.
Sad NA noises, lovely car though
It's a turbo!
Sorry Lucy had to give a dislike because of the the two double midroll ads. The cut in mid sentence so turned a well produced video in to garbage. If your gong to put in midrolls can you atlases manually add then at a sensible point. For example you could have slipped one in as you were traveling to location two.
You get ads because you're getting it for free so you really cannot complain.
She has no control over the ad placement. I pay for UA-cam music...with that comes ad free UA-cam. 12 bucks a month is totally worth it! All the music you care to listen to and no ads on UA-cam!
