She totes does. Dunno how she’s working full time/ professionally off of a trackpad though, I think my wrist would just snap off after a couple of hours of trying to edit using a trackpad 😂
@dynamo1796 I can't understand that either, yeah the trackpad on macbooks have always been fantastic and on my new Mac it is really massive and like double size of my phone, but still. I just hate that my Bluetooth mouse won't work on my Mac (it works even on my phone) so I had to use a dongle to get USB-A ports to connect with my old USB mouse. The bigger challenge would be to play an FPS game on the the trackpad on a 2006 PC (those are tiny and you can't two finger scroll) ☺️ 😊
Great video Lucy. So awesome you paddle board too. With such a busy life you have with film making which is incredible, it’s cool to see you enjoy some you time, out in the water and paddle board.
Excellent! Pay attention to Lucy’s podcast setup, folks. It doesn’t take much to drastically improve how you appear in online meetings, video calls, etc. Record yourself to see how you look and sound to the other people on the call. Getting the camera so it’s not looking up your nose is a great start, and your friends and coworkers will thank you!
I admire and respect James very much and I believe people of good character attract others of good character; he is very, very fortunate to have you working with him. Your skill and dedication are impressive and your videos of your work are oddly mesmerizing. I enjoy taking a break to watch you at your craft. Well done, Ms. Brown.
Lucy, I'm a big fan, I feel good after watching your stuff, it's calming and soothing. I just wanted to personally thank James for all he's done, I truly loved One for the Road. Probably the most beautiful tour ever.
As a newish UA-cam creator and editor I found this absolutely fantastic and informative. I’ve been a fan of James for as long as I can remember and I’ve become a massive fan of you very quickly love your content 👍🎬🎥Hi Sox 😻loved the mini vid . Love golf let’s see some golf vids. You are so cool ( remember to tell James I said that 😄) really enjoyed seeing what you get up to in your week 👍👍👍👍👍
I've said it before but I really think you and James make a great team. I really enjoy your on film interactions. BTW, congratulations on passing 60,000 subscribers!
Thanks Lucy, loved the vlog. I also liked the idea for language learning. I been using duo lingo for Swedish. I think it's good to move towards conversational learning. Muchas gracias :)
You knowing Belén Rueda sounds amazing. 😊 While I did Spanish in high school, I did learn it better afterwards by watching her series Los Serrano (Finnish TV only uses subtitles, not dubs) and it even became my major at the university. As for English, it was funnily enough Top Gear that helped me more than any one of my teachers. 😅
As a lover of inflatable water toys, i highly reccomend a cordless air compressor. Here in the us we have the hart brand, via walmart which sell a delightful 20v system that will inflate paddle boards and such as well as car tires. Im sure halfords has something similar. Very budget friendly quality of life investment
Love the use of the reading lamp. I once worked on a shoot of customized Bugatti Veyron and amongst all the studio lights, we lit the interior by placing an iPhone on the console.
Its unlikely your paddle board has a leak, most materials are somewhat permeable and like car tyres will lose pressure over time. If it was leaking, it would have been much flatter.
James Gin my favourite , got through one and half bottles not as much as Richard Hammond drinks in a night , but can wait to buy the new branding bottle. Thanks for the video.
Lucy, it was really cool seeing you here in San Diego! You were steady busy filming all of us that came out to meet James and get some gin. Not sure if you remember but I asked if you were signing bottles and you told me that you aren’t famous enough for that. I still would have found it cool. :)
Getting a free Mini, touch! As for your paddle board, make up a solution of water and a small amount of dishwashing liquid. Apply it to the top and wait to see if it starts bubbling. Rinse and repeat on the bottom.
Awesome video! Tom Clancy novels are great, definitely give Red Storm Rising a read if you haven't already as that book shoud be made into a TV series! Would also recommend giving the channel FIXEDIT a look too, as they have taken chapters of the audiobook for it and made really cool videos of them using the flight sim DCS World, the audiobook narration over the top and an 80's style synthwave soundtrack in the background. The videos for the chapters Dance of the Vampires and Nordic Hammer are especially good!
You pack a lot into the day considering that 9:45 wake up, per James. Let's see James Gin in stores near DC. Many of us - well, maybe just me - are too cheap to pay the shipping.
Always great to learn more about what goes on behind the scene in producing Your videos and the gin toting James May vids. Cheers from the Canadian Rockies l*l.
HI Lucy! Great content, nice overview of who you are and good to see you continue to put yourself out there :). Two questions: 1) Are you still considering moving? 2) Do you realize you are approaching the 89k subs that the "James May’s Planet Gin" has? That is so impressive after such a short period of time having your own channel. Be encouraged and dont give up. Cheers!
Soo glad to have found your channel, me and my wife who both enjoyed your travel blogs, were watching a James May video, and we both asked ourselves, where is Lucy? But hey great channel, keep up the great work, and if you ever want to come to the Nurburgring in Germany we can accommodate you and show you around for free obviously...
Great video of a “week in the life of”. On the paddle board question you might find it is general air leakage, over time, from the valve (like a car tyre), not necessarily a puncture
I too use the keyboard and mouse pad rather than one of those multi-button mice (though people swear by them for efficiency as you can program short cuts into the buttons ). Paddle boarding on the lake (estuary ?) indeed looks very relaxing. That light box gizmo looks very cool. I'd never seen one before. All the best and greetings from Prague ( where June/ July/ and continues to be 26-32C every day and sunny. Another good option for a European base ! )
I've got a great little cordless air compressor, it's about the size and shape of a drill, but it's great for topping up the tyres on my bikes. Might be worth getting one for your paddle board?
Great to see this work day, I'm an editor for a UA-cam channel but do find it quite lonely and hard to wind down after a long day (doesn't help when your work setup is in your home) Would love your perspective on these things. Heading to GoodWood this weekend to film with a team for experience - really want to expand on just being an editor
Awesome vlog :). It's interesting you don't use a mouse for video editing like I do (love your large panoramic monitor). Sox needs to help out more :P I'd recommend a PFD (lifejacket) for paddleboarding especially by yourself. Inflateables can lose a little bit of air if they're just sitting for a while, same as car tyres should be topped up every month or so. Keep up the great work :)

So from now on I will finally be able to write comments in Spanish I guess :D
Have you read any Chris Kuzneski? Great stories for me.
I like how it's 11:10am on wednesday when you are getting your morning coffee before starting work
Lucy looks like she has the best and chillest life ever
She totes does. Dunno how she’s working full time/ professionally off of a trackpad though, I think my wrist would just snap off after a couple of hours of trying to edit using a trackpad 😂

Turns out James wasn't just ribbing when he kept saying Lucy Brown was a bit posh.
It’s been a sneaking suspicion of mine for a while!
She does play golf
It's not difficult to be a little bit posh compared to Captain Slow! 🤣
Tom Clancy really? Marry me Lucy Brown!
How so ?
As a multi-repeat customer of James Gin and a UA-cam fan of you both, Thank You Lucy!
I would love to see a video where Lucy shares about her French background and maybe doing an easy French recipe she grew up with. ❤
Watching your vid puts me at peace. Very chill.
Great behind the scenes video of how much work you do. Sox looks awesome.
Great video Lucy. So awesome you paddle board too. With such a busy life you have with film making which is incredible, it’s cool to see you enjoy some you time, out in the water and paddle board.

I love your videos Lucy. Keep up the fabulous work
Interesting behind the scenes view!
Another great video, Lucy. I love these behind the scenes type vids. Thanks.
I admire and respect James very much and I believe people of good character attract others of good character; he is very, very fortunate to have you working with him. Your skill and dedication are impressive and your videos of your work are oddly mesmerizing. I enjoy taking a break to watch you at your craft. Well done, Ms. Brown.

I don't know why I like watching you, I just do.
nice one Lucy... lovely look to ur world in a busyish week.... Sox looked like they were enjoying the sun in the window
Your no-nonsense attitude is so entertainingly funny!
I love how Sox played dead whilst patiently waiting for some attention
Paws in the air. Sox is used to conversation
I do like Lucy. She is a good fit for the James May brand, and products.😄
A Lucy Brown video, outstanding!!
either Lucy is tiny, or that cat is CHONKY :D
haha, great to see you again
I really liiked your video! Keep up the good work. I love it!!!
Lucy, I'm a big fan, I feel good after watching your stuff, it's calming and soothing. I just wanted to personally thank James for all he's done, I truly loved One for the Road. Probably the most beautiful tour ever.
Fantastic content. Your workflow is quite impressive, and your attention to detail is evident in the finished work. Also, kitty!
I do love a behind the scene video. Thanks Lucy. That was very interesting.
Definitely sign me up for more Sox content!
Looks like a lot of work, but the most awesome gig ever! Can't wait to see what you're up to next!
I'm so happy you're back at it Lucy. I've missed your videos.
Clancy is awesome. Love the Hunt for Red October, Red Storm Rising and Patriot Games. Sum of All Fears and Clear and Present Danger are also awesome
This was super cool, very neat to see some of the lengths you go through for social media content. And you give such a chill vibe ❤
This was fun to see.. Lucy Brown hopefully you continue on making such cool content.. Thank you for creating and sharing this with us.

Thanks Lucy, loved the vlog. I also liked the idea for language learning. I been using duo lingo for Swedish. I think it's good to move towards conversational learning. Muchas gracias :)

Very enjoyable video Lucy, thank you.

Love the use of the reading lamp. I once worked on a shoot of customized Bugatti Veyron and amongst all the studio lights, we lit the interior by placing an iPhone on the console.
Cardinal of the Kremlin is an AWESOME book! One of my favorites of all of Clancy's works.
This just popped up on my feed. I had no idea you had your own channel! I keep waiting for more appearances for the cheap travel
Its unlikely your paddle board has a leak, most materials are somewhat permeable and like car tyres will lose pressure over time. If it was leaking, it would have been much flatter.
You a good watch Lucy, very informative interesting and I especially like your presentation. No airs or graces.
James Gin my favourite , got through one and half bottles not as much as Richard Hammond drinks in a night , but can wait to buy the new branding bottle. Thanks for the video.

Buy it before Trump's tariffs hit!
everything with beans is a 5 star recipe 🙂 everything with Lucy's face on/in it is also 5 stars 😊
Great Video Lucy. Its was nice to see what a week looks like and who makes your coffee maker.
I LOVE your sneaker collection :)
Always great to learn more about what goes on behind the scene in producing Your videos and the gin toting James May vids. Cheers from the Canadian Rockies l*l.
Hi. Loved the video. Thanks so much for sharing. 😊
that looks like a Laguiole style knife @0:41 . very nice
James can really spot the smart ones. Love your work ethic Lucy!

That was fun. Nice that you live close to water, that's a big plus.
Enjoying the cap!
I think i would ask Lucy to endorse .... < fill in the blank. She is such a clear and calm 😌 spokesperson
great video as always and its great you work with james more please
Wow, it's downtown Lucy Brown! 😉👍
…I never knew what a light box was before this evening…thanks Lucy.
i had some of james gin last night but i had it with ginger... not bad, my question is have you tried all the gin flavors and which would you buy?
Does she even drink alcohol?
Another excellent video!

Hi Lucy Brown! It's always nice to see your smiling face! May the algorithm be ever in your favor!
Where did she ever smile?
Nice. A new video. Have a great day!!

Nice video, beautiful backyard!!
I've got a great little cordless air compressor, it's about the size and shape of a drill, but it's great for topping up the tyres on my bikes. Might be worth getting one for your paddle board?
Enjoyed the video. 😊
How long before Sox gets his own UA-cam channel? Looks like a character. Love the vids, keep em coming
