Absolutely thrilling night at Irwindale Speedway and Drag Strip for Thursday Night Thunder in December 2023! The atmosphere was electric, and the adrenaline-pumping action on the track kept the audience on the edge of their seats. The drag racing competition was intense, featuring some of the fastest and most powerful vehicles tearing down the strip. The roar of engines and the screeching of tires created an unforgettable symphony of speed. The organizers did a fantastic job of ensuring a diverse lineup of cars, from muscle cars to sleek imports, providing something for every automotive enthusiast.
Hello All - Irwindale Speedway is a Top Shelf Facility and the news that it will be closing its doors at the end of the 2024 season was hard to take on the heels of Fontana. I highly recommend a trip here before it goes away. There is a ton of history at this track and the facility is still in excellent condition. I will continue to follow this venue, so stay tuned. thx...

@@BubbleGuts6913 Hey El - went and flew the Graffiti Tower downtown yesterday and got some great stuff. I'm heading back tomorrow to see how deep I can fly into the structure. The cops left me alone, but with all the arrests today, I'm not sure how I'll be treated. We'll see..
Are they strict with the safety requirements for drag race participants? Me and my buddies want to come down were running basically stock times in my 5.0 and their scatpacks.
Hey Luis - thanks for watching. I am sure if your vehicle is in safe condition, you can run it. There were some great matchups and it was allot of fun. They do this almost every Thursday. Was a great night, 20.00 per person included parking. There was good food and a great crowd to watch. Definitely check it out. Thx...
I’m sorry if i wasnt clear but basically i’m asking if they actually check for helmet, fire suit, and fire extinguisher. I read online that if your car runs an 8.59 1/8m or faster its required.
@@luismelchor3817 yeah I saw most of the runs and they weren't wearing helmets or firesuits. The big boy cars were all suited up, but the majority was pretty loose and it seemed controlled and safe. I will be going to the next event, so I'll talk to the track staff. Great questions..
