SISTA!!!! I was literally on my way to purchase a tool from my Loctician and thought to check UA-cam right quick to see if any DIY options were out there. Your video was first on the list. You just saved me $40! Thank you and Happy New Year!
I had wanted locs( micros) for about a year. My mom hates locs (thinks people with locs are dirty), which is a stereotype a lot of Jamaicans project specifically unto women because locs are for MeN. I kinda started to doubt if I wanted them so I relaxed my hair for the first time in my life (won't be doing that I again) don't like it so I cut it off now four months later my hair is like 2+ inches and I'm definitely getting my locs. I just feel like this style is for me, and I wanna wear my hair just as it is. I can't deal with the braids and stuff like that as it always itches or snatches my hair. You, tykaara Ann and queen eleem are my loc inspo and I'm glad I have your videos as someone with the same hair type as a a guide. I can only hope my hair will be as beautiful as yours.
Do it do it !! My mom hated my locs when I started my journey. And every opportunity she got she would rag on them. 9 yrs laters she is their biggest fan. It helped that my husband supported me in the earlier stages and I didn’t allow ppl to force me into retwisting my hair frequently. At the end of the day, it’s your journey live it how you please
Watched this, went straight to Walmart, made the tool and using it now! I went from using the sisterlock tool to this and I'm already moving WAY FASTER
I just subscribed to your channel, and I must say,I have received very helpful tips for my locs Definitely going to retighten my locs on my own.Thank you!!
I wonder if my needle is a different size from these...I did the samething and at first I thought it was a good tool... But , I found out early on it was too thick for my hair and caused pain...

I know this video is old but I just want you to know how amazing you are for even making this and showing it to the world. Thank you!!

Yeah that’s an outdated way of thinking. You’re going to love the freedom that a loc journey gives you.

I literally just got a pack of these and the shortest one was too long for my short locs. I will be altering some of them for my short locs. Genius!
