I made a gazillion bad casts that I pulled up to retrieve and bam…land a hog. The river Runs through it adage that you catch more and bigger fish because your line is in the water more so that not is been the best advice I have ever absorbed. Happy New year! 🍺

Yeah, it's like some of these people that tell me not to fly fish downstream. And the only things I've ever caught by waving my fly around are swallows and bats and A LOT of trees, lol. Happy New Year!
