    lovely video, but would you rather drade of power for fuel economy, or trade off fuel economy for a little more power, unles you get a tune on a diesel which will get you both potentially.

    Am thinking of getting one. But can’t decide between 0.8 and 1L. Which one do you think is best to run around in?

    Thanks for the very nice video, i want to ask whats your opinion about the smart fortwo on the A or B roads in the UK? Specially for commuting a distance about 30 miles

      Thanks not too bad however I’ve always felt on rough roads you really feel every bump it would depends a lot on the roads.

      I've owned my Smart ForTwo diesel for 11 years, I drive 35 miles a day, a mixture of A roads and motorway, yes you do feel the bumps on the roads, I really can't complain, I've covered close to 140,000 miles and it's only let me down once, I would recommend it as a commuter as it's extremely economical, as was mentioned, a little bit slow at pulling away, but once it's going, it will sit at the legal speed limits until it runs out of diesel, I've never done that in my car, it doesn't go below 3 bars on the gauge, that's normally around 370-425 miles depending on whether I'm running late for work or not, that's around 21 litres of diesel, I normally go a week and a half between fill ups, averaging high 70's plus to the gallon. For someone who's always owned big vehicles, I really like this car, I don't see me parting with it any time soon

    For off road buggy conversion would you go for the extra power and response of the petrol engine VS diesel?

    I don’t know much about these engines but consider remapping more power, more effortless driving and better mpg

    • @andrewgage6942
      @andrewgage6942 2 роки тому +2

      remapping can bring it up to around 66bhp and it is better on fuel, the only reason I haven't done it to my present vehicle is because I have an extended warranty

    I have 2006 Smart diesel and use it for work. Great on fuel and costs me $15 Canadian to drive about 350 km weekly. Cheap as hell. My 2015 Lexus IS 350 F Sport AWD cost $ 65 weekly. Only use the Lexus on snow days.

      I'm also looking forward to get one of those Smart cars. I live in BC and this week just for commuting I'll probably be at 600 km... That's 5 days a week, just to get back and forth to work... My Audi A6 (which I love it to the sky) is costing me around $130 in gas, per week... That's just getting ridiculous.
      But I think I would opt out for the gasoline one...
      Any other useful tips you might want to share prior to buy one? Thanks!

    • @andrewgage6942

      the Smart is cheap for a young driver purely because it's a 2 seater so no posing with a group in the car, they're also not quick, they won't break any records, but they are good to drive, a bit like driving a go cart and they're safer than a Corsa in a collision which hopefully you'll never find out
