This is mind blowing! I can only imagine the number of hours it took to master it!
Thanks! Hours? Let’s say weeks 😅
like 3 hours
Its called the dance of eternity for a reason
Really? Hours? Bro if i start learning this it will take me 1 year to even learn until the solo :D
@@AlessandroMarinoPianist Months!!
I reckon Chopin and Gerschwin would just shake their heads in disbelief about how far the piano playing has evolved 😄 Brilliant 👏
😂 thank you!!!
I'd give anything to see them react to this.
@@king-manu2758 me too 😂
Absolutely jaw dropping, both arrangement and performance. Translating this ridiculously complex song into such clear and spectacular performance on a single instrument is an extraordinary feat. I can't even. Phenomenal!
I love when I see comments like yours, it means you understand the hard work behind this video 🙏🏽 my arrangements start always from the aim of trying to translate the original sound and atmosphere into a high level piano language, like in the 19th century many great pianists did, starting from the orchestral music. Metal bands are my orchestras, in this case!
It's super insane to see a piano solo cover of Dance of Eternity, you even played it cleanly! Super amazing too!
Thank you very much! It is part of my Chamber Metal Project, which I hope to bring on a live stage soon! 😎
Holy shit it’s the flaming piano
@@AlessandroMarinoPianist A whole year late, but just wanted to say that I'd legit pay to watch you play live. This was perfectly arranged and played, it's insane.
@@MechMonstrosity thank you so much! You can follow me on ig for news about my live shows. Most of my shows are in Italy and Europe, but I had some small tours in the US and Asia as well.
@@AlessandroMarinoPianist That sounds amazing, I'll be there next time you're in the UK! Keep it up my guy, you're phenomenal
It is the most insane transcription of the piece. I love you simply make the piece more elegant by putting some insanely incredible elements inside the original composition. I would really love to hear this as a version of the song being studio recorded (it still sounds insane indeed). Keep up the incredible work and I wish you get ahead in this field. Cheers!!
Thank you so much! Messages like yours encourage me more and more in realizing my forecoming Chamber Metal Project, in which I’ll play piano solo transcriptions like this one, and piano and electric guitar both metal and classical transcriptions!
I don't think words can express how I felt after hearing this. I only want more and more!
Soon, I promise! 🙏🏽
I just loved how you managed to put percussive parts where it was needed, and worked the left hand in a much more interesting way than just mimic bass/guitar. You put so much more classical music elements. I wish this will be a classical music piece in near future :D
I was playing a piano version myself, and I would like to try to play more like your version which REALLY amazed me! If you don't mind of course (I'll reference you)
Thank you for your message! I really appreciate you recognized classical music elements. Indeed, in my “Chamber Metal Project” (which includes this piece, other piano solo transcriptions and others for piano&electric guitar, for now) I want to create a bridge between classical and metal, showing they are very close to each other, despite every sort of people’s prejudice! Of course no problem if you want to quote my version! :D
@@AlessandroMarinoPianist That's so cool man!! I'm following you. Keep up updated in your project! It will be awesome
My man I can't get enough of your piano transcriptions. Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
Thanks! It’s part of my Chamber Metal Project, so you will see more for sure 😎
Very nice! When played on the piano, it is pointed out even stronger, how much influence Keith Emerson had on Jordan Rudess.
Indeed! Thank you!
Jordan must be proud of you. Awesome!
Having played only the keyboard parts in this song, that was itself a herculean task for me.
To witness a complete piano transcription of this song, is baffling to me.
So clean, so precise, not missing a single beat and managing the different tempo variations whilst playing even the guitar parts is just phenomenal.
I am just mesmerized to see this!! 🥲 I just want to hug you and tell you that you're absolutely insane!! 🤘
Thank you so much! It is part of my Chamber Metal Project, in which I want to build up a bridge between classical and metal, through my piano solo transcriptions or duet piano & electric guitar (I uploaded two videos of this duet). Hoping to make this project debut live soon!
Ai limiti dell'impossibile, una sfida al virtuosismo dei giovanissimi difficile da imitare. Un coraggioso esperimento di congiunzione tra
il passato e la musica del futuro. Un virtuosismo che supera ogni confine.
03:01 - man, that's amazing that you're even playing John Myung's bass solo at this timecode! Very impressive stuff.
Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
just discover the piece !!! like your channel !! grazie mille !!§
Thank you so much! It’s part of my Chamber Metal Project, in which I want to build up a bridge between classical and metal, through my piano solo transcriptions and for piano & electric guitar duet. I hope we can debut live asap!
@@AlessandroMarinoPianist THANKS SO MUCH !!
i could never imagine how it would be like to play this song only in piano and you demonstrate it for real... phenomenal!
Thank you! Even if it’s 2022, I still believe in the potential of this instrument, and I’m trying to show it!
Amazing!!!
Excellent! 👏 👏
It's just too good to be real 🥺
Thank you 🙏🏽
amazing playing
Speechless! AMAZING 👏🏾
great!!
Hats off!!!
wtf this is so fukin good. why does this not have lots of views wtf
Thanks man! 🙏🏻 Share, then 😂
Incredible!!
this is insane!!
Damn! Your arrangement really shows a deep understanding of "Dance of Eternity" in all of its musical instruments and their interaction, (not only keyboard); your genius to figure how to transcribe such complexity for piano, the technical skills and musicianship to perform it not to mention the different camera angles that were obviously carefully planned.
You're a genius!
Thank you so much! It’s a very pleasure for me to read these comments that understood the work behind. This is my philosophy in transcribing from rock/metal, trying to keep the atmosphere of the original, not only melody and simple bass 😅 I want to give due merit to those genres, even at the eyes of who are not into them.
great!
Really inspiring cover and playing.
Thank you!!😃😃😃
Wow, the oscar winning actor from The Pianist is actually an amazing real pianist in real life!
but seriously, incredible version....people don't understand just how much skill and time this would require to put together
😂😂😂 thank you!
Luckily I have received many comments from people aware of the work behind this video (as well as my other arrangements from metal songs). I hope to debut live with my Chamber Metal Project asap! Basically, I do the same as the virtuoso pianists of 19th-early 20th century, when they started from orchestral works and translated into a piano language trying to recreate the same power, the same atmosphere. But in this case metal bands are my orchestras 🤟🏽
Amazing!!😍
It's just mindblowing.
That was amazing, Alessandro! Thanks for sharing your version! Looking forward to hearing more from you
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽
Incredible Alessandro! 👏👏
Thanks man 💪🏻💪🏻
It's just amazing

Great Song 👍 Great use of different camera angles 👍 Keep it up, I hope to hear more from you soon 🙂👍
Eccezionale!!!! 👏👏👏👏
Grazie mille!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Oh my goodness, this is incredible! Great work on this piece! I am so glad that your channel was recommended!
Thank you so much 🙏🏽
This was an amazing and soooo enjoyable video! You added all the things neccessary so you don't miss any other instrument or solo moment that have the drums, guitar or bass, you did everything that the ear catch when you listen to this DT song from the album. I'm a nerd with this song and this was very satisfying to hear. Congrats!
I’m very glad to read all this! My aim was exactly to “translate” everything in piano language, like Liszt did on Beethoven’s symphonies, and many other great pianists did on orchestral works. I’m doing it on metal masterpieces 😂 thank you!!!
Really impressive
Amazing Master. Bravo!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Formidável 🎉
I've been trying to learn the piano. And I'm just mind blown at how hard this thing is yet how well played it is.
When you don't play an instrument you can tell something is difficult when listening to it, but when you try to learn to play that instrument you can tell how much more difficult the thing is.
Thank you! Yes, it is difficult, but quite affordable for professional “classical trained” pianists 😉
I really love your cover. It's very very cool !
Thank you!!! Check out my other piano covers from metal songs in my channel!😎
WOW!!!!!!!🤯
Wow
Amazing!!!
Thank you!🙏🏽
Super
Bravo 👏
Top performance!

Mostruoso!
Grazie 🥰
Virtuoso ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks man!
Amazing !!
You rock bro
Amazing, very impressive 🔥🔥🔥
You are amazing! Wow!!!!
Thanks 🙏🏽
Oh my goodness, my mind is blown! Just learning it on keyboard is hard enough, never mind a solo piano version! The ragtime solo was flawless, you even performed the bass solo (!), and sailed through all those time signature changes like nothing. My own piano covers (which I still have yet to upload) are heavily influenced by my classical training with RCM, and you set the bar ridiculously high for me. Well done!
Thank you so much! It’s part of my Chamber Metal Project, in which I’ll play piano solo transcriptions like this one, and piano and electric guitar both metal and classical transcriptions! I’m looking for good occasions to bring it live! 😎
What a jaw dropping sublime performance..wow
Thank you!🙏🏽
It's absolutely amazing! I have known this title since 1999 in every detail and you have done an incredible job and you have with crazy talent! Thank you very much for this moment
And I thank you for noticing the work and the effort I put in making this piano solo version 🙏🏽 I wanted to get close enough to the original effect, like I always do in my piano transcriptions. Not simply the melody and the bass (like most of piano covers), but every detail I consider important for the “orchestral” effect.
Perfecto👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Fenomenale 😍
Grazie Francesca!!!🥰🥰🥰 fa parte di un mio progetto più ampio che forse già quest’anno debutterà dal vivo 😎
Wow, allora attenderò con trepidazione!
fucking amazing!!! Take my like god man!
Incrível 🤌🏻🔥
WOW!! Complimenti!!!!
Grazie!!!💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Incredible arrangement man. You nailed this. Fantastic job
Thank you so much 🙏🏽
200th like, but I wish I'd seen this sooner! Absolutely amazing and clean.
Wow. I can't stop listening to this
Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Amazing. The exclusion of the first chord of One Last Time was really the icing on the cake for me
😎 maybe that first chord will come one day when I’ll write the complete album piano solo version 👀
Amazing job, dude... 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
5:06 this is my favorite part, i love how you use the bass notes to modulate the rhythm like the drums normally would. Really solid work.
Thank you so much! This is part of my Chamber Metal Project, in which I want to build up a bridge between classical and metal through my transcriptions from metal pieces, both for piano solo and piano & electric guitar duet! I’m looking for good occasions to make a live debut with this project 🤞🏽
I've heard this entire album a milion times and never imagined this video could exist but it does and I'm speechless. Brilliant work.
Love your passion and cinfidence! Amazing :-)
Lost for words. Out of this world.
Thanks 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
This is by far the most impressive piano cover I've ever heard. Holy shit. Really really great work!!!!!
Thank you so much! Many years ago I promised myself to make a piano cover of the whole album. Don’t know when, but I will do it 😂
@@AlessandroMarinoPianist God, do you hate yourself?😂
@@Walter-pb4en ahahahah maybe! But I would love to have all this music in my hands, showing that it could be thought as an “orchestral piece” as well as classical music pieces. My Chamber Metal Project, indeed, wants to build up a bridge between classical and metal. I’ve always thought they’re strictly connected, despite appearances
@@AlessandroMarinoPianist You've showed, they are!
Looking forward to hear more from you💯
WUAUUUUUUUUUUUUU... This is superb!!!
never thought i'd see marco minnemann play dance of eternity on the piano :o
😂😂😂
Credo di essere svenuto più volte mentre tenevo il beat di Portnoy sotto al tuo virtuosismo!
Strabiliante!! 👏👏👏
😂😂😂 grazie!!!
I was amazed by people playing La Campanella, but this one takes it up a notch. Incredible version of one of my favourite songs. Really impressive skill set and endurance!
Thank you! 🙏🏽
I really appreciated that! This guy has an ocean full of talent. A literal sea of piano
Astonish yourself with me.
PQP!

@@AlessandroMarinoPianist thanks for the reply sir🙏🙏🙏
Absolutely fantastic! Greeting from Indonesia ❤
Man this was insane. Looking for more progressive from you. 😍
FLAWLESS
Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
Spettacolare fin dall'inizio
formidabile!
Grazie mille! 🙏🏽
Holy molly that was impressive. I saw the title and already went "wait... can he?" and hell yeah you managed to pull off. Loved your interpretation, specially the way you toyed with dynamics to pull the same agressiveness the guitar and bass have in the original piece. Fantastic job
Thank you! You really got the point, I wanted to recreate the same power and expressive details of the original but with a pianistic language! 🙏🏽 Exactly like pianists of 19th-20th century did transcribing from orchestral works
Wow this is crazy! Great job!
Thanks!!!
2:23 ragtime part :D
Increíble trabajo! Mi admiración total. Cuando esté disponible la transcripción házmelo saber! Porfavor
