    Very good instructions but what abt breathing.. leg position close or wide.. you can also tell angle 45 deg etc for body .. i can feel the core...

      Namaste Bhavani Suresh ji
      Initially to start with, keep the feet about half a feet apart. With practice you can also later on bring the feet closer.
      Just make sure that you don't hold the breath. It is seen that longer exhalation helps to engage the core more.

    I have a question, this vs the plank where we use elbows as support instead of palms. Please explain are these 2 very different. Thank you.

    • @SiddhiYogaInter
      @SiddhiYogaInter  2 роки тому

      These two are not much different. Muscles that we engage in this posture is quite similar to the other. However, the base of support, serratus Anterior muscle, forearm muscle engagement is slightly different in both. You can do either of them depending on what suits you more. The extended arm variation is definitely a progression of forearm Plank.

    😅 How come some people plank with there back horizontal as opposed to diagnol? All yoga books inform me to plank the exact same way you do but other UA-camrs and even my instructor have diagnol legs going into a horizontal back?

    • @SiddhiYogaInter
      @SiddhiYogaInter  Місяць тому +1

      Good question..In a plank, some people align their back horizontally to target the core differently, while others maintain a diagonal alignment to engage the shoulders and back muscles more, based on varying techniques and body types.

      @@SiddhiYogaInter thank you it's been stressing me out because despite doing yoga for nearly a year now and attending weekly classes my lower back always feels bit tender a couple of hours after planking so I've been trying to perfect my practice

    I think dandasana is different from this pose

    • @sandeepsolanki7868
      @sandeepsolanki7868 4 роки тому +1

      Namaste Sagar Rawat ji.
      There are few school of yoga which have same name for different asana.
      Few school of Yoga calls High Plank as Dandasana, as mentioned in the video and few school of Yoga calls Staff pose as Dandasana.
      I hope you understand.
      Thank you for watching our videos.
      Take care and God Bless

    It would be better to first show the pose in one go with all the breathing instructions...and then go about teaching it step by step...as I have observed sometimes crucial info gets left out..
