Just thought of dropping this fan fact: most of the lyrics for this song is taken from the diary of a soviet soldier who fought at stalingrad, sabaton just added a couple of things here and there and rearranged it into a functioning lyrics
Sabaton did another album lyric videos release of their metalizer album which was made before they samg about history but their song hail to the king does sound like a historical event plus it's a good song considering it was one of their first

And it's very interesting listening to Sabaton songs that are not based on History, and instead you're listening to Joakim sing about Drinking Beer and Driving His Harley Davidson! In fact you should check out the Song "Harley From Hell", it's actually a bonus track on the Carolus Rex Album.
