@@Jordan-Ramses lol you definitely wouldn't have been. it's very easy to say you would be but it is *very much different* when you are actually put into those situations.
I don't think the issue lies in Eren's intelligence but in his naivety and immaturity. This episode of all shows he's eager to withhold his emotions and gain as much information as he can but ends up getting into an argument with Reiner due to overwhelming feelings of betrayal. Of course I have the privilege of knowing how his character develops as I've seen the enitre show but just wanted to give my 3 cents.
Honestly I think it's safer to say that he is of average intelligence, comparable to or better than Connie and Sasha.

Eren doesn't understand what's going on because he literally wasn't there for any of the Beast Titan shit. He was busy fighting Annie and then recovering until the message about titans being inside Rose finally reached them. There hasn't been any time to share info or get reports between that. Also Eren isn't just confused about the beast titan, he's confused about what a monkey even is - there aren't monkeys inside the walls, and so it's a completely alien term to him. Basically the three titans around him are talking about and referencing a lot of things that no one in the walls knows about. You'd be lost as hell too.
Also he's literally fifteen years old. And has a massive amount of untreated trauma.
You can say "it's so easy to know what to do" but you're looking from the outside/audience perspective and with knowledge of our world, but if you were in that situation yourself you likely wouldn't be able to remain rational either. Especially given how agitated the one guy gets over a character whenever they do something he wouldn't. XD

I agree, 15 y.o. Eren is too enraged and emotionally stupid, the boy is too traumatized, his mother died in front of him, his friend got eaten by a titan, his military seniors in the Levi squad all died protecting him and his best friends in the military are actually the titans that started the chaos. Eren is just too damaged and wants to kill them all.

Well, that's it, I think many people already said to you how emotional Eren's character is, sometimes his emotion can be so uncontrolable, seems like taking control of his actions, preventing him from doing more critical thinking. Very emotional character, to the point when I rewatch the show, I got surprised on every moment he use his mind more than his emotion lol 😭, for example the moment where him, Armin and Mikasa were about to get sh*t by the garrison's canon, surprised he can still give Armin a chance because he realized his idea to just escape right away and just go out to his father basement alone was unrealistic 😅, surprised he did'nt just go "I don't want to risk Mikasa and Armin here anymore, ok whatever I jump out of the wall, I'll k*ll all those titans outside and reach my dad's basement raaaggghhh" 😭

Also, you're correct when you refer to Eren as stupid. He's an idiot through and through and not very competent. His only reediming qualities are perseverance and determination. But he's meant to reflect the audience being lost at the amount of questions to be answered. So take it easy with him!
Except he isn't really stupid, he's just average. The main reason is he's a 15 year old who just found out 3 of his friends betrayed all of humanity and one of them is literally responsible for killing his mum. Of course he's super emotional.
