It really is jaw dropping when you consider how many different fake cards/slabs have creeped their way into the hobby. Now, with this being said, I don't believe it is worth it to force sell your whole collection. Most fake cards tend to be very iconic with the #1 fake card in a slab being the Jordan 86 fleer. Even so, most slabs out there of major companies are real, but you must keep your eye out for possible fakes. As the scammers get smarter, we must get smarter as well. Hope this helps!
Stop buying bsg and psa grading. Bring a magnifying glass because fakers don’t use multimillion dollar printers. The best way is to use a magnifying glass and it’s easy. It’s very pixelated. I stop buying high value cards long ago. I just buy rookie grades cards early, because it gives no time for them to make fake slabs or fake cards in time. That is why card companies are making high end looking cards. Just too hard to make a good refractor fake.

Great video! When I purchase a graded card I always scan the bar code in the PSA app to see if it checks out, then check the borders of the casing for any sign of tampering, and finally check the slab header if it aligns with PSA style. Once that all checks out I always look at the quality of the card itself- don't purchase the grade, but rather purchase the card in the slab. A PSA 10 doesn't mean it's a PSA 10 quality from what I have learned over time so do your own due diligence before purchasing.
I've never used the app. But I'm getting bigger into buying graded cards after holding out for so long. It's a good tool then? I'm always worried about this on ebay cuz just looking up the serial isn't enough. I've seen duplicated numbers.

I always look up certs and prior sales and match up pics. If something doesn’t look right I pass. Be careful with most consignors as many of them will sell anything. But it frustrates me too. I don’t even usually buy super high end cards but even find questionable slabs at a few hundred dollars. Remember a lot of these cards were double and triple the price in early 2021. So they may be in the cards for more than the current value and motivated to scam sadly. I wish all grading companies had photos of every graded card easily accessible.
This card is now trying to be sold on ebay. From a seller who lives in Dallas. When you search the psa number it says its been temporarily deactivated for questions regarding authenticity
I have to get some photos sent to you of a modern PSA slab I have that has alot of features on it that I have never seen before. Idk what to think because it's not a big name player or card. Maybe it was worth a couple hundred dollars at one time. 🤔 I don't know if they have different slabs and holograms for stabbing at the national or other venues
The worst part to me was at the beginning where there’s a dude 2 feet away watching a police scuffle with his little daughter in his arms I would keep my kids so far away from that shit
They won't get convicted. All they have to do is say they didn't know the cards were fake and that they purchased them from someone else. PSA destroyed the evidence as well. Case closed if they have competent attorneys.
Grading cards kinda ruined the card collecting thing as a kid for me... I remember before grading was around we had the honus Wagner fakes floating around!

LOL, it's always PSA and their 1960's technology of their slabs
Old slabs, newer ones are better
What are the cops gonna do? the scammers could also say they thought the cards were real
yup at the time until more info came out
THEY GOT ME TOO , I BOUGHT 1 OF THE BRADYS.
Message me on IG breakoutcards
Nice content keep it up brother!+
Thanks Scooter
Great info bro..
Thank you
This scares the crap out of me buying on eBay.
I wish all grading companies had photos of every graded card easily accessible.
just made an ebay video
This card is now trying to be sold on ebay. From a seller who lives in Dallas. When you search the psa number it says its been temporarily deactivated for questions regarding authenticity
interesting
I have to get some photos sent to you of a modern PSA slab I have that has alot of features on it that I have never seen before. Idk what to think because it's not a big name player or card. Maybe it was worth a couple hundred dollars at one time. 🤔 I don't know if they have different slabs and holograms for stabbing at the national or other venues
Lots of variations of slabs 10 different designs which makes it tough
I was there lol pretty crazy
yup crazy situation
Crazy.
it is
The worst part to me was at the beginning where there’s a dude 2 feet away watching a police scuffle with his little daughter in his arms I would keep my kids so far away from that shit
really sad
How much did the scammers sell those cards for? It seems like they were selling them at pennies on the dollar which should be a huge red flag
Not pennies on the dollar. Good chunk of change
This is why I like to just open packs. Lol.
I like singles, packs are fun though
This is why I got out of the hobby back in 2014 and will be the reason for this hobbies downfall!!
Hope not
They won't get convicted. All they have to do is say they didn't know the cards were fake and that they purchased them from someone else. PSA destroyed the evidence as well. Case closed if they have competent attorneys.
Idk much more to the story then what the public sees. Might have intent
Same things happen at militaria shows...
ouch
This junk is definitely on eBay and everything so rip we probably all got some fakes 🤦💀
Yup ebay is working on it though look at my new vid
Grading cards kinda ruined the card collecting thing as a kid for me... I remember before grading was around we had the honus Wagner fakes floating around!
Rose as well so many fakes
A antique dealer in my town of Cold Spring NY got jacked on bogus PSA 33 Ruth Goudey that he paid over $10K for SMH
Ouch
I hear they were doing good deals on real cards to get in good with people then pawning these off. I busted the guy when a guy sounded the alarm.
Would make sense, I interviewed a few people in part 2
