really intimadating for new people like me getting into this hobby again , the avg collector or kid could get scammed pretty easily
Great Info!!! I own a card shop in Phoenix, nice tips to spot out fakes… I’ve had people try to sell fake slabs before, but I spotted them it was make 6 years ago. But we get people trying to sell fake every once in awhile. Just have to a better eye to catch things if possible especially if dealing with expensive cards.

Thanks for the update. Many different theories about the Dallas controversy. Lots of speculation if it was fake cards, fake plastic slabs, fake labels, or fake Mike Baker stickers. Brady cards and/or Jordan cards counterfeit? 100 different stories from 100 different people.
This is the fully accurate story with everyone being involved in it verified
Buying vintage unslabbed I usually smell the card and it will have an old sweet smell to it. However some fakes are so old they can smell the same. Buying slabbed cards has become way too risky.

Last week I was linked up through text with a guy who had some cards to sell. He sent me a picture of this same brady!!! As well as a Mac jones kaboom and a Luka 1/1. When the brady didn't come up on psa's website I passed on any deals. I wonder if i was talking to the scammer or one of their innocent victims.

I have been scammed twice in the past year, but luckily for me it happened on EBay and I paid with PayPal, so in the end I got my money back in both cases. The deals you have shared are far bigger than the ones I got caught in. Everyone needs to know about this stuff and how to do your best to protect yourself. Thanks!!!

nice to see all these young faces in the hobby. My son who is 28 thinks that I am wasting my money on cards. And should be buying crypto. Sucks people selling fake cards are destroying the hobby. They should really crack down on this and put them in jail.

Should make it a card show norm, on high end trades and buys to hold card beside your face and take a picture. I think that would stop a lot of this.

whenever you purchase a large ticket card you should always check the serial numbers before buying. Something seems wrong it probably is. Does anyone know if these scammers sold on eBay?

I bought a raw 2017 Optic Deshaun Watson on Ebay about a year and a half ago. it was a Rookie Gridiron Kings auto /10. I sent it to PSA and it came back fake. The base non auto card and the auto are virtually the same other than the auto, stamped serial #, and the "the autograph is guaranteed by Panini" line on the back. Well mine didn't have that guarantee on the back and I totally overlooked it. It was a sticker auto and the sticker even has the panini hologram on it so be careful, Optics are being faked.

Were the '86 Fleer Jordan cards fake? Or were the plastic slabs fake? Or were the PSA labels fake? Or were the Mike Baker stickers fake? Difficult to get the facts when the work 'fake' is thrown around so much. I appreciate any clarity you have on this. Thx.
@@gametimegallery7661 the 3 Jordan's the guy with the beanie had on him were in Mike Baker reviewed and they looked real saw them in detail after the fact as well. I did not see the slabbed cards, labels, or holder but they have been confirmed fake. Speculating they crack them, raw review them, sell the real ones, then double back around, and sell fakes inside the real slabs so double dipping.

I don’t think people should sell all their cards. Some yes but those which are way overprinted
This is why I collect Junk Era Gems. It's not going to be worth it for anyone to create a counterfeit 1990 Score Chuck Knoblauch PSA slab, or a 1990 Leaf Dave Justice PSA 10.

why would you? its a clear plastic sleeve to protect the slab from scratches.. before this what reason would someone need to remove the protective sleeve??????????

Your video is uploaded AFTER plenty of other videos talking about how the entire thing was a mob of misunderstanding and the cards were actually real and had been verified earlier by someone at that show? i watched your video first then went to find more info and have now noticed this. So which is true?

@@BreakoutCards The other video are guys that were there and filmed the altercation outside so that changes nothing. All both sides are saying is 'i'm right, i was there' at this point.
