Fun fact, this type of washer has been around for more than 70 years. I had a slightly larger one once from the sixties. I now have one of the newer ones. They are all basically the same, just different sizes and prices to suit any situation.
Yes!! They are so efficient as well. I've seen some that are a bit bigger and smaller than mine. Since it's only 2 of us, mine works great!
My grandmother had one for her trailer back in the 70's and she always said it was a great little washing machine. She thought it did a better job that the community washing machines. I'm looking to get one of these myself.
I've had mine for a couple of years, now & it does ALL my laundry EXCEPT for comforters & floor rugs. Those are best left for the laundromat gigantic machine. Here are a couple of tips. I'm 5' 10" so never ever wash more than 1 pair of pants at a time, or else you'll have 3700 knots that only a sailor can undo. I have invested in some mesh garment bags & those are a game changer! My "full" load consists of 1 pair of pants (or a skirt), 1 pair of shorts & 4 shirts OR two pillow cases with flat & fitted queen sized sheets. My machine sits snugly on 4 cinder blocks right next to my shower for easy drainage & I use my hand held shower head to fill. A full wash with two rinses & two spin cycles takes me 35 minutes. Start to finish.
This is SO helpful!!! Thank you!! Yess! Bigger loads like comforters are definitely not good with these.. because of the size. I'm also happy to hear that yours has lasted for yrs. I hope that if I take care of mine, it'll last as well. By the way, do yours have any problems/ issues with pilling?
@@JoannaRoxanne If you have clothes bunching up, lighten the load & put two new tennis balls, in the tub. These jump around as the tub agitates & they keep the clothes un bunched. I clean the machine (inside & out) with clorox wipes once a week. Complete game changer!
@@JoannaRoxanne Duh, sorry...I also invested in a lint roller & "pill" shaver, available at Walmart. It looks like a small electric razor. I have not needed to use it when using a quality & properly sized mesh bag.

I only run a wash cycle, first wash are my wifes clothes, or my weekend/after work clothes (i work construction). An awesome tip since this machine hates softener is to put in a capful of apple cider vingegar in the wash. I do my rinse in the tub in a rubbermaid. Its less water and an excellent workout. When i hang my clothes ill put a fan blowing on them to dry by morning. Happy laundry😂

Me too. I put it off for over a year because honestly I didn't think it was going to be worth it- for being small. But the second I got it, I've been using it weekly. It's just efficient and comfortable being in your own home doing laundry!
At the price people pay in New York for rent, it should come with not only a washer/dryer, but a maid to do the laundry! 😳
I can't believe the cost of rent that people have to pay in places like New York and California.
Here in eastern ky my neighbor has a nice 2 BR apartment with garage and pays $595 per month, and when she learned that the new owners were raising the rent by $50 she went nuts. 😂
Also, can you just pour water into it by bucket if you don't have a sink to connect to?
It is ridiculously high compared to other places in The States. 😬 sadly we get used to the rent prices here quickly:/
And LOL yes! My friends who pay less than 1k a month for rent always tell me about all their utilities included haha 😅

Great video! I am so with you. I LOVE doing laundry. It's so satisfying to do. My wife and kids don't mind not having to do laundry. I do all laundry: wash, dry, fold, and deliver, every day. It's part of my morning routine. : )

This has to be a really good portable washing machine because Amazon is sold out of it. I saw that Walmart has it- so I got it from there too. Love the review! When I was searching for an apt i was really reluctant on needing to do laundry in the laundry room but having a laundry machine in unit is expensive so this is a nice alternative! Also love the song!
Me too!! Even when buildings have laundry rooms, I feel so awkward using them...especially if there are other ppl there. Haha. And yes!! There are many other sizes too. Some are smaller, some are a bit bigger too!
I have one and the actual dryer. The trick with spinner is snake it in circular motion, like a coil. Spinner uses centrivicle force to dry. I wash a week of me and kid's clothing. LOVE IT!

Using a small amount of fabric softener in the final rinse will prevent the clothes from feeling stiff since you will not be fluffing them in a dryer.

This was the best purchase I’ve made in awhile my apartment complex has washer and dryers but they cost $4.50 to wash and dry that adds up after awhile
YES! I will forever keep this washer. I use it all the time and just have gotten used to it now. I tell all my friends about it when they are moving into a new place. So worth it!

Yes that’s the con for me as well! A lot of manual work, you can only set the spinner times does not automatically fill up and drain and rinse. But other than that best thing I’ve ever bought!!

How long does it take your clothes to dry with the hanging method and have you ever thought of placing a fan facing the clothe to dry faster.? If so how long does it take dry with a fan and without a fan…sorry just curious cause I’m thinking of getting this one as well😅
Hi Roxanne! Oooo we have the same name! haha that made me so happy!! Okay so I've never tried a fan, but trust me even without a fan, they dry within 2 hrs!! so I usually do laundry at night so that they are dry in the morning. Or I wash in the morning in case I need an outfit for the afternoon/ evening. I use this washing machine once a week and love it!
I own both a regular washer/dryer machines and a compact portable washer/spin dry machine. I end up using the portable machine because the way my home is set up, I can do all my laundry (wash and air dry) without having to lug all the laundry up and down the stairs. Using the portable washer and air dry uses less water and electricity than the regular washer/dryer. And there's something kind of cathartic about doing my laundry with the portable machine. It seems more relaxed, and I feel like I'm in my own thoughts. If that makes any sense.
Oh definitely!! I actually ENJOY doing laundry. It's peaceful. I get to take my time and thunk about other things while seeing this task get completed. I also agree- it doesn't hurt my electricity bill qt all. So that's a huge plus! 🥰

I love mine I have this exact one I don’t go to the laundromat anymore. If I need to wash bigger bulkier items like comforters or big blankets I just wash those at my moms. I live in an apartment with two bathrooms and I use one as my laundry room now 😊 I’m able to keep up with both my babies clothes my own clothes and my boyfriends clothes also I have a dog so I’m always washing something
I hope to have two bathrooms one day!! One would definitely be the laundry room as well. Mh hmm. I love the size of it too. I can just come home from work, put a week's worth of clothes in it and be done ASAP! I hated going to the laundromat, especially because I never had cash on me. So I would always have to go out of my way to take some out.

I had one just like this one for two years until it broke on me,So I went out & purchased me a panda automatic washing machine & it works well,I enjoyed mine & it saved me so much time and money,Now I have a panda 3.5 Heat Dryer,I have a large family

Thanks to the portable washer and spin dry, we no longer have to worry about if we have enough money for the laundromat. Plus ,while doing laundry there are other chores we could be doing around the 🏠 that will save us time. ❤️🥰
YES! Whenever I do laundry, I take advantage and do things like wash the dishes, vacuum/ mop, and before I know it, laundry is done! :)
You never hear about this but you can hook inlet hose to spin side and get a spin rinse.

It's worth it. When I moved into this apartment, I used the laundromat for a whole year because I was doubtful about these. I hated having to take cash out, and wait around for my clothes, and being around so many people. So I finally bought it. I can wash from the comfort of my home and as often as I want and it doesnt do anything to my electricity bill. I think it went up like 1 dollar- if that.
I just purchased mine. Currently, I’m in a wheelchair and can now do my own laundry! Please note, when on drain cycle, the lower the hose, the water will drain properly. So, I had to sit my washer combo on a bench, lower the hose & drain. If you really, really want to save, make your own detergent and it’ll cost you pennies to wash your clothes. 😄

my very first time seeing how they work. I've seen them around and my sister in law back home have one. so the dryer part is another spin cycle that will ring the clothes for you. I thought it would actually dry the clothes hehehe. anyway nice review my friend. I am using full size washer and dryer but it can be stack-up if we ran out of room which will not happen anytime soon hahaha. I got a huge huge in the country.

Hey! It is a gravity drain machine right? Did you put an extender on your drain hose, and it still drains into the toilet no problem? You don’t have to put it on a higher surface to drain?
We got one a few months ago and just love it the wife hates the laundromat and loves washing at home now.......
