Valerie.., Christina was fortunate to have a friend like you for the majority of her short life. i feel like if this would have happened just a short time further in the future with with the internet and cell phone being more common place.. and obviously that would not have stopped the actual crime... but the technology having had moved forward would have made it more helpful when trying to find your friend and why she had just quickly vanished like that.. there really is not a whole lot that someone can say to make the pain of what happened go away ..i do not believe that it really never gets any easier when people are robbed of their lives by this sort of thing .. and it never seems fair... because it really is not .. and there never really seems to be any kind of reason and or reasonable answer to why these things happen to good people all the time....but i believe and have to think that the family and friends do somehow learn how to deal it the best way that they can with the help of their family and or friends .because in reality that is all we really have.. .the friends and family are left with no other choice ..but to just remember that someone cared about and loved them for who they were and they will never be forgotten.. and to always remember that you were in fact an important part of their life... and it can be good to think that you did at least have them be a part of your life for a short short time and that i believe is better than to not have never known them at all..

I guess not..
My heart goes out to Gingers family and Christinas only friend. But I think the most heartbreaking part of this story for me is knowing that there are so many kids growing up just like her, with families that don't care about them at all. If it wasn't for the love of a girl she met in a group home setting, nobody would have thought about her or missed her at all. When kids are broken, they glow in the dark to a predatory mind. It's like throwing a bone to a yard full of hungry dogs. Im not trying to undermine the murders themselves. This part just really got to me
@roseannmartinez3310 Then why was her friend the only one who identified the composite drawing, described her haircut and jewelry, the only one the detective dealt with or the only one willing to speak on her behalf for this story? And if you thought her friend was full of shit then why wouldn't y'all step up and get it corrected, other than disputing the details of the story in a comment section? And why would the detective talk to her friend if the family was actively involved? And why does the friend need to contact the family about their daughters situation? Were y'all not dealing with the same detective?
@@roseannmartinez3310It won't make you feel better blaming people who did nothing wrong. You're going through a lot, but so is she. There's one person to blame, and that's the murderer. Hope you get closure, but this isn't how you get it.
I have one story and the story has never changed … The day Christina went missing we woke up at 6 am … (Christina was suppose to be at Florence critten since but stayed the night at my house as she often did we woke up at 6 am got ready for the day my father dropped me off at school at 7 and 7:30 and I would ditch and go home to Christina the last time so saw Christina she had a back pack full of clothes intending to drop them off at the laundry mat behind my home then meet me at Mc Donald’s I can even remember the actual clothes she had in the backpack I can still remember the clothes she was wearing. I waved goodbye to her and followed thru with plans to meet at Mc Donald’s she was no where to be found. Fast forward to 12th grade I see family members in school and ask about her- no one seen her. Years go bye MySpace came around I try to find her AGAIN. I’m told they think she has been with me this entire time I ask if anybody will file a report I’m told no they think she is alive and fine probably just living her life. I knew then no way in hell she is alive just ignoring everyone her family and friends all these years so I FILED A REPORT AS SOON AS I KNEW I COULD. I gave everything I had to help Christina while she was alive and I continue to give every ounce I got left in me to help her story never get cold again. My biggest regret is not knowing something horrible happened sooner so then maybe they wouldn’t have lost her body while she was a Jane doe. I didn’t even have a boyfriend I have no idea why you are so angry with me for telling my truth I never once put any blame on anybody except myself and the monster who killed her but the way you attack me and blame me is insane. You should put this anger towards Craig
@@roseannmartinez3310 did you report Christina as a runaway or a missing child? Bc those are two totally different things and means the police will handle it differently, different resources allocated, etc. Look, I know you and your family are heartbroken over the loss of Christina (as is Valerie) and that you were seemingly not contacted to participate in this documentary and are upset about that. However, you attacking Valerie and other commenters in this comment section is not the thing to do and it’s making you look bad. You catch more flies w honey than vinegar. Valerie was a child, a minor, and seemingly a troubled child going through her own stuff when Christina was murdered and went missing. She’s not to blame in any of this and as an actual child, just like Christina was, there’s only so much she could do and understand. She had no way of knowing that something bad must have happened to Christina until many years later. Many years later, when she was an adult, she actually did do something and played an important role in finding out what happened to Christina, as did your family in working w the detectives to give DNA samples to help identify Christian officially. Valerie would also have no say in anything to do w this documentary, the making of it, who they did or did not contact, what parts of the interview and footage they ended up using and what they did not, etc. For all you know, Valerie did tell them to contact you or maybe she just assumed they did. But, she did not make this documentary and bears no responsibility. From the looks of it, you guys seem to bear some ill will and blame on Valerie. That’s not fair. But, that may also be why Valerie doesn’t stay in touch w you, doesn’t contact you on FB, didn’t reach out to you to tell you she was interviewed for this documentary and ask how your interview went, etc, bc she knows there is no love lost b/w you all and that you guys blame her and direct a lot of anger her way. Honestly, from reading your comments on here, the way you’ve attacked & blamed her, accused her of lying, the insults you’ve thrown her way, how you’ve flown off the handle at her, I can completely understand why she doesn’t have regular contact w you and if I were in her position, I would most likely do the same thing. You said you will be contacting a lawyer, I’m guessing bc you were not contacted to be in this documentary by the news channel. You will waste money, time and energy doing that. Christina and Ginger’s case is in public records which anyone can access and can report on - whether it be via a written piece for media, a book, podcast, documentary, docu-series, YT video, so on and so forth. Anyone who does any reporting on it can interview whomever they wish to and are not obligated, let alone legally required, to interview certain ppl or include them in the process. That’s just the way it is. So, getting a lawyer would be pointless and a waste of money, time and energy. We have no way of knowing why those making this documentary did not reach out to you or wanted you to participate. Hell, maybe they did try to find you and reach out, we just don’t know. But popping off the way you have in these comments will make ppl think they didn’t include you for very specific reasons and will not endear you to others who may be interested in covering Christina and Gingers case (or the public at large) and get the public more aware of the monster who snuffed out their lives and will horrifically walk free one day. It’s crucial the public is made more aware of this case in hopes that some connections to other crimes and potential victims can be made, so that monster - who is the only one to blame and be angry at in all of this, will stay behind bars, where he belongs and is no longer a threat to the innocent. None of my comment is said in hostility. I feel horrible for what all of Christina’s family, friends & loved ones have gone through, what Valerie has gone through and what the family, friends and loved ones of Ginger and any other potential victim has gone through. ♥️♥️
I can't believe the police didn't go right into the store and get those tapes. That should have been the first thing they did. They also could have checked out neighboring stores to see if they could see which direction she left or if she left.
In Gingers case, they should have suspected something because he claimed the tape was reused and it was still the same day she had been recorded, that’s very unusual.
I've heard of this "John Flowers" before but never in depth as this and im impressed, you have covered the crime but more the victims and families stories as well which we never hear, we just hear the usual same old crime story so thank you for your presentation and the narration was brilliant too! Why would let a serial killer back on the streets and give someone selling marijuana a life sentence? Why isn’t someone looking in the desert for their bodies?
That poor man, the father of Ginger 🥺 I hope that I never have to go through this with my daughter. Sometimes I forget they even when she becomes an adult, I’m still going to have to worry about her safety. 🥺🥺
The thing that most upsets me is that Christinas body is in A mass grave somwhere! What is this WW2 again? And that no ones being held accountable for this! Guess what after the war ended all those people in neighboring towns to the death camps who just stood by saying or doing nothing! Had to dig up those graves and give each individual person theyre own grave respectively! There needs to be better record keeping and more respect for these peoples bodies wether unidentified or not!
those poor victims and victims' families!! I can't imagine what they go thru day by day💔 this needs to be announced with a live press conference where he will be living and keep us updated if he is really going to be released. i can't believe a monster like this can be let out?? they also need to keep cameras on his home at all times.
Not much of a spy shop if videos are copied over that quickly. Red flag to me. Maybe should have detained him and got a search warrant. But Monday morning quarterbacking is easy to do.
I'm so sorry for the loss of Ginger and Christina, but it is so very evident how loved they were by Gingers Father and Sister, and Christina by her friend, and I'm sure by many, many other people who's lives they both touched. As absolutely horrific their deaths were, they are now grieved by many more people worldwide, may they both rest in peace.
Actually they do. A large majority of s3x trafficking victims come from loving supportive homes. They get manipulated and groomed to run away, and then shamed by their abuser for the things they put them up to doing. So they feel like their families will never forgive and love them after what they've done! Yes most runaways have troubled home lives. But you can not say that they all have something to run away from cause that simply is not the true reality of the situation!
The killer shook the hand of the man whose daughter he killed more like it. The action tells us more about the killer than the father. The father beats himself up. How was he to know for sure? Dad is just a really nice person.
The detectives should search the grounds in the area of other victims with high powered metal detector. If any of the other potential victims had any jewelry, the metal detector would probably go off.
reading his correspondences with briana is infuriating. he clearly has zero remorse and is obsessed with being the subject of speculation and media attention. that much is obvious from the way he sent briana several follow up messages and an e-card when she stopped responding to him, directly asking for her reaction. and then adding "certainly, I will be released... the latest 2031 and I will probably be an unparalleled monster!" makes him even more pathetic. even after the documentary went live, he still attempts to tease more details about his criminal history. it's absurd that he could be reintegrated into society within the decade.
To be more precise, I live in Australia and came across a weird, obscene, "painting" in an empty house, depicting a woman eating watermelon entitled, "Picnic in the Nevada Desert". The woman was unclothed. The picture has bits of newspaper stuck to it. Someone went to the trouble of framing it, glass and all. I couldn't understand the signature and there's a date on it. It's stashed away, a tad inaccessible and I've forgotten the date but think it's in the 90s; not sure though. Not this century, definitely.
Both Arizona and Nevada have a lot of desert areas the states are neighbors so parts of the Nevada desert are connected to parts of the Arizona desert. I’m 36 born and raised in Arizona and our terrain and landscape looks so similar to parts of Nevada that sometimes when I watch a movie or a show I’ll think it’s being filmed In Arizona then find out it was actually filmed in Nevada.

God this is heartbreaking I usually don’t watch these types of programs. It had something to do with Arizona so I did. The pain in Ginger’s father cuts’s to his soul . Rest In Peace
Given the strong suspicion there are the bodies of other women in shallow graves in an area the killer used to re visit, why have the police never used dogs trained in identifying buried bodies. It really must be worth a try. My commiserations to those poor souls who are still suffering their loss.
Go to his dumping ground with as thin steel rod/probe. When you notice a area than looks disturbed, run that rod into the ground there. If it's a grave that rod will easily go into the soil. Doesn't matter if it was dug a few weeks ago or 20 years ago, the rod will pierce the ground easily where normal ground it will not.
Vegas & other neon, alcohol infused, cheap & tacky places have zeto appeal to me. When i go abroad, i look tor locals & where they eat & dtink. Less tourist the better. Seedy places have seedy characters. Sorry for your losses.
This just proves that the Police are there to pick up the pieces after the crime has been committed. EVERYONE is responsible for their own life and their loved ones when it comes to protecting themselves. It really is that easy to figure out.
The deserts from Las Vegas to Arizona to Southern California are littered with bodies. If you thought a few barrels found in Lake Mead a few years back was shocking, pshh
What kind of useless cops still do not check out the last place the victim was seen going into? No going in to check the store? Also, any normal spouse waiting in car will NOT leave that store she last went into until AFTER police show up and would DEMAND police go all thru store, look in cieling, chexk floor for hidden cellar. Why, because in this day and age it is completely justified. Ppl have proven they do anything and are sick.

i feel like if this would have happened just a short time further in the future with with the internet and cell phone being more common place.. and obviously that would not have stopped the actual crime... but the technology having had moved forward would have made it more helpful when trying to find your friend and why she had just quickly vanished like that.. there really is not a whole lot that someone can say to make the pain of what happened go away ..i do not believe that it really never gets any easier when people are robbed of their lives by this sort of thing .. and it never seems fair... because it really is not .. and there never really seems to be any kind of reason and or reasonable answer to why these things happen to good people all the time....but i believe and have to think that the family and friends do somehow learn how to deal it the best way that they can with the help of their family and or friends .because in reality that is all we really have.. .the friends and family are left with no other choice ..but to just remember that someone cared about and loved them for who they were and they will never be forgotten.. and to always remember that you were in fact an important part of their life... and it can be good to think that you did at least have them be a part of your life for a short short time and that i believe is better than to not have never known them at all..
Who is Flowers/Jacobson? Which is his real name? Where's his family? What's his background? He committed double murders at 26. Im pretty sure he had other crimes in other places.
This is very well put together. I hope True Crime Arizona puts out more quality programming. People die everywhere of course and often under bad circumstances. This film touched on the spookiness of Phoenix. Thank you.
When I'm out with my wife, I'm her protector. If she goes into a shop without me, I'm waiting outside.
So was her husband,he was right there smoking by the car parked out front.. I'd done the same hundreds of times, not even for a minute thinking she might not come out,you just don't think that would be a possibility.. it's hard to realize that this particular scenario would happen to you, because of all the countless times It didn't and yous are just out shopping like the normal times before.. it's a false sense of security that puts us in danger,it's diminished our ability to be aware of our surroundings and detect danger.. it's not like you're in a bad part of town you know is dangerous,it's just a store, must be legit..right? I guess not..
@@Seven.And.The.RaggedTiger I would have known she didn't come out and I would have searched the shop.
♥️♥️
once you do things like this, you are no longer human
It’s a given that he is a serial killer and should never be released, so crazy
I can't believe the police didn't go right into the store and get those tapes. That should have been the first thing they did. They also could have checked out neighboring stores to see if they could see which direction she left or if she left.
How come it’s legal to torture “terrorists” even minors without trial or evidence, but they can’t torture this guy? Explain please…
Do you want to do it or just watch?
In Gingers case, they should have suspected something because he claimed the tape was reused and it was still the same day she had been recorded, that’s very unusual.
I love these please make more 😍😍
I've heard of this "John Flowers" before but never in depth as this and im impressed, you have covered the crime but more the victims and families stories as well which we never hear, we just hear the usual same old crime story so thank you for your presentation and the narration was brilliant too!
Very sad, but well done piece

those poor victims and victims' families!!

Here’s the thing PEOPLE DO NOT RUN AWAY FROM LOVING CARING AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENTS!!!
NEVER EVER SERIOUSLY 😒
Actually they do. A large majority of s3x trafficking victims come from loving supportive homes. They get manipulated and groomed to run away, and then shamed by their abuser for the things they put them up to doing. So they feel like their families will never forgive and love them after what they've done! Yes most runaways have troubled home lives. But you can not say that they all have something to run away from cause that simply is not the true reality of the situation!

Right, if he ever walks..........
reading his correspondences with briana is infuriating. he clearly has zero remorse and is obsessed with being the subject of speculation and media attention. that much is obvious from the way he sent briana several follow up messages and an e-card when she stopped responding to him, directly asking for her reaction. and then adding "certainly, I will be released... the latest 2031 and I will probably be an unparalleled monster!" makes him even more pathetic. even after the documentary went live, he still attempts to tease more details about his criminal history. it's absurd that he could be reintegrated into society within the decade.
Does anyone have any clue if this "man" is into drawing and painting? How far is the Nevada Desert from Arizona's Desert, please?

Given the strong suspicion there are the bodies of other women in shallow graves in an area the killer used to re visit, why have the police never used dogs trained in identifying buried bodies. It really must be worth a try. My commiserations to those poor souls who are still suffering their loss.
What really got me was her remains were put into a mass grave of Jane & John Does. DNA should be done on all of the remains.
You did a good job detective
