You have a very nice compound…very self sufficient!
We’re getting there! Thanks for watching.
It’s very interesting to see how you live, food and language which is very similar to Thailand. Watching you from England!
Thanks for watching!
👍👍lucky you retirement in Laos 🇱🇦 my friend! Enjoy your retirement 👍 i love country side farm
Lao is a great country…friendly people, delicious food, and wonderful nature!
Thank you for sharing. Me and my husband are retired, 6 mos. in the Philippines and 6 mos. in the USA. In our Philippine property, we had exactly did what you are doing. We wanted the place to be self-reliant, so we had drilled a deep well and then built a big rain water cistern. I really enjoyed to see our accomplishments after a hard days work. Life is not as sophisticated living in USA but I am happy because we can pretty much live simple without having to keep up with so much " standard". It almost feel like l am in a playhouse. It is not for everyone but we like it very much. Thank you for sharing and enjoy!
Found your channel and we’re subscribing! Great place you have in the Phillipines! Lots of work, but in the end worth it to have your retirement dream! We’ll be watching and learning. Thanks for watching our channel!
Simple and peaceful life 😍

Beautiful farm. That dinner looks great too. Will you consider offering homestay in the future? Looking forward to your cost breakdown.
Thanks for watching! Interesting question on the homestay. That might be a fun thing to do in the future. Let us know what kinds of things would be important as a guest! 👍

That’s an honor to have Nenee comment on your video. 😁
Very nice complex! Pretty much self-sufficient!
Maybe someday I’ll retire and go back to live in Laos-part year!
Need to be back in the states thought 😁
What city/village is your property?
I saw the other video of the cost to build. Don’t think you mentioned the location.
We’re located in Pak Ngum about an hour from Vientiane city. Thanks for watching!
@@retire_recharge_roam
Oh ok. That’s out there a bit.
13:30 your statement about moving to south east Asia is completely wrong. I travel here past 6 years and now reside in Philippines where it’s humid and hot especially now it’s summer time but in our house we have electricity, A/C and all other western necessities.
Thanks for the feedback! Great to hear about your place in the Philippines! Speaking only from our perspective, based on our budget for the house we built and living in this part of the world. 👍
Can you please tell me the beginning song that you had... What is the name of the song????
“Changing,” by Neffex
Thanks for watching!

Hi Anthony! Looks like you’ve got a wonderful adventure ahead of you! We’re not quite set up yet for homestay, but I would contact Chris Barth, who has a network within Laos that could probably help you. Good luck!
