Can you do a video to explain using what you called the overall world lighting settings (about 18:20), how to use them for realistic day light. I am new to rendering and I do not understand how to get realistic lighting.
I have been experiencing some problems with glass and water from my sketchup models once i import them in to twinmotion, i model them as i do for 3dsmax, both glass and water surfaces are solid 1cm thick, and some times they import as opaque or too dark, even using the clear glass TM material.. what would be the best way to model glass? also, what would be the best way to apply a transparent material in SKUP? first the material and then turn it in to a component or first a component and then a material, again, talking about glass
Have you tried modeling them as single pane? Are you sure you don't have multiple faces occupying the same space? Some trial and error might be required here
Maybe - a lot of the time when I create interior renders I use sunlight coming in from an exterior window. It seems like most of the time a room has SOME form of exterior light associated with it...
Hey justin, I downloaded twinmotion for free from one of your videos and whenever I open it, it tells me to update, or else it's not opening. Will it still be free?? Thanks so much
Hey, Justin. HUGE thanks! This week I've been binge watching your tutorials, and here's my first published video made with TwinMotion: ua-cam.com/video/niYb-pcP9a0/v-deo.html
Really nice work! Great attention to detail - I like the section cuts of the buildings that show the building that still show the shadows - looks good!
Ive seen a video showing TM getting better in grass. Good job. But the worst thing about TM still remain, it trees. Damn, all TM trees are crap. TM should remove all the plant and tree and replace it with Evermotion plants and fix those lighting.
I have a feeling this is a licensing thing - My understanding was that there used to be more, but I have a feeling Epic doesn't have licensing agreements in place for that kind of content at the moment
Good morning everyone! Let me know how you've been doing with Twinmotion in the comments below the video! :)
Great overview of Twinmotion lighting
😎
Just downloaded today. Gonna give her a try later. Thanks Justin. Great video.

Awesome video, thank you Justin!!
Thanks - glad you liked it! :)
Nice job . I learned alot from you
Thanks - glad you liked it!
Hi Justin, loving Twinmotion all thanks to you! Is there a way you can make geometry move/rotate?
Don't quite understand - wouldn't you just use the rotate function?
TheSketchUpEssentials sorry, I meant, have an object rotating on its own, like an animation.
What are the settings in the su-model concerning shadows, use sun for shading and display on faces-onground-from edges?
I assume this question has nothing to do with Twinmotion? More info on shadows here - ua-cam.com/video/q5IIT-camiw/v-deo.html

appreciate man
Thanks for watching!
could you make an interior render tutorial without sunlight and using only artificial lights?
Maybe - a lot of the time when I create interior renders I use sunlight coming in from an exterior window. It seems like most of the time a room has SOME form of exterior light associated with it...
Been watching your vids and am doimg ok but I have some experience in other software
Dometing I cannot do is get rid of the lamp placement gizmos
I don't understand - the gizmo should only show up when you select the object
Hi Justin!
How can I get the plugin for sketchup to twin?
Thamks!
Here you go! - www.unrealengine.com/en-US/twinmotion/plugins

I assume so - whatever the current version is is still free to download before November. I'd back up your files somewhere though
@@Thesketchupessentials really appreciate it
sometimes after the create image , ı couldnt click or change weather localization or lighting on the menu. why is it happening ?
Don't know - are you in media mode? You might need to click the button to exit media mode
dope
Lol - thanks!
How about head and tail lights on the cars?
Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to make this happen with this version
One question: where is the wet pavement effect, can't find it...
Found IT!
Awesome :)
