- Welcome to Tool Review Tuesday! Today's item is a Ridgid 3.5" Round Head Framing Nailer. This is model R350RHF. It puts out an industry leading 8 nails per second.
The Rigid 21 Degree Round Head 3.5" Framing Nailer has an outstanding rating on The Home Depot website. The nailer is loaded with features that are explained throughout the video. The first noticeable item to mention is the amazing hexagon over-molded handle and trigger. The magnesium metal housing makes it lightweight and durable.
What project would you use this framing nailer on?

great video. I love the bench setup with the pegboard, shadow board with the lights above. Just building a garage now and will do the same in mine.
My first nail gun was an old Senco 1989 version. It was a good old gun but is heavy in relation to the new guns. I have gone through two Porter Cable guns since the Senco, but this gun looks impressive. Thanks for the video. Al from Maryland, Remodeling Contractor of 35 years.
These lighter weight nailers are SO much appreciated when you use them day after day.
Just picked this up today. Really great nail gun. Finished framing my basement bathroom with it today.
Round head for sure!
The no mar head goes in the C shaped circle on the rack where the nails slide. I love mine! It does the job
I just bought this nailer. Love it.
Thanks good video-I'm going to buy one.
great gun ............ using it 5 years at least 2 days a week on commercial jobs.......just add oil twice a day and it will last forever
I’m a 13 year old carpenter my first gun was a hitachi nr83a
Thanks for the video. I just bought one of these today and haven’t got to try it yet
great review! hey I just wanted to comment that with the driving of the nails there is an adjustment dial on the head of the nailer to allow the hail to go deeper or stick out. Thanks again for the review.
What project would you use this framing nailer for?
Thanks for video. Just got one & love the thick teeth, your right they are very good at keeping gun stable while toe nailing. Also lifetime replacement part is was got me, as well as 20 more nails with faster rate & some competition didn't even supply the air line hook up! & it was 100$ cheaper....
It was great my friend. 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏
I picked this gun up last week and I like it. FYI I didn't see anyone else post this; I found there's a little orange adjuster by the tip that limits the depth of the nail. I can run this gun at 20psi and it'll drive nails in proper all day with it adjusted down. If I run at 80-90psi adjusted like that it'll bury the head about 1/2" in a 2x4. I don't know if that's bad for the tool to run that low psi though, I didn't see anything in the manual about it. It sure works though.
Thanks for the time you took to make this video.. it really helped me in my selection process.. i wish you wud have showed the compressor you were using tho.. i have 2 strong dewalt ones so im sure im good. but if you had one of the same i knew there was a problem.
I hope the repair process doesn't take as long as the LSA approval process. I registered my new framing nailer three weeks ago and it still hasn't been approved. I'm seriously considering returning the nailer and buying the Milwaukee.
My 25 year old Porter Cable out-worked my new Ridgid till it blew a seal.
Thanks for your review. Have you noticed any trouble using the plastic collated nails vs paper with this nail gun?
