We're Trying Our Best...
My favorite blues artist, and one of my favorite artists, regardless.
"My own family, couldn't have kids. So the neighbor had me." R.L. Burnside.
I think he said his family "couldn't afford kids." So I'm guessing the neighbours had to raise him.
😎
@@sammyangranope he said what he said
R.L. Burnside is an American treasure, and should be forever remembered and listened to! He also serves as a fine example to this- and future generations of being at work doing what you love- playing!
Absolute Legend
Love his music, love his style. He has been a big influence on me and my music. Glad to see his band living on with Kenny Brown still recording and Cedric getting bigger every day. Thanks RL and thanks Fat Possum
Hill Country Blues has a special sauce in the rhythm and pace.
Burnside is my FAVORITE Bluesman🎸💪🏾
Great little video ! When i first listened to the music of RL Burnside, it changed everything i thought i knew about the blues and also it changed the way i played the guitar, so at the end it was a life changing thing when i first listened to his music. I remember i saw an album review on the Guitar World mag, and it was about the soundtrack of the movie Deep Blues, where RL and Junior Kimbrough appeared. Then I saw the movie You See Me Laughin and that movie just blew my mind !! Cheers from South América - Bolivia !!
It was great that Mr. Burnside enjoyed some success with his music. He was in the line of Mississippi Fred McDowell, among others. Rest in peace, R.L.
Thank you R.L for kicking it up a notch and having a great time when you came to Dallas. Never be forgoten.
Well, well ,well mr.Burnside! Thankyou for doing your thing! We appreciate it!
I remember when I first heard RL on VH1 in 1999. It was a blues explosion to me. Thx RL! Greets from germany

Polacy słuchają R.L. Burnside
Yes the blues started in Mississippi but with a Spaniard gypsy guitar long up hill and down hill long long roads from the east to the west and from the west to the east gypsy magic front ancient roads and sounds learning and building her way to the energy of natural laws sounds

A friend turned me on to R.L., I found this. He's so relatable and has an awesome playing style. This is great. Thanks for sharing.
Love it !🌹
Well well well the legendary Mr RL Burnside I can say is one of the best Hill country blues singer that ever lived but what Satan's me is that I never met him but I met his son Dwayne Burnside and his grandson Cedric Burnside them too who are keeping that their father/grandfather's musical style alive and both Dwayne and Cedric are talented in their own ways but one thing I can say is that I'm glad Mr RL Burnside chose the blues because the rest of the Burnside was born into this music we call blues and I'm glad they did there's only one Mississippi and they got the blues Man and the musicians to prove it 🎸
Cool.Cheers
