Grew up n Worcester Have been a way for thirty years, but I remember the area fondly. After I graduated form Worcester State College, I worked a few years and headed west. I miss New England. The trees, the awesome winters, seafood, Italian food, People, arts, education, ocean, etc... It has a lot of great things.

We live in the south, but I've lived in Boston, Central and Western Massachusetts. My husband is from England (the country) and we're thinking of moving to Massachusetts in a couple of years.

How come I can't find a studio in the city for 800-1000? How much do you have to pay for a descent studio there, $1500??!! For $400-500 more, your looking at studios in Jamaica plains, Roxbury, or Dorchester and at least your very close to downtown Boston.

Don't expect him to answer, he's just shilling what is likely his realtor services. These "let me help you out when you're ready to move!" types are so, so annoying. They cater to the wealthy.

Milford is better still not good but worcester is trash. if you live in Worcester long enough you will see people being shot to death. I did both when I lived on the corner of west and elm and infront of the school on north ashland street. theres also drugs dealers standing on the corner of main south and prostitution right there too. its not a nice place to live.theres also a lot of crack heads and junkies you have to watch out for. I also had an apartment off whipple street called Henry terrace. the whole building always smells like crack smoke. this guy that lived next to me his name was danny got busted by the dea and went upstate for 7 years. he had this friend named D and he robbed a car and drove off the FL with it to avoid being caught. but I bet he went away a long time too. worcester is an actual ghetto. milford is not. I grew up there I left 3 years ago for the suburbs of worcester best thing I ever did. if you own a honda civic or an acura be prepaired for it to he stolen. one of my friends had 4 of his honda civics stone. the cops found 1 of them stripped to the frame cause the vin numbers on the frame. theres also several pick up trucks they love stealing ford f150 Chevy silverado. in Milford you dont have to worry about your car being stolen.

Can't wait to go to a baseball game again in Worcester. I stopped going to Braveheart games 3 years ago after I heard Bravehearts owner John Creedon treats his employees like dirt, stiffing them out of pay too. Especially the minorities.

@@jayy88 where has it been gentrified? over near Salisbury st. thats always been there. go to main south or the valley and tell me where you see gentrification. there is always nicer areas of a city. tatnuck sq and Salisbury street have always been rich people. every where else is a ghetto. if you think there is "gentrification" show me where? grafton hill? Vernon st? the whole city is a ghetto except 1 nicer area. but that area has been there since the beginning of time. around where all the millionaires and yuppies live in worcester. that one nicer area doesnt reflect the city. a baseball park doesnt mean worcester was gentrified. they have been saying that for years. first it was with the common outlet malls. but Worcester was too ghetto so no one went there. then it was lets fix the common outlets and put a hospital there. still didn't make it any less ghetto. infact I have seen in the last few years more prostitutes and herion junkies on main south than I ever saw in my life. worcester is getting worse not better. violent crime was up last year higher than the last 10 years. all crime was and its on track this year to even beat that record. nice try though. I know worcester too well. its a dump. I work in Worcester and lived there my whole life till I moved out of there to a suburb so much better.

Main south is half as shitty as it used to be. The new court house are with unos and all the other restaurants. The valley has been remodeled but the people are the same. Again in a city with 200,000 people there are going to be some bad areas. I grew up in upland gardens (now autumn woods) even that place has improved in the last decade
