Grew up n Worcester Have been a way for thirty years, but I remember the area fondly. After I graduated form Worcester State College, I worked a few years and headed west. I miss New England. The trees, the awesome winters, seafood, Italian food, People, arts, education, ocean, etc... It has a lot of great things.

Where are the descent studios for less than $1000 a month. I've check many online apartment rental sites. Couldn't find any. Have to live up in Fitchburg or west to Palmer and commute which defeats the purpose of wanting to live in Worcester. If 1 bedrooms in Worcester are running $1400-2000 a month, that's starting price for many places in Fairfield county, CT and at least your close to NYC.

How come I can't find a studio in the city for 800-1000? How much do you have to pay for a descent studio there, $1500??!! For $400-500 more, your looking at studios in Jamaica plains, Roxbury, or Dorchester and at least your very close to downtown Boston.

I always wanted to move to New England, but I'm always disheartened by either violence rates or insane house costs :/

Lived in Worc for years got squeezed out of there due to high taxes and rents. Mass is too expensive!

how were the drugs crimes and prostitution on main south near may and Piedmont st. gangs and shootings not mentioned at all. you just said run down factories? even if you mention that why not throw in there the mill fire that made national news where homeless people caught the mill on fire and left and a fire fighter died looking for them.. or antifa related attacks in the city. I saw an old 102 year old man there with a trump sign durring the election ww2 vet mind you (killed nazis). and antifa members called him the nazi and beat him up in the rotary on pleasant street I called the cops but they were gone long before the cops came. I ended up driving the old guy to the emergency room. they at the very least broke his arm. 3 20 something year old communists. worcester is the shit hole of Massachusetts dont let anyone tell you other wise. I grew up there and lived there for decades. at night I saw a few drive bys out my window when I lived on both west street and north ashland street supposedly some of the "nicer" areas near becker college. on north ashland street I saw to spanish guys murdered in broad day light..murders were never solved. on west and elm I saw a drug deal go bad and a guy getting shot. taking my kids their school baseball game there was gun shots right there even made the news. in a different address I lived in the city a girl cut the baby out of another woman left her dead in the closet and fled to new Hampshire where she told her family she had a baby. also made national news. there was also a guy running around the street with an m50 sniper rifle. that he stole from a house in auburn. that lead to a bust of 800lbs of ammo also bombs and several fully automatic machine guns were found there. not to mention all the crack heads and heroin addicts all over the city. begging for money from everyone with different sob stories. worcester is a dumpster stay away from it. you wanna live some where nicer move to a Shrewsbury or a holden if you must move in the area. theres some affordable apartments in both towns and close proximity to the city. worcester also sucks for shopping most people leave the city and go else where like the Solomon pound mall northboro crossing or the Auburn mall and other areas. its really run down and buisness tax is too high so theres not a lot. they have a walmart a target a lowes and home depot. best buy closed down and failed in the city so you can forget that. and every time I went to the walmart my car got vandalized or broken into. so I elect for either the one in west boylston or spencer. I ended up leaving worcester as of 3 years ago for a nicer suburb of Worcester no regrets at all. I dont have to worry about answering my door with a baseball bat cause junkies keep knocking on my door. no longer have to worry about gun shots going off and people getting shot or a stray bullet hitting me especially when I lived on a first floor apartment. no longer have to worry about the neighbors smoking crack and my kids asking whats that smell. or my other neighbors selling heroin. its been the best thing I ever did worcester is such a dirty run down place save your self from this city. all the suburbs even know how bad Worcester is and how junkie and crime ridden it is. they tried to revitalize it for years but its never worked too much crime and drugs. and this time they are trying again with the baseball field its gonna fail too.. also the cops take a very long time 30 mins to get there when there is a shooting even though they have a shot spotter all over the city and they know where it came from even when no one called. but you know when a couple kids shooting off fire works or having a small college party they right there to throw their ass in jail. and on their way they ignore the drug dealers and prostitution and gang activity on main south that spills over to the rest of the city.

Worcester is the center of the universe.

What about crime in Worcester? The homeless problem. The drug problem? You didn't even touch the surface of living in Worcester.

Great video I was moving in 2019 to Massachusetts from Long Island New York I was scared to lived in Worcester I ended up rent in Milford which is 25 minutes away from Worcester later on I failed in love with Worcester I think Worcester will be home soon.I like your video
