Roxy is like entering into another World. In 1972, my Dad would have pointed at the telly at Brian Eno saying "look at the state of him!" That pleased us more than anything.
Thank you for doing this, this is from 'The Old Grey Whistle Test' which was a popular music program shown on BBC 2 for many years, this is from 1972, if I remember rightly. The guy with the tinsel jacket is, Brian Eno, who left the band shortly after this to pursue a solo career.
Brian Eno, the keyboard player is Brian Eno and he had quite a long career including an amazing lp with David Byrne, the singer from Talking Heads called "My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts".
The Strand is an upscale social and economic region of London. Thats what they mean by "do the strand". Roxy does a number of these tune live in recent times if you are interested in better sound.
When it comes to Roxy Music , one of songs which blew me away was , Out of the Blue from Viva Roxy Music album. The first time I saw them performing this live was in 74 /75 at the Apollo in Glasgow. Eddie Jobson playing his glass electric violin was absolutely outstanding . Worth a look and a review if possible. Thanks.
Bryan Ferry - ahead of his time yet again in 1973 with the Travolta Saturday Night Fever (1977) dance pose or should I say Travolta inSNF with the Bryan Ferry pose.
1. The blond guy is Brian Eno. 2. Eno's job was to mix the band and put them all, individually and collectively, through a modular synth. The end result is that you are never sure which instrument is being featured. It was deliberate...
I've seen an interview with Phil Manzanera about that, he used to get annoyed with it sometimes. Eno would have part of Phil's guitar signal sounding like a singing whale being catapulted into a bus, while Phil was thinking, "wtf Brian"
I know probably have thousands requested coming your way. But Can please react to Dimash kudaibergen? Dimash is man with wide vocal range. He sings thirteen different languge. He even raps. You won't be disappointed when hear his voice! P.s He is known to be the Greatest male singer. ua-cam.com/video/AUARjexCTlQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/eaq24OhkBRE/v-deo.html
This couple seem like they never enjoyed thier teenagers years. They look perplexed. Maybe they thought that the Eagles were avant garde. I'd pay for them to step outside the USA and see people not like them .
We're Canadian. And the Eagles, as great musicians as they are, are certainly not our go to band. Perhaps check out a few more of our videos before passing judgement.
This one is completely awesome. The lyrics are everything in this song. It took me about five listens to really get it.

love Roxy; they preceded Disco and I love that. Great band. Admittably strange in the coolest way.

I saw them live three times in Liverpool best live performances ever.
No gives a toss what you think !
Any song that can get rhododendron in the lyrics is a masterpiece!
This album is still perfect to me after all theses years
Great live!

You can’t go wrong with Roxy Music.

HARD RAINS GONNA FALL WHEN BRYAN WENT ON HIS OWN

Exactly.
I've always loved the way Ferry minces over to the keyboard
HI Guys,
Do you know a tune by Roxy music called
Same old scene
Came out in 1980
Great, Iconic, early Roxy with ENO

Rhododendron is a nice flower.
Evergreen
dance on moonbeams
slide on rainbows
. . . .
mix it with sreeeeaaamin sax and hammering piano and . . . .
Ferry is the wittiest lyricist since Cole Porter.
It's partially satirising the silliness of dance crazes, so an instruction manual on performing *The Strand* was never really on the cards
Hi... I'm William! :0)

I doubt if you could film Andy McKay's trousers in today's social climate....

Tired of the tango. Fed up with fandango.
