Imagine the ID.7 being the normal RWD edition with the same battery and 19" wheels. It would blew all the others away in efficiency. It's the clear winner for me. BMW too expensive and no practical backseats, Porsche way over budget and unpractical, Zeekr too much consumption and no dealers (resale value?), Nio not big enough. Great video btw, good job!
You also have to consider that the ID.7 Pro S has about 10% more range for less money than the GTX. If you dont care about AWD and acceleration its even better

@ turn off lane assist so it only activates on travel assist. Then just sit further across to the left and it’ll allow it, at least it always has on everyone I’ve had . However if you try and deviate even an inch with the Tesla system the whole thing disengages and the car jerks to the side. Full travel assist (not ACC with lane assist) allows movement within the lane . Thanks for the long and comprehensive test. I own a ID7. I have driven my it, 77 kWh sedan, now for 5 months and 10000 km and I am happy to see it can compare itself with other even more expensive brands. I know it is boring but as you said overall the best pick for the € or krona. My longest drive was Munich to Stockholm and back no issue what so ever. It didn't feel like a BEV. BEV cars are now equal for almost every use case compared to a ICE car and even the prices for the ID7 are on par with the Passat if you have a comparable loaded in Germany.

Didn’t watched it full, I’m always interested in this kind of range tests, it would be nice if you can also include de tire size, outside temperature and add them for reference somewhere in a spread sheet available for us and for future reference. Not sure if you already do that.
the bmw touring without a larger battery is a big miss for the quintessential tourer. Too bad for the poor efficiency of the Zeekr, otherwise it could be a favorite. Should be interesting to review the revised improved version, when it will arrive.

Great test! But living in Sweden we all know that this is not a "real" winter test. You will never be able to the same range/consumption on "Sportlovet" with snowy roads, passengers and colder weather. But great to see how the cars compare together in the same conditions. If I could pick a car it would be Taycan without a doubt. If I am buying the car, the ID.7 that gives most value. Again, great test!
@Joli74 I was hoping for tougher conditions but hard to control the weather. 😊 But as you say, in -10°C and heavy snow, the only that possible could make would be the Porsche.

I am biased, I own a BMW i5 myself (Sedan, though). I was considering both the Zeekr and the NIO, too - but the BMW still has had the best package. It feels like the “most car” overall.

It was running on bigger rims than standard. But I guess the efficiency is not really top notch. Maybe that's not the priority for Porsche, but rather being sporty and involving the driver.

Especially Cars with LFP Batterys may have a Disadvantage regarding Power to Weight ratio. As far i know the Zeekr 001 is using an LFP Battery Powered System, which i would prefer regarding Longevity. The higher Weight could explain a part of the higher Fuel-Consumption. Range, overall Storage Space, Material Quality and Value echoed are the Main Criterias. That's a Interesting topic..weight is not as bg factor as we may think. Most important is air resistance and wheel size. The Zeekr does have a NMC pack, one of the main reasons for the high consumption is the big 22" wheels and wide 265 tires.

ID7 is perfect for an airport Taxi. Efficiency and charging = XPENG inside. I still prefer the ZEEKR these contests are not really about real life in real life you would just charge as needed. ZEEKR puts their charging port in a SUPERCHARGER friendly place and you don't go to TESLA to charge...how ironic😄 . In real life you avoid the drama by not stretching things and certainly not with family on board.
I am not a fan of TESLA anymore but I am a fan of CATL. The problem with all the cars you tested is NMC with large buffers. Once TESLA launches the Juniper MODEL Y with CATL's Shenxing and Shenxing Plus LFP batteries it is game over for NMC except for super expensive luxury cars that will use CATL's Qilin NMC battery.
Who’s buying a Tesla anymore with what has been happening in the last few months? I also live catl, truly one of the few innovative companies out of China in the ev space and worldwide but they are not sustainable in their supply chain. What’s the point of buying an ev with their batteries then? Any Chinese brand. And as European I first need to choose European made by European made union jobs evs which are superiors to Chinese evs. I’m still to see a Chinese car sold in Europe that is superior to an European car.

No issues when I tested nios earlier. It was the slushy roads covering the sensors. Guess Tesla vision would do the same
