This video saved me honestly. After watching this video (4 days after my C-section) , I took my BP and it was 170/110! I wasn't having any symptoms of pre e but I'm so glad I took my BP when I did. Ended up going to the hospital and getting started on magnesium before any symptoms occurred. This video helped me to catch it early which I will be forever grateful for. Thank you!!
I'm just now seeing this comment and let me just say first, I'm glad you are okay. I know that was such a scary thing 🥹❤️. But also I wanted you to know you just encouraged me to get back to creating videos. Thank you
To recover from C tips : Compression belt use after a week or two, socks, undies.. step stool.. disposable diapers, pads.. loose clothing.. slide slippers, bp monitor chk daily, small pillow to keep on stomach tight when u sneeze cough laugh walk, bobby pillow to take pressure off, let ppl help you..
14 days postpartum. My wife was in labor for 27 hours and 1cm dilated. She eventually got the epidural and dilated to 3cm. The baby head was not descending and was sunny side up. After her water broke, there was less time left to wait for his head to come down. Doctor came in and suggested she get a c-section. It was the safest option for mom and baby. The cord was wrapped around his neck. Her recovery has been challenging but is getting better everyday.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I am a midwife and looking for a straightforward resource for my clients who have that change of plans. I've watched hours of videos really just looking for the "what to expect" and "what should I have on hand" in the postpartum period when you've had a cesarean and this is the ONLY video that fully fit the bill.
I had an emergency c-section last week with my second baby and I wish I would have known all of this beforehand. I should have done the research just in case but I didn't. I had to go buy a bunch of stuff the day we left the hospital. Not fun at all but i got through it. My damn feet and legs are the most annoying. I can't do sh**. Because they are swollen. I'm currently sleeping on our sofa that reclines. Please Please research c sections just in case it needs to happen. The hospital had no time to go over anything with us and scrambling after a major surgery no one wants to be out shopping. Great video lady.
I had a C section 14 days ago my first 7 days was not easy but l'm okay now l can cough and poop without any pain l think my body reacted absolutely different. I have delivered 5 children through virginal so my 6th child doctors sayed its too risky since l'm now 40 years old and gestational. So it was not my choice at all this time.but l thank God because my baby and l are okay.
This has been so comforting to me as I'm going to be a first time mom at 42...it's scary but I am considering to do plan a c section. I wish you can do a video on the REAL nitty gritty of how to really apply safe self care for the wound, when and how to bath, pooping etc , I know it sounds gross but I've heard horror stories. Hold my hand lol
Just had an emergency c-section at 44. The wound heals fine. The anesthesia pits your intestines to sleep so the poop is awful. You WILL need help the first two weeks. First few days I couldn’t get up to pick up my baby.
Stool softners are going to be ur best friend. Wound heals fine. May feel sharp lighting kind of pain every now and then after as i did for up for a year after but like 6 times a year kinda thing nothing majorly bad
39 just had 1st baby. Elected c section via ga. Everyone advised don't. Said I wouldn't bond with baby etc. Best decision ever. 8 days later and I'm moving about and getting on. It's painful yes but manageable with paracetamol and ibropfen. I love my daughter and the op was worth the safety it brought me and her. V birth hold much higher risk for older first time mum. Also I've had no pain or issue with bowel movements. I have no bladder control issues either. And obviously I'm completely undamaged vaginally
Great recommendations especially compression and BP recs. Most people on UA-cam don't mention these things, as a doctor, I appreciate that you mentioned this because it could be life saving!
Thank you for acknowledging hypertension after birth . Most women unless you are aware already of preeclampsia or eclampsia do not know anything about it . To come across your video of just a general what you need after csection video and see and hear you talk about this is AMAZING!! I experienced this first handed after my 5th child and your right that BP monitor and my quick action going to hospital saved my life!!! More women should be made aware of this not to scare them but educate them. Great job 👏 on adding this in !!
I am going in for my fourth C-section in three months. I looked for a video like this, just as a good recap for myself. I 100% agree with everything you listed! I'm also really glad to see the belly binder that you bought off of Amazon. It's the exact one that I was looking into purchasing this time around, so I'm glad to hear that you like it!! One more thing that is a staple item in my recoveries (and I'm sure this isn't for everyone) but, after a C-section, I always tend to either be really nauseous, or get car sick super easily. I carry around pre-wrapped rubbing alcohol wipes everywhere with me! ~If you sniff them, they completely take the nauseous feeling away~ 💕 Great video!!
My hubby always tells me to do this. It only works & last as long for me the time it takes for me to inhale. & im not trying to inhale that stuff that much
This is such an important video and we don't see nearly enough of them. I had an unplanned C-section after 40+5 of pregnancy and 40 hours of labor. Having a repeat C-section in a few weeks. The other thing you need the stool for is feeding baby whether nursing or bottle feeding. Keep your legs supported and maintain good posture.
I’m trying to plan and be more prepared for what will be my second c section. This was the most helpful video on postpartum c section thank you! Knowing how uncomfortable the first one was I’m nervous for this next one 😬
I was the same, I've just had my second csection (my first one was 7 years ago) and I had one 3 weeks ago. I was so unprepared for my second csection and I wish I had planned it better 😭 although 5 days afterwards I was almost back to myself so recovery is quick xx
This video is eading my mind so much. I'm pregnant with my 2nd and my docs are thinking a C section due to bleeding risk that came with me having cancer previously and I was in panic trying to find a sister's story and recovery products...I'm shaking in my boots but thank you so much for this
Thank you for making this video!! I had an emergency C-section with my son and had no idea what to expect and how to recover. I’m having my second c-section in July and your video has given me so much more confidence about my recovery!!
In November I'm having my second csection, I'm actually excited I was perfectly ok with having another as I nearly died having my first before I had my csection. I feel calmer knowing I'm having a set date to go and I'll get to see my baby then I won't have to wait to go into labor!
I’m one week postpartum c section and this video was very helpful. Thank you mama❤️ I’m new to UA-cam & this video encouraged me to get up. THANK YOU 💞
Thanks for sharing! I am 33 weeks pregnant, baby has been breech almost my entire pregnancy. OB said I would likely need a C-section. I’m trying to prepare myself, this video was very helpful! 🥰
I am 11 days postpartum from my 2nd csection and this one was way more painful and took a more serious toll on me and my labor was similar to yours blood pressure and all never had it throughout my pregnancy or in my life it’s been a lot emotionally I almost didn’t make it I hemorrhaged so bad thank u for this video
Just arrived home after an emergency c section, similar story as yours. Thank you for this video now I know where to start from. Very useful information.
Getting in and out of bed is never explained. Sweet baby Jesus. I pee'd in bed with my first coz I couldn't get out. My hubby just put a disposable pad and I did my business. He cleaned me up after. Nurse hubby is a plus.
This video was so helpful. I am pregnant with my third child and will have my third csection. It’s been 10 years and I am rusty. This was so comforting. Thank you
This video is 👌🏾 I just had a c/section and everything on here is a definite must-have. The recovery is so painful and it takes long. Any little thing helps.
Post partum high blood pressure is real. My bp was as high as 160/110 the afternoon i got home. Thankfully I was able to see my primary doctor the next day and she added medicine for it to go down, I was so scared but three weeks post partum I’m feeling ok about it because it’s controlled.
Thank you for this video! I had an emergency section and didn’t have much time to figure out how to prepare for recovery so now I can get what I need! ♥️
Thank you! Great video very informative. 😊 my last pregnancy 11 years ago I was very swollen before and then after c section I went back to normal swelling left. This time around I’m 35 weeks and swollen badly can’t even wear shoes had to go get slippers.. 🙄 I’m miserable! I hope swelling leaves right after c section again! 🙏🏻
This was literally my exact same birth experience for my first daughter 😫😭 Great video, my second baby was born via vbac & I got a 4th degree tear so for my third I'm being recommended to have a scheduled c section. The tear was so much worse then the c section so I may do the scheduled c section 🥺😭
Thank you love the video. I would suggest ice packs. Helps a lot with the pain and inflammation. Makes a world of difference. Also get your stool softeners when you pick up your meds from the pharmacy.
I got that c section compression garment and have been worried about using it.... my 2nd c section in 3 days and starting to get a bit nervous.. these videos help a lot.
Super helpful!!! I'm pregnant with my first and have placenta previa so I'll be having a scheduled C-section at about 37 weeks. I've been curious about certain recovery items you talked about, like underwear, diapers, compression clothing, but didn't really know what kinds to get. Thank you for sharing this!!!
Great advice. I had my second C-section 7 days ago and found your video and decided to see if there was anything different I could try. I’d found a lot of videos on what to expect but not as many on how to recover and what products help. Thanks so much. You’ve given me some ideas of new things to try since recovery from a C-section seems to be way different from vaginal delivery. Ive only had C-sections so I don’t have anything to compare it to but it seems that most people that haven’t experienced it, do not understand how major it is. Thanks again!
Thank you for mentioning the bp monitor! I had postpartum preeclampsia starting at one week postpartum with baby number 6. I never had it with any of the other pregnancies or postpartum. It can be scary and there is really not enough info out there about postpartum preeclampsia. I didn't even know it existed until i went through it myself!
Your video was THE MOST HELPFUL must have EVER. I have seen a few and they just ramble in about things and don’t really explain why. But you’re very clear, to the point and all the products sound like true must have’s. Thank you!
This is a very good video… where was the video when I had my first C-Section? I do recommend this video, she is definitely not lying about any products that you may need. You definitely need all products from recovering from a C-Section in order to heal properly and remain comfortable as possible. I’m definitely prepared for my second C-section but not ready for the process.
damn, I had a reaction to the epidural too, except mine was an emergency C-section and I was in labor for 60 hours when I gave in and got the epidural. it made my blood pressure go down to 50/30, and the medication they gave me to counter it barely did anything, and at the same time my baby's heart rate was in the 50s at that time, so they went crazy trying to get him out. thanks for this.
I needed this 3 months ago. Lol. You were spot on. Some items you mentioned I didn’t think to get. Very helpful. People like myself need content like this. #1stTimeMom Thank you❤️
Really wishI knew this for my first c.section. It’s really all you need to be prepared for and don’t get told prior. Possible 2nd c.section on the way and I sure will be prepared this time. Cant thank you enough for this video🤎 Love from 🇬🇧
I'm on quarantine right after my csection. A week in hospital and in quarantine facility from my 8 days to 21 days. We're on our own. Been washing my clothes and lifting bags and water to survive here. Hope it won't affect my incision.
Thank you, this is the video I needed! Really appreciate the specific recommendations, tips and reasons for every item. Also great tip about the BP monitor, I hadn't heard about postpartum high blood pressure.
My biggest concern is the walking to recover. I totally understand the need to do it, but I'm primarily in a wheelchair as I pass out from heart issues with "POTS." I have a walker I could use, but it's not stability that's the problem it's my brain and legs just turning off from lack of proper blood flow, sometimes within the first minute sometimes up to five minutes of standing. 😥 I plan on asking for help with a PT at the hospital but I don't think any will come to my house to help me after.
Thank you for this video. It has helped tremendously.. I'm 39 and just had my 1 St child. I'm a week post op, I ended up having an emergency c section due to low blood pressure with myself and son. But this information is very helpful thank you.
Thank you so much you are a blessing I love how you help us women prepare I am scheduled in 2 weeks to have my baby girl and I am a mother of 9 and all have been vaginally except this time I am supposed to have a c section for the first time and I am so scared .the baby has been a delicate pregnancy this time my first ever she is premature and breech.so they are bringing me in at 36 weeks she is growing good but just gonna be tiny my others were all full term 6 and 7 lbs she is only 3 lbs now .so I am so grateful you have helped me because I am so new to c section.i will get ready thank you and please say a prayer for me and baby to make it out of surgery.thank you.
Thank you for that video. It was really helpful. It looks like I am having a C section in 2 weeks and your video helped me understand what to expect post op.
When I had my daughter 4 years ago I was put in the compression binder and I literally never took it off besides to sleep and shower. I felt like I was going to fall apart if I didn't wear it! I'm due in april and praying I can wear it again but i also ordered one from amazon, in Hopes that it will not roll up when I sit down or anything
I have an abdominal hernia and have been using a binder for almost 3 months now. My husband has to put it on for me when I'm laying down because I can't do it myself, but last night he had a kidney stone attack and I can't be sure he'll be well enough to help me with it today. I have been thinking about this for a while...what happens if he's not around in the future to help me with it? I have to lose weight before I can get the surgery and as of last November, Kaiser said they are booking surgeries 12 weeks out. I can't imagine how much longer the wait time is with Omicron surging! I was hoping this video could give me an idea on how to get it on, but it skips over the actual connecting it part. When she pulls the sides towards each other, it "flips up" on the top and bottom edges, then the video fades and it's magically together. I was disappointed to see it didn't address how to resolve this. If anyone can help me understand how to do it myself, I'd be very grateful.
I wish I got to watch this before I went through my c-section. My mind was so set on birthing vaginally and naturally that I didn’t even look the other way and when all else failed and the doctors came in and said that’s the last option I was scared out of my mind but one week past and no more pain it wasn’t as bad as I remember thankfully
Thank you for the video; actually my hospital told me not to wear any compression on my belly and let it dry and airy :( i'm quite worried how my recovery will be
I was the same I wasnt dilating and my body was pushing on it's own so spent hours trying to fight it, they gave me so many pain kills and non even worked for me not even the epidural 🤷♀️really weird, endedup with an emergency c because I was passing out and throwing up, wish I had seen this when I had just had him because I could walk for over a week I felt so sick because it felt like everything would fall out everytime I stood up 😅
Thank you so so much for this video! I am a ftm, first pregnancy 27 weeks tomorrow and my daughter has significant micrognathia from a chromosome deletion she has and depending on how she is swallowing towards the end of my pregnancy and her size as she is measuring small, they may need to do a c-section so I am trying to prepare for either vaginal or c-section delivery (I personally feel like every pregnant woman should prepare for either as you just never know what will happen until your in it). Thank you again! super helpful
I thought this band was in progress like over a few weeks. So the extra piece you put at the bottom they said to wear after two weeks? Is this true? Also girl those diapers are the best! Even after my c section I still wore them when I had my period at night they were so much easier than wearing a pad
im so glad to find you, my daugther in law , due in august, she is worry the dr told her may do c-Section , due she is diabete. and this info. help me if case. thank you very much.

Another tip:
When your about to stand up, Breathe in deep, and as you stand up breathe out slow!
It helps!!!
Hey, I just had my baby 4 days via c-section. Did they all feel different?
@@MegaKittyKat27 no they don't. I jst had my 3rd boy as my 3rd csection nd it's different from my other 2csection. Its extremely painful
In 4 weeks???
Please how many years different can one have another C- section ??

This was very good. I'm having my first and I'm doing an elective c section and this was so helpful
I needed this 3 months ago. Lol. You were spot on. Some items you mentioned I didn’t think to get. Very helpful. People like myself need content like this. #1stTimeMom Thank you❤️
Thank you almost a month till my surgery needed this . This pregnancy has me forgetting everything thank you
Yes!! Bp monitor is so important
Thank you... need a crush course. This will not be my first but my 1st twins so just been a while... Thank you again...
Really wishI knew this for my first c.section.
It’s really all you need to be prepared for and don’t get told prior.
Possible 2nd c.section on the way and I sure will be prepared this time. Cant thank you enough for this video🤎
Love from 🇬🇧
Thank you for this! This helped with my anxiety for my first baby and first c-section
I'm on quarantine right after my csection. A week in hospital and in quarantine facility from my 8 days to 21 days. We're on our own. Been washing my clothes and lifting bags and water to survive here. Hope it won't affect my incision.
The incision is on line or above
I’m getting ready for a c section soon and is my first baby !! This video helped out soooooo much thank you 💖💖🤞🏻🤞🏻
Im having a scheduled c section in 3 weeks due to my baby being breech and unlikely to turn. Thanks for the helpful recommendations.
All the best. Same situation here - 3 weeks time as well.
Thank you, this is the video I needed! Really appreciate the specific recommendations, tips and reasons for every item.
Also great tip about the BP monitor, I hadn't heard about postpartum high blood pressure.
You’re an angel! Thank you for posting this!
The video I’ve been looking for, thank you!!
Thankyou for sharing this. I had an emergency c-section & it really scared me so bad.. I was put to sleep.

Hey, how did it go? Have you had your c section?
How did it go? Hope you and the baby made it!
Thanks for the video :)
My c section is scheduled in 5 days and I'll look into buying the products you recommended.
Thank you I just had a baby July 25th so I’ve been trying to figure out what things to get even though I know somebody I know gave me very useful tips
Thank you for that video. It was really helpful. It looks like I am having a C section in 2 weeks and your video helped me understand what to expect post op.
Thank you for this video! I’m have my c-section In three weeks! So glad I found this video in preparation for my procedure. Thanks girl 👍
Going in for my 4th and final C-section and you got everything right on the nail.
How long does it take until you fully recover??
Same thing happened to me. Thank you for sharing
This is my third I’m having in November and this video was very helpful because it’s been a while.
About to have my 3rd c section in 2 mths. I agree with every thing you mentioned!!!!
Thanks for making this video it was very helpful. I also had to have a C-section for the same reason as you.
At how many weeks after c section must you wear compression garments
Adding all these to my cart now! Pregnant with twins
thank you for showing how to use some of the products, too - super helpful!
Lol first time watching you and I already love your Chanel! Thank you for all this information!!❤️
Great video! Thanks for sharing 💕
I'm having my c section 7/29/21 🥰 and this is helping me get everything ready for it ❤️❤️
If you have a flap of skin over your c section scar, you can use that pad with absorbent side towards incision to keep it dry
Such a helpful and amazing video!💖
Where have you been for the past 1year? Please come back.🥺
Thank you for the video; actually my hospital told me not to wear any compression on my belly and let it dry and airy :( i'm quite worried how my recovery will be
I never used a diaper. This may be a silly question but did you put a pad in the diaper or was the diaper absorbent enough?
Thank you for sharing ❤
