Love the name you chose!
That's what I'm naming my son. Love the name
@@frogosplayer1,
Great Video! We look forward to showing what will be in ours ❤️ #ThePhillipsFamilyy
After two miscarriages in a row we are now expecting our first baby girl 💕 and thank you for the tips!
Christina & Josue congratulations!!
Congratulations
Congratulations 🎉
Congratulations hun!!! Very happy for you you’re going to do great just live in the moment and don’t stress
Congrats!! Keep us updated if ya would! 😊
39 weeks in 5 days. I should probably pack my bag.
Yesss! What are you waiting for?
I'm 38 weeks today and I've been putting it off. I hate packing and even on long vacations, I have always packed a day or 2 in advance. I know I shouldn't have that mentality for baby but old habits die hard!
I also hate packing! Unpacking is probably worse. The unfortunate thing is that I can’t really plan when baby is coming or else I probably would procrastinate too 😅
Mood 😂. This will probably be me at 39 weeks.
Hope everything went well ;)
Lauren Gould hi! Have you had your baby yet?
I'm black, so I'll bring my own lotion. Most complimentary lotions aren't made for dark skin
Was looking for this comment
Definitely bringing my own lotion/shea butter lol
😂😂😂😂 I had the same thought
Lol
What’s the difference? I really didn’t know people with dark skin need different lotion
For moms that want to nurse: If the hospital tells you that you need to supplement be sure to ask for a pump and pump every time baby eats. Breastmilk is supply and demand. The more you nurse the more milk you will make. Also keep in mind baby's tummy is very small (size of a single Cherry 1-1.4 teaspoons; at a week babies tummy is the size of a apricot 1-4 oz) at birth and the first few days. You will give colostrum until your milk comes in.
“ACTUALLY NEED” was a stretch.
Hello pregnant mamas! Have any of you guys packed your hospital bag yet?
Let me know the one thing you don’t want to forget!
Jenny Le I just helped deliver a kitten from the clinic🥰 white cute kitten😍
Good question..i cant forget anything
My phone charger. My brush for my long hair. My moisturizer for my very dry skin. My own toothpaste because I can not stand the hospital toothpaste.
The bag 😂😂😂
I always use olive oil on baby to help wipe away those first poops. It also works for cracked nipples when nursing! It has been a staple since baby #3, when my midwife told me about it! I have recommended it since!
Having my first baby and found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant😭 I know it’s a little early to be watching a what to pack for the hospital but I wanna be ready for everything
Asianna Le it’s okay! I’m almost 37 weeks and I was watching these at 5 weeks too! It’s so interesting and fun to watch!
I'm 35 weeks, u really dont need all the extra hygiene stuff
Toothpaste/toothbrush
Brush
Deodorant
Your soaps and face wash, lotion
Hair ties
Robe, slippers, any electronic stuff, a nightgown If you feel more comfortable sleeping in ur own clothes and an outfit for you and baby to go home in
That's really all you need and of course post partum stuff at home hospital supplies everything else post partum u need
@@heardemma I always liked watching birthing videos idk why they always make me cry
chase noel they make me cry too 😭😭
I'm currently 38 weeks with my second and honestly, the only things you really, truly NEED is some comfy jammies, hygiene bag, phone charger, and a going home outfit for you and baby. The hospital provides legit EVERYTHING for day to day care while you are there. But, I personally like to have makeup and a comfy but cute outfit as well as one or two cute outfits for baby because pictures will be taken and I don't want to look like a hot mess in the first pictures I'll have with my baby.
You can totally buy covers for the Boppy pillow! They have cute patterns or solids in both cotton and minky soft fabrics! ☺️
Lol “what you actually need” *brings lashes, face mask, slippers, pillow.. 💚
brenda butkiewicus 😹😹😹
to be fair she did say what SHE was bringing and that most of those items weren't necessary lol
Honestly, I'd be bringing at least two pillows, some lipstick, and 30lbs of anxiety 😂😬
it just seems full on ridiculous . some of these vids make me feel like they think its some sort of spa vacation lol like yeah im damn sure lashes are the most important thing during labor geeeeez.. let's just stay realistic shall we.. xD
@@weebabee Some of us rather wear lashes during labor, and some of us rather not. It's personal preference.
Sista is gonna be putting individual lashes on whilst in labor 😂 I’m done
I'll be 30 weeks pregnant on Saturday with my first baby, my baby girl! And I'll probably pack my bag for labour here soon just so I'm prepared in case baby girl wants to come early. I'm so excited for my daughter to be here, congratulations to all the mommas out there!
I still have a bit to go before packing my bag but I LOVE watching these types of videos because I was getting anxious hoping I’d pack everything I’d need but didn’t want to over pack. Thank you! ☺️
40 weeks & 2 days. With my first baby, I needed this even though I feel like this baby is never coming out😂 super helpful
This was actually really helpful. I'm having my 5th kid and it seems like I have forgotten everything lol it never gets old watching what's in my hospital bag. LoL
I’m on my 4th lol 😂 my kids are spaced out oldest is 17 I can’t remember did I need what I packed etc. So I’m reviewing also 💕
I’m 31 weeks and have been obsessed watching these to figure out what I need. This was super helpful and realistic! 💓 thank you!
Johaxo Beauty I’m 31 weeks too!
Goodnight Moon almost there! 🤰🏽
I’m 30 and 4 days 😂 I’m gonna wait until last minute I guess
Johaxo Beauty I know! Can’t wait 💕
Bree10k lol I still haven’t 🤦🏽♀️
This is so helpful! Can’t believe you’re almost having a second baby!
Yay I’m glad you found it useful 😊
She already have a baby since few days :)
At our hospital every new mom goes home with an electric breast pump.
That’s amazing! ❤️
Ladies they are almost always free through insurance!! Super good to know, through my first three I never needed one, we'll see with this one.
Amazing
That so amazing 😍
@@mrs.hatfield1451 You are to register with your insurance, not the hospital, the one the hospital gives you is not free. I got mine sent to me after I called and registered, before we went to the hospital.
You should do a video talking about what family medicine residency is like. Like hours, days off, and lifestyle.
I have lots of vlogs on my channel showing that! It’s going to differ based on rotation
honestly i'm just going to wing it. my husband/mom can drive home and get me stuff if i need it lol. 36w4d now
So how did that go?
I love this! I love that even though you work in that arena you're not super minimal and making me feel guilty! I used EVERYTHING I bought besides the change literally and I am an overpacked
35 weeks💗 with my first. The only thing I don't want to forget is my extension cord😹 People have told me that the plugs are in weird places. Thanks for the tips. I literally have everything except makeup.
Congratulations! You’re almost there!
HeadFullOf Curls I know a lot of them aelre behind the couch
@@maliagreen1115 That's like, the most bizarre placement for outlets EVER
I'm an antepartum nurse and still binge watching all your baby tip videos cause they're so interesting😂👍 glad I came across your channel! New sub!
Im 37 weeks now going in for a csection on the 5th. This is helpful.
Best of luck with everything. You are an awesome mama!
Great info. Thank you! I'm an adoptive mom and was curious what to bring to the hospital my baby's first needs. Congrats on your baby 😊.
Finally a hospital bag video with the necessities!!!
Thank you so much for this update video AND your original video.
34 weeks and starting to plan out my mommy bag. Thank you for this info! ❤️❤️
I totally didn’t think of bringing a towel! Thank you!
I’m 35 weeks and 4 days and I have my bag packed for the most part. I packed my own hospital gown from Gownies and brought My Brest Friend pillow (comparable to the boppy pillow but much more sturdier to prop baby on for breastfeeding!) We basically packed the same exact same things. I have a last minute pack list that my husband will throw in his bag right before we leave our house!
Awwww thank you definitely needed this video!!
Best hospital bag video! Thank you!
This is so exciting!! Can’t wait for the baby to be here :) good luck Jenny! I’m praying for a safe delivery ♥️
Baby is here! He came early 👶🏻❤️
Jenny Le omg! Congratulations!! Post a video of him soon so we can meet the little angel ♥️
This was very useful and it’s amazing the amount your hospital gives you but it’s worth it to note not all hospitals give you all this, I know in England they don’t
Im having my first baby in 7 weeks and I still dont have mine and baby bag ready dont know what to really pack 😞
Lucymar Dominguez I’m having mines today she’s coming 3 days early
You don't really need anything a lot will be given to you but bring a few things for your comfort like a rob big pads or adult dipars take home clothes for you an baby phone an charger. Those are the big things also flip flops for shower
Mshellokitty White Thank U so much ❤️
I’m having baby #2 in 7 weeks and I feel like I don’t know what to bring either 🙃🙃
I have my baby's. I don't have mine and I'm 37 weeks tomorrow. I feel this
A face mask?! Lol good luck with finding the time for that. 😂😂
Thank you ashley.
3rd baby here hahaha it does get boring at the hospital especially if they wont let u leave your room shit bring board games or book too. Believe me it gets boring lol
Been on keto before and during pregnancy. It's worked wonders. Such a great video bringing the same things. I also am packing a back massager :)
This is seriously getting me so excited to deliver I mean the fact that they have everything lmao
Nice tips. I'm 18w3d today and already watching what to pack. Lol. I've already bought baby's stuff due to the coronavirus pandemic scare and we can't predict what the outcome will be like. I'm also a doctor and I'm super excited 'cos this is my first pregnancy. I'm a new subscriber. Will definitely continue watching your videos since you have the professional experience too.
Your ok i packed at 25 weeks. Its good to be prepared💜💜💜💜
this was super informative!!! Thank you! Hope all is going well
You look so good! And super curious about how you do your lashes? I will be delivery in Feb and I am trying to figure out a solution for my short lashes!!
This was so so helpful !! ❤️❤️
You are So Awesome. I Loved the video and you helped me a lot!! ❤❤
I'm actually right where you were when you posted this video (almost 38 weeks), and I too have GD and have been making a list of what I want to eat as soon as this kid is born. Counting the days!!
Me and my hubby are currently trying good tips 👍
I’m 35 weeks and so clueless what to pack lol thank you so much ❤️❤️
I'm pretty much bringing most of what you mentioned. Didnt think about my own pillow so thanks for that. But I will also be including a birthing ball and mask to sleep.
Dee Hawkins check with your hospital they might have a ball.
American hospital provided so much. The Australian one don't provided anything at all. You even need to bring your own tissue. It sucks so much and doesn't matter if your public or private.
Wow I never knew that about other countries. Thanks for sharing.
I'm Australian and a nurse. I don't know what hospital you're talking about but the ones that I have worked at (both public and private) supply all of what Jenny is getting in America.
Yes a country in the Caribbean name st.vincent and the Grenadines. The hospitals here dont provide anything either u have to walk with everything including Pampers and tissues.
Everything they have they charge you for. So be aware. Like the nipple cream and pump parts...not free.
I’m so sorry! 😩
I Enjoyed this video! I'm currently pregnant with our first child (due in June). I'm currently packing my hospital bag . I will add shower slippers Thank you for sharing !
They never even mentioned a gown when I had my first- I didn't even think about it, I just gave birth in the dress I showed up in. It did go fast though, so maybe they just weren't expecting I needed it yet 🤷
With my second due next month, I'm bringing a robe, but wonder if it'll get used before hand this time either. They say the second comes faster..
We are having our 6th baby in 3 weeks....I've been to several different hospitals...and a midwifery...and there are sooooo many things here I wouldn't say "you really need" I love the video though...how long is the stay @ this hospital I wondee
Of course I found it really helpful.thank u so much
Finally someone who actually knows what to take. 😁
Yup. Eyelashes and a face mask. Super helpful.
Question for you!
I just got diagnosed with gestatational diabeties this is my 3rd pregnancy and first time failing the one hour and 3 hour. I know with both of your pregnancies u mentioned u had gd. Is there a way u can make a video on what u can and should not eat with gd ? Im 25 weeks and 3 days pregnant . i see specialist in 2 weeks for i believe is a doc consult to see dietician. :) hope ur pregnancy is going well!
By now you’re basically done but keep away from sugar, and excess carbs, like bread, tortilla, etc. incorporate a walk or some yoga or some type of exercise to help keep your sugars low and prevent you from gaining excessive amounts of weight which is very common in GD pregnancy.
Hey just curious if you’ll be washing all the any stuff first .. the clothes
I got the same robe and jammies and I was really excited about them. They’re so soft and I had used the same type of thing from target when I had my first child. However the top button fell off but the shirt the first time I wore it so I’m disappointed with that. I gotta sew it back on before I pack it and hope they stay on.
I loved the realization that you could eat those cluster snacks. I have GD too so I'm having my sis pick me up those ;p
I am so over packed compared to you 😂. I'm due July 30th and this will be my second baby. In my head I know I don't need everything I have in my bag, but I just can't seem to downsize enough. I know from experience no matter what my robe and my own pillow are a must bring!
Right lol i feel like i have to make a check list
Thank u! Very practical stuff.
I'll also add long charger for phone. Thanks for reminder of shower shoes and headphones
36 weeks. Love this video. Thank you!
Thanks for this informative video! I didn’t want to pack a lot of things that I actually won’t need so thank you ☺️
I'm 25week pregnant and have my hospital bag half ready , thank for the tips
Thank you!!! Very helpful!!
There are covers for your boppy pillow at Walmart. Pretty cheap. I bought one that was fuzzy and pink for my daughter. Then you can just take it off and throw it in the wash. Super convenient! Congratulations, and good luck. I hope you have a fast, and safe delivery! ❤
I think last time I checked (which is a long time ago) I think the covers are still $20-30
@@drjennale There are some that are cheaper. I bought one for $10. I liked that it was simple, and easy to keep clean. Those babies sure tend to throw up a lot. Lol But congratulations on baby London! Can wait to see pictures! 😊
That hospital lotion is the best!!! I love it and always take one with me when I leave the hospital lol
Thank you SOO MUCH Jenny Le as I've pretty much packed my hospital bag I've only got a few bits and prices I can't pack untill my water breaks but I completely forgot about the slippers as I hate the idea of having a shower in a public place without slippers exspecially in a hospital as you don't know what someone had who was in their before you like if they had foot fungus
First time momma this helps alot
39 weeks Bag has been packed since I was 20 weeks along 😶baby three will be here any day now so wanted to be ready also I suggest bringing a reusable bag as well for any items you plan on bringing extra stuff home from your L&D room
My hospital will give you extra bags of stuff if you just ask like nipples, diapers, wipes, etc!
Thanks for this video! I'm 35 weeks and I haven't packed a single thing lol
You still have some time hopefully. I remember feeling really impatient for baby just to come out already after packing my hospital bag.
Me too lol
Misssion healthylife same here 😂
ME TOO loo
I am pregnant with baby 4. My 2 and 3 baby I didn’t pack my bag until I thought I was in labor. I bring very little to the hospital.
This was super helpful thank you!!
Yay! Glad you found it helpful
I’m not even a mom nor no where near pregnant but idk how I came across this video lol but great tips! 🙌🏼 thank you for the future
Well welcome to the channel anyways! 😊
I have my daughters packed (the baby I'm expecting ❤) but not mine. I'm procrastinating so hard. 37 weeks tomorrow. As I'm watching this, my daughter started moving up towards my phone as if she agrees lol
LOL I bought the same robe from target for my delivery. I thought it was cute with the little tassels. I'm going on 34 weeks this week. Preg with my daughter 2nd child. But I'm still scared 😊😆
Smart x100. Love your bag, just what you need
Beautiful mom, I am 37 weeks and expecting my lil miss. I got my bag packed but dont have that pillow and I really need it.
I actually love the face mask idea. Would have never thought of it. This is my 5th child sonim pretty familiar with what I need but am terrible at comfort and pleasures for myself so really, thank you for the tip. My last delivery I waited too long to pack my bag and when I went to my appointment, wasnt expecting the doctor to send me over right away for my c section so I was relying on my husband. Well, he didnt follow my list so I was in the hospital for 3 days in only a nursing tank top and undies. Super embarrassing when I had visitors and one time my doctor walked in. Hes very handsome and i was puffy all over like a marshmallow because of fluid distribution so he saw me walking around with the baby in nothing but my tank top and undies. Learn from me, be prepared. Husband gets overwhelmed too and loses his head. LOL!!!
Oh my gosh! 😬😂 Hopefully the doctor was super understanding!
Here in Kenya life is totally different... The hospital gives you nothing...you only get services and food
Same in Belize
Ni kenya nurses even yell at u
@@jennywinter3025 same in Jamaica down to sheets we have to bring
Same in Namibia 😂
Also in the Philippines.
Beautiful pregnant mom. 😍 I'm 31 weeks. We're having a boy. It's my third go round but you never get use to it. I can't wait to see his his face and kiss his little toes. 🤗
Congratulations! I agree, the anticipation is always exciting!
I totally liked this especially because if the lash comment!! I completely can relate lol 7months here!!😜
My mom made me Bobby covers! They’re the cutest too!
Great video loved your channel for a long time
Yay! Thank you for continuing to support this little growing family
They sell covers for the boppy pillow if you don’t like that pattern!
I did look into that! But it’s expensive! I guess I didn’t care that much that it’s hideous lol
@@drjennale its not ugly i think its cute
Hi Jenny, I have been looking for a car seat for my first baby, do you have any suggestion for a fair/good car seat? There are many price ranges and types, so I have a tough time to pick one. Thank you!
I am 39 weeks pregnant and 3 days. I have my hospital bag but it's 90% packed. I don't want to forget my phone or my phone charger. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
Any day now! Wishing you a smooth delivery and recovery
You can get different hoppy covers! I have a boy and girl and I just bought a different cover instead of buying a whole new pillow because they’re kind of expensive lol
Make up and lashes doesn’t seem like something we will actually use lol
No need make up at hospital .
We have the exact same robe and pjs from target... they are SUPER comfy, I wear them like everyday haha they are amazing!
I love Target!! I need to go back and get the pajama pants now that it’s getting colder
This was really helpful!!!
Yay! 😊
How did you find the Haaka alternative? I just saw these on Amazon and considering getting the set if they are decent
Thank you Doctor Jenny,
I just did a similar video today on my channel.
Quite an inspiration from your channel
currently 38 weeks and 5 days, already 2cm dilated, i didn’t know what to pack for me for the hospital and postpartum. my husband and i got everything ready for the baby but not for me. now i know what! thank you for the tips! :)
This video is very helpful I'm expecting my first child 2/2020 and not sure what to pack, but this video helped me a lot
Wildrea Hurd watch more videos like these. A lot of the stuff she packed is not necessary
You should get a butterfly sleep pillow. They are so comfortable
Thsnk u this was veru helpful...
I'm due with my second son on March 27 I think I brought too much stuff when I when went into labor with my first
Loved this video 💕
Awesome video!! So thorough. Thank you for sharing ❤️
I’ve had 3 children and I’ve never experienced my milk coming in while in the hospital. And if you do need to pump for some reason, they supply a pump as stated in the video. It’s not necessary to bring your own. You’re likely only going to have collustrum anyways. Which won’t be leaking like breast milk does.
