- LAST VIDEO UNTIL AFTER THE STRIKE! Canadian Pacific 8715, CP 9813, CP 8622, CP 9522 northbound at mile 73 of the Mactier subdivision in Craighurst pulling autorack and double stack intermodal cars (7,400 ft -- 360 axles). Canadian Pacific 9581, CP 9549, CP 9669 northbound at mile 73 of the Mactier subdivision in Craighurst pulling double stack intermodal cars. I was surprised to see a northbound train with the strike only hours away. It was fairly quiet out there this afternoon. This should be my last CP train video until the strike is over. NOTICE: The Teamsters Canada Rail Conference ( www.teamstersrail.ca ) represents all 4,800 of the conductors, yardmen, locomotive engineers and rail traffic controllers. The major issues are work rules, fatigue management, and Pension plan. On April 26, 2012 Teamsters announced that 95% of its members had voted to go on strike. On May 19, 2012 Teamsters issued a 72 hours strike notice that will take effect on May 23rd at 0:01. CP has completed the safe and structured shut down of freight operations on its Canadian network.

Me without sunglasses: I thought I saw Great Wall of China
Me with sunglass: Nvm, it's a train
These are massive freighters pulling over 80 cars
Nice shots Jason! The crossing gaurd is porbably killing himself there. lol
Oh CP 9581! I caught her leading a BNSF Provo Lincoln on the UP Moffat line once!
Goodness! How long is that second train?
En colombia el más largo dura 5 minutos pasado 😢
Great video, but why is there a strike and what is it about/for?
NOBODY GIF A LIKE??? NICE VIDEO!!! NICE CACHT
Rip to the cars waiting at the crossing.
Great video Jay too bad there on strike time to railfan CN
Jay buddy your thoughts on this strike!? I'm dying over here, I'm used to hearing my morning freights on the Hamilton Sub, 246 and 255 Lol. Also all quiet on the scanner, not a peep out of anyone on the CP channels.
I heard today Ottawa is considering a back-to-work bill which could bring back the workers sooner then later.....
Strikes are bad for everyone, the employee, the company & the public. Hope all is well. Thanks & cheers, J
una locomotora muy potente.

Been doing this so long I barely hear them anymore ... lol
4:35 what kind of horn was that
Sorry, I've never paid attention to that aspect of railfanning. Cheers, J
👌
You know how we solve all our problems? No more unions. No unions, no issues, just give the people what they want and let them be in control of managing their payments. Then they will see that there is only so much money in the budget and truly appreciate the opportunity they have to work for a railroad, and not some underpaid abusive job in a third world country.
