I can totally relate to seeing the amount of money in my own wallet and thinking “This is ridiculous!” 😂😂😂 I’m happy to see he’s looking well. You’re such a wonderful son, Dan. I hope you and Grandpa have a great day!
You are a great son well done he looks very well. I am waching from Ghana west Africa, l am looking after my Mother. I like this video l used to look the oldest man in wales UK. He was 108 years old. God blessed you Dan.
That is a blessing The main problem and point of heated arguments and stress for the caregiver is at meal times Once our elderly eats we feel at ease or else we feel guilty when we eat So this is for sure a blessing May Allah Guide him and always Keep him healthy and Give him a healthy appetite
You’re so good to him. My dad is 84 and moving in with me this month. He is doing great but who knows what the future holds. Thanks for sharing these videos. ❤️
Dad is a jewel. He questions the rest of the family in his endearing way. So kind, I will guess that the family household was chaotic when you were a young.
Mr. Ed is just the sweetest old man. Dan, you are blessed to still have your dad. Some days must be harder than others but your doing a great job. I look forward everyday to see how he's doing.
Grandpa comin in hott with the "BULLSHIT!" 😆 😆😆😆😆🩷 Dan, you've come a very long way on dealing with your dad❤ I love to see how VERY patient you are with him! Carry on 🩷🩷🩷😊🙏#welovedrgrangpa❤
Did he just say “its BS that I don’t drove” 😂😂😂 Grandpa is so funny. His smile and giggle shows he doesn’t believe you Dan. When you said “I have an account at your bank and he paused, I laughed so hard. I love your interactions 😂😂😂😂
You are so patient with your Dad Dan, and that means so much. I'm sure it's tough at times, but your Dad is never mean or upset about anything. He's doing great, getting around etc. When you have to talk louder than usual, it reminds me of my Dad. He lived till he was 96. The only thing wrong was, he was hard of hearing, and he was just "ready to go", as he put it. He missed my Mom so much. You're a good son Dan. That in itself means everything!
Grandpa Ed is the most sweetest soul and with all he goes through he manages to keep that smile going . He wishes he knew what is going on . To be 91 he’s a fighter and we love him. ❤
Mr. Ed: "You wanna go to your bank first (with his classic smile)?" In other words, we're spending your money for lunch, buddy, not mines!!! You've got to love him!!!!💓 😊
@@dsalnorcal1434 Dan, when he buys undergarments or anything you should always have the receipt with the date. As well as any money spent on food. Otherwise why would his money keep disappearing out of his wallet? Try to make sure he always has $50 in his wallet and receipts👵💰💰💰💰👀👀👀
To be honest, I love that he is often sceptical about the things you tell him about his life. To me, it shows a man who always takes responsibility for himself, and refuses to let other people take care of his problems. Of course, he is at a point in his life where other people must help take care of his problems, but in his mind, he is and always will be responsible for himself and will not allow anyone to carry his burdens. A man of honour through and through.
As much as I admire what Dan, Danielle and Mark are doing for Grandpa, they do get a respite and trust me it is a HUGE blessing. Most of caregivers don't have that and my respect for them has increased tenfolds.
I did one to one for 8 months non stop. Slept in the same room , even done washes , toileting everything . It is hard work and at the same time rewarding . Handing over to professional people is hard as well .
That's BS I don't drive any more, he is on a ROLL today!!! TY so much for these little details, and he's got enough going on up there to even suspect you of sharing the same bank. He's becoming a 'national treasure'!!!
I know first hand how hard it is to watch a parent suffer with dementia, but I just want you to know your doing a great job with your dad Dan. You have so much patience and understanding for what he is going through and handle with with such love and kindness. Grandpa Ed is definitely a sweet and caring person overall. Unfortunately skepticism is one of the downfalls and tough issues when dealing with dementia. It’s so hard to see someone you love suffer like that. But you guys are doing a terrific job with your dad. Enjoy each moment with him - even the frustrating ones cause you will miss that one day. Hugs to each of you!❤
Grandpa couldn't be any more sweetly endearing, even if he doubts that he really bought "undergarments" And lunch! ♥ His sweet smiles always *r0cK!!!* 🥰
Dan, this journey through memory loss and dementia is so challenging. It is such a blessing that up until now Ed has been so positive. It truly speaks volumes about his character, and who he has been as a human all his life. It is really endearing. As his memory fails, his brain continues it’s decline, he will not be able to make those connections that made Ed the Ed we have learned to love through your videos. To you, Ed, your family, Mark, to you all, prayers sent every day as you navigate this season with your dad. Much care 🌷🙏🏼🌷
@@carolpasscall5987 I’m so sorry Carol. We lived this journey a couple years ago with my mother-in-law. One thing to remember is that caregivers need caregivers. What our loved ones say and how they act is not who they are, and this is specially hard when we are used for them to be true to who they are. While they still have some of that spark, recording those memories makes a difference later on. With care 🌷
I wish I had videos of my father in law. I have some of my husband who had vascular dementia. It's really different than the kind Ed has and my father in law. My husband started with it at 65.
You’re soooo patient with him. It must be tough sometimes. I admire the way you are with him, it shows how much respect and love you have for him. He must have been a great dad in his day.❤️
Grandpa Ed is precious❤ I'm a caregiver for the elderly and have cared for many wonderful people with dementia, Dan you are a wonderful loving son and so patient with him. God bless you and your family and thank you for sharing these wonderful videos of Grandpa Ed ❤
I enjoy watching these videos. He's so lucky to have you all taking care of him at your home(s) instead of moving him into a nursing home as most people do. I have MUCH respect for you and all those who have decided to care for their family members at home! What treasure you ALL are!! 😍🏡❤️
I know it’s more to caring for him then just these convos smart of you to put it online. He’s helping me realize the hidden benefits of working hard daily, living under my means, quitting smoking and alcohol and building strong bonds with my family. Thanks again Dan
My dad used to say id took his hot water bottles , he was always making quirky inventions. One day i took him to the pub and and he crossed his legs and i saw red soles on his shoes .
