      Something that I noticed in your video that might make for a great topic is finding cover and concealment while reloading and clearing malfunctions. For me, that was what really stood out during his live run! When we train these drills everyone has a hard time remembering to find cover to reload or clear a malfunction....myself included! hahaha! @@frogmantactical

    Cool drill... I was surprised you went safety ON/OFF in between barrels. I would've assumed since you're "in the fight" that you'd simply leave it OFF as you're engaging and then flip it back ON when you reach the last barrel at the end of the drill. (Not criticism, just curious about the process, since I had an instructor teach me differently.) Keep up the good work 👍

    • @frogmantactical
      @frogmantactical  6 місяців тому +9

      It depends on the threat area. Plus even with a safety you still have to PID which gives you time to activate the safety when done right. 🙏

      It doesn’t take any additional time to take the rifle off SAFE as you’re coming up into your sights.
      Keeping the weapon on FIRE while moving through a structure or conducting CQB has always been a safety violation at every place I’ve worked.

    Ok i was watching and i had to clock these 2 skills and i have to say frogman tactic came in 3rd place. The guy he is training did very well on his aim and movement through each barrel but were he got slowed down is when frogman gave him his own advice. So i clocked frogman 1st round at 20.47sec/6.09 sec/50.16 sec and the guy he was training got 18.01sec/16.39sec/19.12sec/42.53sec so 42.53 sec is not bad but i did like his movement around the barrel. Now as of me my same training style frogman teaches i got 1.04sec on the clock.so good job guys and keep practicing to get better

      As long as you are going to take it serious and practice, absolutely. If not then no. Your best option is to get into the fight as fast as possible over trying to get into the sights.
      I didn’t do it here because he’s a new shooter learning. It’s too much and can be dangerous for people to push so much on someone at once.

    Why would you only stay 6 to 8 inches off the "barrel"

    • @frogmantactical
      @frogmantactical  6 місяців тому +5

      6”-10” is ideal for response time. Meaning by the time someone comes around the corner, I don’t have to track them and by the time I have ID them they are still in my sights.

    • @joshwilson3020
      @joshwilson3020 6 місяців тому

    Do you ever change shoulders when working these types of drills? Im no expert, but it seems like you are exposing yourself on the corners.

    • @frogmantactical
      @frogmantactical  6 місяців тому +3

      Not in this video. No need to try and push that on someone who is barely learning to shoot good.
      On another note if you aren’t going to practice and be really good at it don’t waste your time. You’re more of a hinder than you are effective.
