Didn't realize it was this simple. Been running on single monitor since I got my new and improved setup. Thanks man
I've never seen someone more informative, funny,on point and offering a solution fast than you. You just got your self a loyal sub bro
Wow didn't think this video would be as popular/helpful as this! Thanks for all the support everyone! :D
:p
Tech Tesseract i dont find it in bios help me plz
Tech Tesseract how do I find it i hav msi bios can't find it
dude this was a life saver i forgot to check that my graphics had 2 ports
is there performance loss on the gpu monitor for gaming?
this has been the most useful video ive ever seen on youtube
Hooray!
Will this trick run both monitors simultaneously?
i agree
lots of arm waving included
Instructions unclear made a bomb and a sandwich
The first 90 seconds of this video was like he was perfectly describing what I've spent the last hour going through 😂
Even though im not really a fan of tech fans, I really love that you put so much effort into your vids even with a small audience .
One of the most underrated videos on all of UA-cam. This should have way more views and be spread around way more. This helped solve my problem and get to the point in 30 seconds when I've spent nearly an hour looking around online
I still find it crazy that a video I made in the first few months of this channel that took about 5 minutes to make is still helping people out 3 years later 😂
make that 5 years later lol , great little tip i didnt have the correct cables for 2nd screen the GPU is all display port for my monitor thats fine but the other screen is vga thanks 👍
STILL USEFUL 🤣
You’re awesome man, thanks!
IntroSpecktive randomly spotted you on this video lol
what are you doing here?

Great video man! Answered my question in less than 4 minutes, I wish other tech videos were done this well. Thanks!
Dude, you've grown a beard since you made this, and still 4 years later you are helping people.
Have a sub!
I Needed the second monitor for stream chat and obs. This video is very helpful. Thank you so much you're the man👊
Perfect! I would've never thought to look for the settings in BIOS. It worked!
I spent quite a while trying to figure it out and your video literally helped me solve that issue in 2 minutes. Thank you!
I sat here for about an hour watching videos that were not helping me. In the first minute of your video you stated my exact situation. You solved my problem in a matter of 3 minutes. You made it easy. Many thanks! Liked and subbed
Glad it helped man thanks for the comment!
Great video! You actually described my exact problem. Thanks for making a very precise to the point and helpful video!
+CapDMac Woo I'm glad man thanks for the comment!
Thank you so much, very straightforward and to the point. Also, the explanation of the situation was useful too cause it confirmed that this was the exact video i needed to see.
You're welcome bro! Thanks for the comment
This has to be the most straight forward video I have ever seen and I love it.
After 5 years and this is still 100% useful
Your scenario in the beginning described my situation to a "T"! Thanks for this!
this guy explained everything i was thinking and every step i took before watching this video. lol thanks
No problem!
This video is great, very straightforward, no unnecessary blabbering, great job.
Im fairly dumb with PC so I almost bought a new card to connect 3rd monitor.
Spent like two days looking for an answer to this, it worked perfectly. Thank you so much, man.
Very well made video! All the right amount of content and humor, simple and down to earth.
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO HAVE A SECOND MONITOR FOR 6 MONTHS NOW THANK YOU
I was searching all over the internet for this problem and you just solved it in one minute mannnn thanks a lot man!

Straight down to the point and very helpful great video dude thank you for helping me!
This video is a godsend
thank you.
I can now buy the parts to build my pc in peace.
The amount of videos I have watched trying to figure this out then I watched yours and you was using a gigabyte motherboard the same as me which has sorted it for me. THANK you!!
Nice one glad it worked!
Hello Josh, You need to see this back, 4 years ago and now you are killer ! Fans here, your setup content is much more TESSERACT and INSANE ! Keep working till 100K Sub !
Omg I love you after 4 hours wasted searching and reading . 2 minutes after this video I'm good to go thank you
a big caveat to this is it depends alot on your motherboard some motherboards (in fact most) aren't gonna allow you to enable onboard graphics with a graphics card installed and for gamers even if your gaming on the one hooked up to your gpu it can still introduce unnecessary lag and cpu heat
Why would it introduce lag? Isnt the point of this to reduce lag cause u dedicate your gpu to only games and the internal one to everything else
Ended up here six years after this video was posted and still helpful!
It's 2021! Thanks to you, I had the chance to show my kiddo how editing the BIOS as per your vid solved our single monitor prison plight! Thanks much!
Unbelievably helpful! You're the best!!!
Thanks man! Glad it helped!
It works...can u tell how to extend it and play games on both of them at once means extending the game screen..
i don't see this being a thing only because an IGPU will not be able to keep up with whatever games you're playing like a dedicated card would. IGPU's are used for the most basic of tasks, not graphically intensive applications like games.
Your scenario is, beat for beat, EXACTLY what happened with me. Thanks for the video, very helpful!
this video helped me out a few months ago. in between then and now I reset my BIOS. today i tried to use my TV as an extra monitor for the first time in a while and ran into the same issue. then i googled the issue and came to this video again! just as helpful the second time, thanks!
Glad it helped!
Just as you said; my bios was a little different. I had to switch priorities from PCIe > PCI to IGP > PCIe > PCI, and it worked!
Thank you for this quick video 👍🏿
so the graphics card an de integrated video work at the same time?
Thank you so much. Was stressing that I can't connect a second monitor. helped me out loads
Thank you I've been looking for videos for hours, I really appreciate your channel
No probs!
Thanks bro you were a lot of help, sadly I didn’t have a chipset option in my bios but I did find intel graphics in my peripherals and that worked! Thanks for the help dude much love ❤️

@@ababeidavid6481 huh?

Thanks for this! easy enough to do and worked well. it did take about 30 seconds for the computer to find that monitor and turn on, which is why you skipped that part in your video. Thanks a bunch!
thankyou for making a simple vid explaining something many people don't understand!! straight to the point and easy
You're welcome!
I just bought a 720P emachines monitor, guess I can do this now
I cannot like this video enough. i always come back when i rebuild a system(my memory is trash and i forget how to do it lol)
Haha thanks man!
thank you so much this helped solve my problem that i’ve been trying to figure out for a while
great video, thank you! good context, good explanation, relevant and not too long to watch fully, awesome
If I do this will my main monitor be reduced to using integrated graphics as well, because i dont want to lose visual quality on my main monitor
No, main monitor will be coming from the graphics card, second monitor will be going from the igpu
Can someone help me, I did this but when I try to boot up the pc it blue screens me after the windows have loaded and before I get on my desktop
TheMatafritas it means u fucked up something in bios
OMG I tried a thing or two in the BIOS and turned on my pc, nothing worked. Then, as a reasonable human, I googled it and started watching this video. At 1:37 it suddenly did a loud connected a new device sound and behold - SECOND MONITOR TURNED ON. Turns out the drivers were installing and it took some time. Anyways this video magically worked. It was obviously nothing I did before in my BIOS. You are a tech wizard, literally. You magically solved my problem. Thanks man! :)
A video that is 4 years old and also explained everything that I’ve been trying to look up for HOURS today FINALLY answered my question. On side note don’t know if it works going to give it a try and I’ll be back with an update!
I'll be waitingggg
@@TechTesseract well bad news and good news. Good news is it helped me get where I needed to get. Bad news I don’t have a motherboard gpu. I guess my model never came with one because of the gpu they put in for that model and year 🤷🏼♂️
Bro u just posted epic u going to gain subscriber
Awesome :D
What if you are playing a game, on the monitor conectet to the board, then the graphics card, dosent do anything or does it, arent you just playing of the processor? Pls reply.
ReviloARTZ no, if u have ur drivers for that gpu, than it’ll still play for ur gpu, ur just using your hdmi for the screen don’t worry
Ive got Hdmi and dvi plugged into my graphics card and a vga into my motherboard but it dus not show on Niv controll panel do you know any fix
@@splicerfs1681 yea it shows Intel Graphics one instead :/
@@BigGav12 downside of this is that U have to select HIGH PERFORMANCE GRAPHIC (discrete GPU) for every damn game that U want to play on your discrete GPU. In Display settings type Graphic setting in search field. Then select Graphic preference there (power saving gpu or high performance). You have to add every game that you want it to be rendered on your main gpu. Plus by enabling your igpu you there will be some small ammount of system RAM alocated to it. It's a nuissance to do this every time. I'd rather buy a DP to HDMI converter for 15-20 bucks. Running main gpu through integrated one also may induce some performance hit or graphical glitches on screen. That shit is well supported on laptops but desktop is kinda murky area.
I’ve used this video twice now and it’s helped me both times.
I have a few questions:
1) Can I use this not only to mirror the output but also extend my Desktop?
2) Does this improve my performance if I want to game on the extended graphics card but watch a video on the second screen running off the integrated graphics?
3) If I play games with support for multiple monitors (certain strategy games like Supreme Commander or maybe flight simulators)?
GREAT VIDEO MATE! So helpful, I had this EXACT issue and this is the fix. Thanks again.
Hey man I have 2 questions -
1. If we can play any game in this mode (like one port through gpu and the another on board) with dual monitors standby?
2. And when I turn on my computer one of these monitors are coming at the first and after windows login screen the other one comes on, Is that normal or do you know how to fix this problem?
its normal mine did it
mine does that with extend mode
When I play games in duplicate it caps at 20fps not the 120 I normally get anyone help?
@@sausagesquash1911 You can't play with dual monitore using that setup or the frame rate will be very bad because you internal graphics can't compensate the graphic capability of your "real" gpu. So stay with only one screen or just as passive display with your game on first screen (GPU) and youtube for example on the other one (Internal GPU)
@@Minekeek yeah but it ran at 120 before when I had same sized monitors would it make a difference considering now one of my monitors is 27 and one is 36

I know I’m late but I have a msi motherboard and it’s not the same as yours have u any help
go into advanced settings, says somethings like igfx, just scroll through the cpu/ graphics settings til you find it, good luck
Same i cant find chipset in bios
My whole setup when I got to the settings ( when you push Delete ) is way different it’s a blue screen and bunch of settings
everyones bios is different, just try to find internal graphics and enable them they may be somewhere else tho
@@feverdream I have the same as him and in the entire BIOS there is no internal Graphics option
LRP543 maybe you need to push a different key on startup to get to your menu alike to the one u r looking for. look up what key to press to get to bios on your mobo / oem computer specifically.
You solved my problemn, thank you very much dude, your video from 7 years ago is still helping people
Thank you very much! Simple and fast and definetly works! You saved my day! Apparently using 2 adapters - display port(small)-to-DVI-to-VGA does not work. But using the vga port on the motherboard apparently does!
I did it and enabled it and I have both monitors using HDMI and it still does not detect the second monitor
try setting primary boot mode to use igpu
Eric Freeman I tried this but instead of igpu it said something else that I forgot and now when I boot my computer I can't get output in any of my monitor please help I can use my computer
*can't use my computer
if your running on board graphics , then maybe u are using amd, which doesn't have integrated graphics ?
try pressing Windows Button and the P button at the same time. This will open your project screen where you can choose which screen to use or duplicate.
For everyone that (like me) didn't get it working after following the tutorial: You may need to install drivers. Windows 10 doesn't install them automatically. Go to device manager and you find the internal graphics chip and update drivers. That got it working for me. Or just go to the website of the manufacturer (AMD or Intel probably) and download them there if you know which one you got.
+BobTech Thanks for the tip!

Awesome! I will try it. I bought a used win 10 comp. Came with a Nvidia Gtx 1050 ti with one DVI output.I got a used monitor and plugged it in to onboard video output. Nothing. You saved the day! I tell my bro to move to Australia. He cant because his wife's family are staying put and they are rich.
But thanks again. I was stumped until I saw your expert vid! Great work!
While big tech sites said it's not possible to use both gpus to run dual monitors, this guy said yes and easily showed us how for which we all thank him. I recently upgraded to a wide LG monitor so my full HD Benq was left aside until I decided to plug it in my Nvidia GPU and run it as second. But then after some fps drops in game, I thought why not use my HDMI onboard slot and run the monitor through that? Sure enough, I looked it up and beside a lot of No, this guy saved me. I had my IGPU disabled in BIOS by myself a long time ago thinking why would I need it, so I enabled that, updated the drivers and sure enough I'm writing this comment from my second monitor. This guy's the real winner right here, showing us it's possible and not listening to those influencing sites.
well, can you present us which sites said that?
Will this have any significant impact on the performance of the CPU since the second monitor is running off the integrated graphics? I have an i5 6600k which should be fine but I'm just curious?

by the way can i use triple monitor by using
2 monitor on vga (Hdmi + DVI) and
1 monitor onboard by using vga or hdmi?
i have run 2 monitors off of hdmi, one off of display port, one off of dvi, all from the graphics card, and then a vga from the onbooard all at once

Most likely? More then one monitor requires more power due to the pixels needed. Especially something like dual 4k. But I mean if you got a good card and pc you shouldnt worry bout performance
