Ya Tom you are right I did the e visa in December when I was there. It is very easy. And you just print it out and carry it in your passport.

Have a great channel. I really like your style presenting everything. I've written to you before and I've been in Cambodia a few times, but many years back there. I'm a little bit confused with the E visa. I get different information in different places. I read that i is good for 30 days and then I read you can extend it for 3 months 6 months and a year! Could you please give some more details on the E visa. Thanks a lot.
The confusion is there’s two visas that are different, that both use the letter “e” - if it’s a lower case e ( e-visa) this means electronic visa - it’s a Tourist visa you get online. This cannot be extended more than 30 days
The “E-type” visa with a big E is different, it’s called Ordinary visa. Initially is good for 30 days but can be extended with one of the many extension types. Most commonly you would extend it to a EB extension after you get a job. This is a business or work visa. This EB extension is what you saw for 3 , 6, or 12 month.
Knowing this now…you can google stuff more accurately.

Now that this e-arrival has been arounds for many months, does anyone have experience departing without the yellow immigration card.
The immigration card is white,and you better don't loose it.If you loose, Immigration in Phnom Penh.
I trusted that you have tried in March already, is there any drama on departure, without the yellow form.
Back in Feb, exactly 4 weeks ago, the immigration officer still asked for the yellow immigration form. I don't think they are equipe to scan your QR code on the phone. Anyway, the whole point of e-anything is you do it all digitally, and don't need to print anything out.
They are still doing paper as well until July 2024
i am arriving phnom penh airport on 12th april. so do i need to fill up online arrival form?
its not mandatory till July. its just an app that makes it all quicker when you come through the airport.
I hate when they do this kind of stuff. Paper option is always best. Can't stand society making phones more and more essential. I remember dropping my phone in the harbor in Hong Kong one time some thirty or forty minutes before having to cross the border in Shenzhen.

Do i have to have a job lined up before i can get an e type visa? I get retirement from the military and honestly i just want to be able to stay there without getting a tourist visa. Don't really want to teach. Just want to be there long enough to decide whether i want to stay there long term or maybe retire there.
No you don’t - It gives you 30 days to look for a job and I think you can extend 30 more days. When you get a job then they help you get an extension to an EB Visa which is 12 month
Don't make E Visa.😜
