- It is the perfect time of year to grab those scraps and throw together a snowplow. I absolutely recommend using a 55 gallon drum ($10), installing a skid plate, and avoiding curbs. The first time I drive around like an idiot, but after that, I cleared as much as 6" in about 5-10 minutes. I learned to just go straight back and clear things in three passes. Anyway, go for it. It works!
Very good idea and presentation and craftmanship, can I buy one off of u ,you know what dude u know how to make America great again, nano size
Ah hahaha. Thanks Mike, I really appreciate it.
Wow! Fabulous work! You just helped take a huge weight off my chest! I'm going to build one tomorrow!
That's awesome. Have fun with the build.
This is awesome
easy way . . but good enough
Cool!
You make do with what you got available 👍👍
Absolutely. The 55 gallon drum works better than I would have hoped.
Great job!
Good job, I don't live in an area where it snows, but if I did, I would feel more confident seeing how you did it, and it worked. Nicely done.
Thanks. It was a fun project, and it makes things so much faster and easier.
Hey there the skid plate that you installed can you explain how many millimetres it raises the plow? Thanks.
Thanks for asking. The skid plate is the thickness of the 55 gallon drum. That makes it about 5 mm.
really cool!!! i love it!!!
Can you post the plans
cool i have started building mind very similar to yours but i have a winch
You will love it. I assumed I would add a winch, but I didn't need it. I would love to see yours when it's done.
Can I get a materials list?
Craig, I don't have a cut list. Everything is just scraps that I had in my garage, plus a 55 gallon drum. Good luck (and sorry I couldn't be more helpful).
How much to build me one!!!
Hahaha. You've got this. Just start building.
