That's exactly how I remembered the movie before I rewatched it for this video. I thought it was bad because I remembered the animation not being great but now it's one of my all time favorites
People bang on the graphics but this is actually a really fucking good movie. The characters, humor, and plot are great. Also the concept is unique and creative as hell? Red riding hood but the forest is kinda ghetto and the story is a crime interrogation session told from different PoVs? Comedic gold 😂
If I had a nickel for every time I heard a character in an animated film sing "Be Prepared", I'd have two nickels... which isn't a lot but it's strage it happened twice.
Considering the people animating this were animating for the first time with a budget of $8 million, it's it's not that bad. This movie ended up making $110 million.
I somewhat agree, the movie doesn't look completely terrible but it definitely could've been better with a higher budget and more experienced team. At the same time I don't think this movie would've had the same charm without the low budget animation

The story is fun and has a lot of charm to it. Animation is not the best looking but it kinda adds to the charm.
