doing this model at the moment, where did you get the splatter stencil you used at start? Seems a lot easier using that than airbrushing squiggley pattern in each panel.
@@arewethereyetmodeling2196 thanks mate. Your skyraider turned out really nice. Up to decal stage now. Will be doing a similar sludge wash as you using mig pigment powder and water.
Hi JP, yes templates are commercially available. The major modeling painting companies ( Vallejo, Ammo, AK) all produce their own. The one i use in the video is from AK. It’s nice but it was not cheap. I found that you can obtain generic ones on eBay for cheaper. I recommend looking on eBay.
@@arewethereyetmodeling2196 Thanks very much for the quick response! I will definitely check these out as they can obviously save time with this technique.
Awesome job and video!
Thank you very much!

Nice video but it's about half the size it normally is, so it's hard to see details.
Hey, glad you liked the video. Not sure why UA-cam decreased the size of the pics. I think I need to upgrade my account.
Excellent Content!

How long do you let the clay wash dry before removing?
Hi Russell, the wash dries in about 20 minutes. You can speed up the process by using a small hair dryer on low heat.
