She never behaved as if she was remotely interested in integrating and assimilating into the greater family. She paid lip-service to the notion …. but her actions drowned out that noise.
Jenelle was absolutely 100% dedicated to this family. I feel like she did everything right when it comes to their family. The financial support she gave this family is unbelievable. She gave everything to this family. Unfortunately in the end it bit her in the rear. She had to walk away with nothing while Robin has a $1.5 million house and has her name on everything and didn’t contribute nearly as much as Jenelle or the other wives did. It’s truly sad what has happened to her. And I hope she becomes so financially stable and get anything and everything she wants in her life because I feel like she deserves it.
Yep it’s insane. Gave up her 401k, helped with the down payment for Sobyn’s house, the list goes on and on I’m sure. I just hope she gets her part of the land at the very least to sell or do as she pleases with.
She contributed nothing - they had to pay off her 30k debt and fund her move to Lehi. She’s got the CP Acreage, the house plus 4 extra acres around the house…insanity!
She will. She'll bounce back from this stronger than ever. She'll find a good attorney and build herself an empire.

Believe me, Robyn routinely turns every situation she's in into how much it victimizes her, especially when she's the one who hurts others. She is very much like Meri in that. Robyn, Meri, and Kody are all essentially the same person where they will be selfish and even vindictive, and then act as though they're the victim when there are consequences to their actions. Christine and Janelle have gone no contact with Meri (now that they're able to leave the relationship) because she terrorized them and their children for years. No one wants to be friends with Robyn because she has done everything she could to undermine them and create problems. And Kody? What BS hasn't he done? The three of them are so alike and have ruined their relationships with Christine, Janelle, and even most of the kids to the point where it's completely understandable that they've mostly disconnected with them quite happily.
YES! THIS! Like eventually Meri admitted that when Christine left she knew that not everything Kody was saying about Christine was true. but instead of standing up for Christine or pushing back on Kody's narrative, Meri chose to stand by Kody's lies and tear down Christine too because it was more important to her to potentially get Kody to sleep with her than it was to be honest and truthful and a good person to the other members of her family. And that to me is just deeply gross behavior that she was willing to do all of that for a man who treated her horribly for well over a decade at the expense of women who supported her and raised her child with her. Gross. And as much as she was a victim of Kody's as well she was a perpetrator of the same behaviors Kody has against the other wives and the fact that she refuses to truly take accountability or acknowledge that is why very few in the family like her or want to be her friend.
I really can't believe the only time Kody thought about reconciling with Meri was when she made him rice krispie treats. He is a toddler!
Also Amanda, maybe try Spindrift flavored seltzer? It's really good!

Robyn liked being Queen bee. She had control of Kody so control of the wives.
They are not involved in the AUB anymore, haven't been for years. Robyn is the only one who even tries to act like they are.

Robyn asks questions in her church when she wants to cover her narrative. Like they can’t leave unless they ask the church first. None of them have a church!
I think it’s partly money for Robyn, but I also think she likes the idea of plural marriage so she doesn’t have to put up with the man being around all the time. I think she liked her nights off without him and now she’s stuck with him all the time!
That and she likes feeling like she's the one on top. She likes having the other women pine over a man and he likes her best.
Recall, Robbem 's first husband was interested in her sster, not her. She stole him from her. She LOVES making other women miserable.

I genuinely mourn for the whole family losing Garrison. It makes me sick that Kody let his narcissism and pride get in the way of a relationship with his son in the time before his death. As parents, it's our job to take the high road. Our children will always make mistakes; it's part of learning how to navigate life. He forever has to live with the fact that he isn't a big enough man to forgive his children for perceived wrongs, and now will never have a chance to make amends. Janelle never stopped loving and supporting her kids; I cannot fathom her pain and wish her the absolute best. 💔❤️🩹
I think you and your ex-polygamist family and friends add really interesting insight into Sister Wives.
I’ve always thought Kody never loved Meri. He starts bringing up a second wife (months or a year/2) into their marriage. They didn’t even have a foundation yet. She’s been playing catch up ever since. Only having 1 child probably wasn’t his vision either. I remember an early episode where they are together on a picnic and she brings up IVF. He said no. Then Robyn offered to be a surrogate. He said no. I think Meri was doomed after that. But she kept pining after him. It’s so uncomfortable to watch.
I don't think Kooty loves anyone. He likes to be with a lot of different women because he can't be truly intimate with anyone.
And polygamy is just a way to justify his playboy desires. Make it a RELIGIOUS thing and hey, he can justify being a playboy to god.
Oh. And he thinks he looks cool banging so many women. That other men should envy him.

But Meri knew when she married him that they would be living plural marriage, she always planned that. Also, Janelle was previously married to a brother of Meri's prior to marrying Kody. And there were no children born until after Christine also married him. Janelle had the first child, then Christine, then Meri. Meri wanted more children but wasn't able to have them. The IVF/Robyn surrogacy things in the show were almost certainly just "storylines" for the show to add drama.
@mariposa right, he only loved Meri for what she would allow him to do - which seemed to be anything. Meri went along with his plans, and made him look good. He described Meri as “bait” in the first episode.
You've probably seen this by now, but Garrison, one of the two of Janelle's sons that Kody had such issues with, took his own life yesterday. The other son, Gabriel, is the one who found him. 😢
Poor gabe😢 that man has just been dealt blow by blow. I feel horrible for all the family,regardless of the canyon sized emotional bs between them all all those kids lost a bubba and a whole bunch of parents who helped raise him (as an og kiddo) lost a child. Obv the bio parents are going to feel it a lot deeper,but i feel like christine is also destroyed as the mom who usually watched the kids mostly while kody,meri, and Janelle did jobs. I just hope this might wake kody up to reaching out apologizing to all the kids,& truly putting in the effort into emotionally and deeply listening and pouring into ALL of the kids. ...but for some reason i feel like robyn is going to make this about how her and her kids are struggling even though they already get all of kodys attention. To the point where he forgets whole birthdays,fails to see his kids for months, etc. Like we all seen Gwen cry bc of how she sees kody be a perfect father to robyns kids but never put in the same effort with her. I just hope for healing,& and people getting out of the way (within or outside of) so that they can. You know? ❤ just heartbroken for them all.

So in the book Christine says that Meri was too strict with her kids. And she blew up and ended the relationship. In the past few years some of the kids have come out saying Meri was abusive. So I think it’s a lot of things, but her kids being mistreated was #1, IMO
The kids in question also say they weren’t abused, they go back and forth and can’t give specifics on what the abuse was. Some of the kids say Kody put hands on them, yet the others say it’s not abuse. So…there’s too much suspicion on those allegations.
I can understand where suspicions might be raised but children in the same household have very different memories because they have individual experiences. I was not in their home so I cannot attest to anything, however the question was ‘what did Meri do?’ and this was the answer Christine gave.

Meri, Janelle and Christine supported this familr fir years. Kody wasn't successful as a provider. Robyn had to do nothing but stay home. She didn't work, just let the othet wives support her.
Before any of the wives left all of the TLC $ went into the “family pot”. So Sobyn & Kody are severely hurting financially now that Christine and I’m guessing Janelle & Meri’s $ are all going to them separately now.

I watched since day 1 and LOVED the fact that this was not a patriarchy at all even though Kody dreamt of it. The wives even discuss that a lot at first especially in the episode where they go on holiday. During covid Robyn put him on a pedestal and made him the patriarch and that's why the other wives bailed. He went crazy for power! He doesn't love Robyn more than the others, he loves the power of being in charge finally his dream came true!

Kody is so afraid of poverty. We have to remember that when the wives brought houses in vegas this was freeing for them. They had houses in their names not his. It shook him to the core that Meri increased her own wealth by purchasing the house in Parawan. This was a wake up call. Kody and Robyn planned the exit to Flagstaff. They stealthily took the wealth from others to his and Kodys pockets. Its beyond disgusting

Bosom buddies is just a phrase people used to say that means really close friends. Bosom is the chest so close to the heart.
Edit: just looked up history and Bosom Friend was found in writings in the 1500's. Bosom Buddy started around 1960 which is what I grew up hearing. Now, I haven't heard anyone use the phrase in many years so only us older fogeys. Now probably the only time someone sees or mentions it is a song from the musical Mame and the tv show Bosom Buddies which was Tom Hank's first breakout role.

Kollene was on a couple episodes of sister wives. On one episode she and other former polygamist had to live with the Browns, I believe.
It's too bad the show never showed sobyn being rude & mean to Christine as she said happen. We saw sobyn doing her crying when she declared she was leaving. But sobyn always looked indiferrent, & not really friendly or giving. But it's easy to believe Christine.
I'm pretty sure they like to show how much a victim she thinks she is. For whatever reason, they like only that part of the storyline.

Suki is talking about Mary emotionally cheated with a catfish. And Christine is hinting at Mary being verbally abusive to Christine and Janelle back in the day. Also the adult kids hinted at Mary being verbally abusive to them and that when Robin came into the family exposed it. Also once got physical with makelti one of Christine's kids.

I believe you have hit the nail on the head regarding your feedback on Robyn. I often wonder if Robyn had not come into this family if they might still be together or in a better place.
Please, don't misunderstand, I'm not in favor of polygamy or even a patriartrical lifestyle, not my thing. I do, however, believe in individual free choice (which, in my opinion, women in a polygamist or patriarchal situation most likely do not have).

I said it on the part one video too, but I can’t get over it… I don’t even follow sister wives other than through people who do reviews of the shows like you and Sam and Melissa (GUIP) but seeing Christine here and seeing her now with her new relationship is night and day. She was so broken and sad here and she is glowing and excited and happy in her life now. It’s so good to see that a person can leave an ab*sive relationship like this was (allegedly) and find happiness again. I hope just as much happiness for all the other wives! Shes definitely not a pick me but she was deeply conditioned and I love the fact she's seeing the light. Hes so freaking cruel to the O3 and pitted them against each other. So, after 10 years of no intimacy with Meri (her words), Meri got caught up in a catfishing scheme (most likely set up by Robins friend) and Meri basically fell for a guy (that turned out to be a girl). We think she would have left Kody for him, if he had been real.
Notice he said “It was my birthday” for the rice crispy treats… nope - it was the anniversary (where he said - ‘I’m not coming”) - which also either was not true, or within the date he changed his mind - meaning he didn’t see Christine that day… which means that he 100% lying - that story can not be true. Just lying. Out of his own mouth.
And the way he grabbed Suki to tell her "maybe Meri and I can work it out maybe" and suki recoiled. Kody said he did that with the other wives, his 3 best friends. Lol. He just made up that story to change the direction of the interview.

Meri had an emotional affair online. But prior to that there were allegations that she was physically abusive to the other wives kids. I believe she was also accused of pushing Janelle when she was pregnant.
Meri was also accused of controlling of Kody and the way the family was run in the beginning by the other wives in their book.
Also heard Janelle kicked Meri. They are ALL liars!
