Technically, they were NOT excommunicated from the AUB. They moved away from the community and dropped the religion. The AUB has distanced themselves from the Browns because of the show, but if the Brown family were to go back to Utah & the church, they would be welcomed as long as the show was done. It’s sad because when Christine’s daughter Gwendolyn reacted to this episode and when it came to the part with the kids coming home from school, she teared up and said it hurts that he never cared about them in the same way as he does Robyn’s kids.

I was thinking that this wasn’t the first time he had yelled at her like that. Just the first time he’d done it in front of the cameras. I know I can sit calmly and let my mother rage around me and scream in my face. But I can only do that because she’s done it my whole life and I have practice (or I did. I’m no contact with her now). I just worry that Christine was able to appear so “zen” because she’s had decades of practice.

When Cody was telling Christine she only looked to him as a resource. I took that as she needed him as a physical, intimate resource and she was being selfish because she shouldn't be thinking of her own needs but looking at the bigger picture of the family. Only his needs and desires matter and the women are to be there for him but ONLY if he wants them.. not if they want him. The women are there to take care of the kids, the house, Work to bring in income and most importantly be there ONLY if Cody wants them. Otherwise they are to be happy and continue on.

I really like that you talk about the weird racist stuff too because I haven’t watched much media where racism is addressed. After Kody married Robyn, he totally stopped trying and pretending with the first three wives. He owns this entire mess. He sacrificed NOTHING but expected those women to sacrifice EVERYTHING, mostly importantly he felt entitled for those women to abandon every bit of their self-worth in order to leave him be to be happy in his singular marriage to Robyn, who NEVER lived a day of plural marriage. He only needed those women for their money and the ego boost their presence gave him.
The best part of all of this is knowing that Christine is off thriving without Cody… She’s found a band who seems to genuinely love her for her all of her quirks and all… She’s remarried and a monogamous relationship the way that it should be and she still has a fantastic relationship with Janelle. They may not have had a father but they had a Christine they had mama, Janelle and mama Christine And the same thing with Christine‘s kids they may not have had a father but they had a Janelle and as close as Christine is with Janelle‘s kids Christine‘s kids are also just as close with Janelle. It’s ironic that Cody always blamed everything on Christina. Everything is Christine’s fault. Nothing is ever his fault or Robin’s fault. Rob’s perfect is like the second coming Robin with her cap in hand and all the sacrifices she’s made for the family… I’m still waiting for just one example of one sacrifice that Robin has made for that family.😂😂 but Cody and Robbins mine. He didn't pay any money towards Truely's hospital stay and Ysabel's back surgery. He told Christine to save her grocery money if she wanted a vacation but Robyn gets a 2 week honeymoon that the wives probably paid for. I sometimes think that this can't be real. I wasn't that fond of Ch at the beginning. She seemed a bit too cult-like cheery at the beginning. But as her situation worsened, and she began to find her voice, she became very impressive and inspirational - thereby winning the hearts of the viewers!

The FINANCES: I hope you read as I don’t think there’s spoilers….I don’t believe Kody was paying their bills or mortgages. Christine sold her house in Season 18 and kept the money. She said she had made every mortgage payment, the same as Janelle and Meri. The only one Kody seems to be supporting is Robyn, she’s never worked (apart from My Sister Wife’s Closet) but the other 3 wives have always worked. In the early seasons, it seemed like they all had a budget to work with and Kody handled the main family pot. But IMO as the years progressed Kody and Robyn were misusing funds. Janelle has made a statement about seeing the tax returns and money not being spent appropriately. They now have their own different LLCs or companies that TLC pays the OG3 separately in. The OG3 really need a forensic accountant to see what Kody has done with a lot of the money. Expensive artwork, jewelry and other hiding in plain sight big ticket money items are shown in Kody and Robbem’s McMansion. The financial inequity has become more and more obvious as the seasons have progressed but only being recently revealed .

Then as she walks away, Meri tries to get her to just, "Look at the mountain." Basically saying to Ch, "Stay in a loveless marriage like me." In the "knife in the kidney" scene, Meri professed her full support of Kody's verbal abu$e of Ch. In Meri's interview after that event, Meri said Kody had every right to say everything he said to Ch. 😳
how did Meri wake up? She certainly never apologized or reached out to Christine. Meri would then continue to demean Christine in several ways in subsequent episodes. I never saw Meri "wake up" from shunning Christine. @@seameology 🤔
Kody's been playing keepaway with the property by holding out to change property lines, which means it first has to be paid off, but he has no intention of getting it paid off so he can stall and stall and stall. I can't wait for Christine's wedding January 7 and 14. From the previews, it looks like ALL of the kids love David. Kooty was worried that a new man would get some of his money. But, Christine's new husband is far more wealthy than Kooty. WITHOUT a show. Plus, he was a single father for over ten years, raising eight kids by himself. He's far more man than Kooty will ever be. In fact, David doesn't even want the show. Kooty will go broke without the show and I believe, thats why he's so mad.
It's ALL out the $$$ honey. That goes for Robbem as well. Their cushy lives on the backs of the other women is about to end. Robbem bankrupted her first husband's business and HE filed for divorce. Kooty paid off $32K of Robbem's Victoria's Secret debt from her first marriage. Robbem's first husband is Christine's first cousin so the kids are still related. Kooty is his third cousin or something like that.
What's especially insensitive of Kody is that his daughter Truly (with Christine) nearly died of kidney failure. Her decline happened while Kody was supposed to have been caring for her. Look up that early episode.
Let's not forget that there's a financial component to this, meaning, Kody and Robyn has a lifestyle that needs to be maintain. All the women money were in an LLC, which Kody was privy to; Robyn asking Christine about the children and having a relationship is simply her way of making it about herself. Robyn and Kody has not followed the Brown family rules, in terms of not discussing the other relationships, the viewers have learned that Robyn has inserted herself into each of the women's relationship with Kody from the beginning... everything she does is with a motive. Robyn asking Christine about having a relationship was baffling to most of the viewers, because she's never made an effort to be a part of the family, it's all strategic.😳

One of the things they don't recognize on the show - because they won't break the fourth wall - is that Christine and others have to discuss certain things with their kids because they are going to see it on TV! For example, Christine's adult children were going to see and hear their dad say that he was never in love with or attracted to their mom.

54:17 Christine paid her mortgage on her own. He did not help her at all with the house. He told her to take his name off the house. Christine was sad about that but it worked out for her in the end because her finances weren’t tied up and she wasn’t stuck.
I think it was because him and Robyn's had credit problems trying to get their mcmansion. At that point, Christine's owed too much on her mortgage. So Kooty needed his name off of that debt.
She paid the family money back that she put down on her house after the Vegas House sold. After that her mlm jobs paid for the mortgage and all her children’s expenses. She even paid for Yssabel’s surgery.

I still can't get over last years finale when Kooter said to the host that plural marriage "is all ego baby" such a sanctimonious git. The only reason he married Christine is, as he delighted in repeatedly telling the viewers, was because Christine was classed as Royalty in the AUB as her grandfather was Ruelon Alred, founder/profit of the AUB. Christine worked her socks off during the marriage, helping to raise not only her kids but all of the others to, apart from robyns as she wouldn't deign to have christine look after them, she would then go out to work of an evening and he wouldn't even help out with putting her kids to bed when they all lived in the Leihi house. He treated as a second class citizen, basement wife, and Christine finally realised her worth. Janelle is an amazing sister wife and bestie to Christine.
They tried therapy. Individual, as couple, as the wives together with Kody the first thing Kody said I'm not open to criticism. For 5 years before the show, he did couples therapy with Meri . On camera with a different therapist, he said he needed to learn to communicate better. 5 years later, if you didn't learn, is because u didn't want to. Janelle said Kody loved to gossip. I really don't believe he loved them. He loved the adoration and fight for his love and attention.

The FINANCES: I hope you read as I don’t think there’s spoilers….I don’t believe Kody was paying their bills or mortgages. Christine sold her house in Season 18 and kept the money. She said she had made every mortgage payment, the same as Janelle and Meri. The only one Kody seems to be supporting is Robyn, she’s never worked (apart from My Sister Wife’s Closet) but the other 3 wives have always worked. In the early seasons, it seemed like they all had a budget to work with and Kody handled the main family pot. But IMO as the years progressed Kody and Robyn were misusing funds. Janelle has made a statement about seeing the tax returns and money not being spent appropriately. They now have their own different LLCs or companies that TLC pays the OG3 separately in. The OG3 really need a forensic accountant to see what Kody has done with a lot of the money. Expensive artwork, jewelry and other hiding in plain sight big ticket money items are shown in Kody and Robbem’s McMansion. The financial inequity has become more and more obvious as the seasons have progressed but only being recently revealed .
Everytime i see the back to school part is Gwendolyn doing a rewatch and she started crying and said she NEVER had a dad like that

Let's not forget that there's a financial component to this, meaning, Kody and Robyn has a lifestyle that needs to be maintain. All the women money were in an LLC, which Kody was privy to; Robyn asking Christine about the children and having a relationship is simply her way of making it about herself. Robyn and Kody has not followed the Brown family rules, in terms of not discussing the other relationships, the viewers have learned that Robyn has inserted herself into each of the women's relationship with Kody from the beginning... everything she does is with a motive. One of the things they don't recognize on the show - because they won't break the fourth wall - is that Christine and others have to discuss certain things with their kids because they are going to see it on TV! For example, Christine's adult children were going to see and hear their dad say that he was never in love with or attracted to their mom.

Christine should of stood up and looked at Robyn and asked her if this is TRUE?? We all saw her be nice to Robyn. But of course Robyn did not stand up and say that’s not true. Because she knew she wanted a nanny & Kody at her house A LOT. Screw the other kids & wives. It’s on you Kody & Robyn.
Just to point out the facts. The adult children have seen and felt the neglect from Kody therefore those adult children actually come to Christine asking her why she stays?!
54:17 Christine paid her mortgage on her own. He did not help her at all with the house. He told her to take his name off the house. Christine was sad about that but it worked out for her in the end because her finances weren’t tied up and she wasn’t stuck.
I think it was because him and Robyn's had credit problems trying to get their mcmansion. At that point, Christine's owed too much on her mortgage. So Kooty needed his name off of that debt.
But in the end, win win for Christine.
She paid the family money back that she put down on her house after the Vegas House sold. After that her mlm jobs paid for the mortgage and all her children’s expenses. She even paid for Yssabel’s surgery.
Meri COULD be glad he said it because she's glad the WORLD now sees what she's been living with.

I remember episodes when Christine offered an olive branch to Robyn many times. Christine admitted to Robyn that she was jealous. Christine worked on her jealousy. Christine made many gestures of frienship toward Robyn. Christine made her things. Christine involved her in things. The kids too.
Robyn is an habitual liar and manipulator and Kody is also an habitual liar and a raging narcissist.

The only reason he married Christine is, as he delighted in repeatedly telling the viewers, was because Christine was classed as Royalty in the AUB as her grandfather was Ruelon Alred, founder/profit of the AUB.
Christine worked her socks off during the marriage, helping to raise not only her kids but all of the others to, apart from robyns as she wouldn't deign to have christine look after them, she would then go out to work of an evening and he wouldn't even help out with putting her kids to bed when they all lived in the Leihi house.
He treated as a second class citizen, basement wife, and Christine finally realised her worth.
Janelle is an amazing sister wife and bestie to Christine.

They tried therapy. Individual, as couple, as the wives together with Kody the first thing Kody said I'm not open to criticism. For 5 years before the show, he did couples therapy with Meri . On camera with a different therapist, he said he needed to learn to communicate better. 5 years later, if you didn't learn, is because u didn't want to. Janelle said Kody loved to gossip. I really don't believe he loved them. He loved the adoration and fight for his love and attention.

lol at "this little toddler man" 🤣 It's true. He acts like a 3 year old. This is a result of his years of being the center of his family’s universe. He just can't fathom not getting his way. I agree that he hasn't changed. His wives are simply seeing him as he is without the lens of idolization. There's an older clip of him throwing a tantrum bc something good was happening that he didn't give permission for. Janelle didn't give much of a response, but his oldest son had to essentially dress him down and illustrate what a child his father is.
Keep in mind, even Leon went to Christine's wedding. Oh, Amanda, the one thing with Robyn, where you thought she was genuine, she wasn't. Also, Christine's disdain for Meri is because Meri abused Christine's kids. Also, Meri and Jenelle has contributed to Robyn's mortgage. Kody has not financially supported Meri, Jenelle or Christine.

Just a note you might find interesting: In the book 'Gone with the Wind' they talk about stopping slavery and polygamy from moving west. To me, they equated polygamy to slavery! I just thought that was interesting!! ❤❤❤

I’m so greatful the King and Queen are now the jester and skellery maid. The kids came to their mothers, as they became adults in their own relationships.

As far as finances, Christine has said Kody did not help her with the bills in Vegas nor Flagstaff. In the past, Janelle helped pay her bills while Christine took care of ALL the children including homeschooling. Janelle and Christine have even said they would meal plan together bc they couldn’t afford groceries.
All the while Kody running around in a 2-seater sports. car dating other women to bring into the family. He did not care if his kids starved.
At this point all three wives have left and want nothing to do with him except for Robyn! They are all much happier and moving on!! Christine is married now!
