    As a person who owned his own custom leather shop, I've made hundreds of belts, but your video taught me something new... the little leather tag in the second belt loop keeper loop! Awesone1 Wish I had known about that when I was making belts for my customers.

    Thanks George for the tips you've shared with us. You have shown me easier ways to do several operations in your videos, better than I called myself doing ok. A wise man once said "give a job to a lazy man, he'll figure out the easiest way to get it done." Well, THIS lazy man thanks you for your tricks and tips that will help me get more done in my "kitchen table" shop situation! Have you ever dip-dyed leather? Chuck over at Weaver loves doing that with the Pro dyes from Fieblings... I find it quick and simple, being lazy! 😉 I've watched ALL your vids once, several many times to get your method squared away, and can't wait to see what else you've got to teach us! Thank you for your work in the Craft, you are appreciated!!

      I can’t tell you how much I appreciate these kind words John I love your quote and I will use that line for sure:)
      A lot of what I’ve done thru the years was just that and now I have a great way to say it! Thank you and I can so relate to a kitchen table workshop
      I do a lot of dip dying and find it makes a fairly quick and effective method to dye items, even tho the prep and cleanup is alittle time consuming Thanks again for taking your valuable time to share your kind words. It truly helps motivate me to know that and yes I will continue to do more videos. I have been nursing an injury so I’ve been out of the shop for a bit. I must remember I’m no spring chicken anymore 😂

      @@dmitryk754 Hello Dmitry I use this type of slot punch for thick tongued buckles The fat part where the tongue bar wraps around the center bar can be problematic on a skinny slot They used to sell a slot punch for that very purpose but it’s been discontinued Thanks

    Hope you can help me. Am making myself a belt. How can you cut (trim) the belt end WITHOUT a belt end punch? As this most likely is the only belt I"ll make, do not want the expense to buy one!

    • @viktorgeorge9144
      @viktorgeorge9144  Рік тому

      I can help but not sure if I can explain it easy enough. Take a piece of paper or card stock and fold it in half If your belt is 1.5” wide draw a line 3/4” from the fold line. Draw in a point down about 1.5” and cut out There’s your English point for your belt tip If you do InstagramDM me and I can show you with a picture in seconds Thank you @viktorgeorgeleathergoods

      Thanks again John The only money belts I make are for cowboy gun belts where there’s an opening between at the buckle end for loading it with Morgan silver dollars. What you’re describing requires a zipper splitting the liner Unfortunately I’m not a zipper guy You’ll have to educate me when you’re done😂 I’m confident you’ll do well
