Sebakwe teaches humans another life lesson...one is never too old or too big to enjoy the simple pleasures of life... You ensuring their safety and happiness each day is the greatest blessing that can be bestowed to the group. As always, wishing everyone a blessed, healthy, and safe weekend.

Sebakwe is full of happy spirit today and its great to see him enjoying it. I fully expected to see him weight lifting a tree in the water!. This video did show some examples of dominance that I was asking about as Somopane turned and gave way to him on the road, he nudged Mambo out of the mud hole and Mambo wisely retreated. I loved the dirt bank beauty mask he was wearing and for a minute, I thought he was going to bring that scoop of it in his tusk back home as a present to Setombe. Another great video of behavior in the bush. Many thanks. His size made Tokwe look like a calf!

Then with Adine talking to him he seemed to become a show off in the most lovely kind of way, he sure likes splashing and he has incredible power and strength as you say. It’s also interesting to see even though they just looovvee the mud bath they really listen to the carers. So is Khanyisa trying to rub up against you Adine 😂 with her muddy body! Great video 😍

Somewhere along the line I was taught that elephants were big lumbering animals - maybe Disney cartoons or something - but in watching these videos and doing some online searching, I now know that they have incredible body awareness and control, and actually walk on their toes, which is nothing like lumbering.
I can usually kind of imagine what it might feel like to be in an animals body, but to be that large and still be able to maneuver like they do is a whole other concept.
Thank you so much for giving us all the opportunity to see their lives so up close and personal ❤

Impressive was the first word that came to my mind the first time I have seen Big Chief Sebakwe on a video He is really majestic I used to love the picture that was on the bottles of Marula He was a very good Ambassador of the drink even when they switched to the stylized design we could still recognize Sebakwe Water is his favorite element and he really loves splashing about and makes the show to demonstrate how powerful he is and today it was without his wooden stick He is always having a ball at the Dam I have very much respect for this magnificient Bull specimen but we also know that he can be adorable with the girlies he was Timisa or Kumbura's knight when she was little and his good friend Dame Setombe and daughter Klasserie Sebakwe is like wonderful Matriarch Tokwe and is a great protector of his Herd

Those were exactly my thoughts when I saw his poise at somewhere around 5:00. That he look’s so powerful and very determined to show someone that he is the Alpha!
Then when everyone else viewed him as playfully pushing the bank repeatedly, I had a totally different feel from his behavior. I thought he was very proudly demonstrating to Adine how very strong and powerful he is by throwing his head and trunk about in the water than by ramming and successfully actually moving the earth on the edge of the dam. I found it rather to be an aggressive display of his power directed at something that he can’t get in trouble for pushing around like he would if he did the same thing to another elephant or Adine etc. Those are just my thoughts when I try to figure out what he is thinking.

Sebakwe’s poise at 0:59 is the very image of an African Bull Elephant. It’s a look of natural power, self confidence, aggression held in check, and everything else an adult African Savannah Elephant should possess. The largest of the 3 species of elephants, and he is quite large and very intelligent, compassionate, protective towards members of his herd. He is all that an African Elephant should be!

What a very relaxing video to watch.❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘. The elephants were definitely doing their own thing and enjoying every minute of it too. Sebakwe sure was enjoying the waterhole all by himself and it looked like he wasn’t ready to be getting out of it either and he was keeping his eye on you too Adine.🥰🐘 However, I just love it when all the Carers were calling all the elephants to group up and that it was time to leave to go somewhere else they would get moving (while Sebakwe still was in the water) but they all lined up and started on their way. As I was watching Sebakwe throw the sand over himself, I was wondering that even though the elephants are very intelligent in keeping themselves safe from the very hot weather with the sand, have any of the elephants ever experienced any kind of bad sunburn and if so, what do you do to help the sunburn to heal? It was amazing to see just how so very tall and big Sebakwe is. It was also so very nice to get to see Jabulani and he is just so handsome and seems to be a carefree spirit like sweet Khanysia is.🥰❤️🐘🐘 It’s so cool to see and know that the elephants actually have so much to do during their days. Thank you all for such an awesome video and for always sharing the Herd with us too. I’m always thinking of them throughout my days and also pray that they are well and safe too. Hugs love and many blessings to you Adine, the Carers too and the elephants in this herd family. They all are so sweet loving and definitely quite intelligent creatures too. Love, Sue M.(Florida, USA)❤️🥰🙏🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘😘🫶🏻😎❌⭕️❌⭕️
