A very informative first night update. It's a real insight to see the hard work, dedication and long hours that goes into saving Phabeni. Learning how the FB community came together and reached out for help just shows how important it is for HERD to have a presence there. You just never know when it will be needed to save one of Africa's precious inheritance. ❤🐘❤
🙏💙🙏❤️🙏💙 to everyone at Herd and for Phabeni...hopefully, his demeanor and their care will pull him through and he will live a long life alongside Khanyisa and the rest of the family!
It's all in order, baby Phabeni is in his blanket, Lammie is there, the carer and milk is there, lots of fresh straw, basically a heavenly orphanage❤❤❤. So nice to look back at how well he was loved.
Thanksalot for showing this. Wonderful seeing our aggressive species doing good for animals knowing how little it is in comparison to the rest. We manage, through ignorance, carelessness and sheer disregard of all others to cause the EXTINCTION of 150 - 200 entire species every WEEK. Thank you again for showing man behaving as we should with regard to fellow animals.
I'm over whelmed by everything you are doing to save this beautiful Ellie baby! How scary it all must seem to him. Thank you so much for being there with him and soothing and petting him constantly reassuring him he is safe! For all of us watching, we are so grateful and relieved he found his way to the Herd. We love you guys soooo much!🕊💖💖💖
How good that Phabeni found his way to you… traumatised as he is, fighting for his life (milk i.e.) and defending himself in his feisty way, as you say… maybe the baby elephants are looking for some 'dark canopy' above them when they are having their milk bottles, like the belly of their mother above their head when they are suckling? Good luck Phabeni, the herd, waiting for him, and the caring staff at HERD
I just can't help but he proud of him for shoving and complaining. That feisty little spark is just what he needs to keep trying despite his loss. Thank you all for taking care of him.
At first I thought your coats & hats said “HERO”. You ARE all heroes in my eyes!!!! ❤ This is the safest, warmest, most comforting place he’s been in a long while, perhaps in his whole young life! God bless the woman who found him and would not let him be killed. And God bless this Elephant Orphanage❣️
It's not surprising this little baby manage to survive when he lost his mother and the herd. He is such a fighter for life. I am sure he will soon settle and have all the carers 'wrapped around his little trunk!' Just like our beautiful Khanyesia.
We really owe these animals after so many have killed elephants and taken their lands. These are special creatures. I’m so glad there are great people keeping them safe and free
Watching Beni feed has made me realize just how hard it was for Khanyisa to feed with the injuries around her mouth. Im so glad Beni doesn't have that problem. I pray he doesn't develop pneumonia. Sweet Lammie doesn't sound like any sheep I've ever heard!! Such a strange sound.😂
I am so glad to see Dr. Rogers with his calm mannerism and his expertise caring for Phabeni this evening. This little fellow has got a wonderful crew to help him get off to a good start. His bottle feeding is really something. sweet dreams Phabeni💖
When you see how the elephants in the herd are constantly touching one another, it’s painful to think of this baby being alone with no strokes or caresses from his mother. Looks like he’s really appreciating the gentle contact from the carers ❤❤
This baby reminds me of the baby that was rescued before they found our albino princess, unfortunately it didnt survive. I hope this little one makes it. Thank you for saving another precious life❤
I just won't to see what khanyisa is going to do when she sees the baby elephant this is going to be so funny and khanyisa is very spoiled to and jealous this might not go well 🎉😂❤
Actually this lil guy would have been better off with his real mama and his real elephant family in the wild. Family is everything for a baby elephant and being h a matriarch is the highest, most important position in the ellie world is the highest calling. But second best is probably this human family to care for him.
Phabeni has the spirit for life and given time, will be a wonderful handful. Lammie, bless her loving heart, seems to be looking for her own room to sleep.
Phabeni is a precious little elephant. So happy that Herd is always ready to help the little orphans. The care the orphans are getting is extraordinary. Thank you Herd and all the carers.🥰
I'm re-watching this on the occasion of what would've been Phabeni's first birthday had the wee bull made it, Seeing Stavros and hearing Joshua's words of Phabeni's introduction to HERD is so precious. Seeing Phabeni's chasing of Lammie was easier to take as I could picture the future times that Lammie, Spotty and Baby Beni ran together in the garden! Such precious memories. I cried at Joshua's prophetic words "I hope he's going to make it". The joy in Stavros', Joshua's, Tigere's eyes as they watched their new baby's antics (long before Phabeni become Setombe's baby), was priceless. Bless you all for tending to this precious soul so profoundly and with such love. You enriched his life and ours by your kind, paternal stewardship, you enriched our lives by letting us witness it, and you enriched Setombe's life by the drawing forth of her maternal love of Phabeni.

You are already in our hearts and those of the exceptional Team at HERD. 🩵🐘🩵🙏
@@janparish7895That was perfectly said ❤ have a wonderful day!
@@K-D76 Bless you - you too 🐘🩵🙏
Sweet baby...oh my goodness. Thank you, HERD, for giving him the kind care that he needs at this critical time. Thank you doctor for the tender care. I'm crying again. Can't wait for the Pink one to meet him!
@ebillie1181 You're so kind and sweet. Phabeni now has every chance for a long, healthy and fruitful life.
I'm crying with you. The entire HERD team and Dr. Rogers quickly stepped to help this beautiful little Ellie. He looks strong and feisty now. Will love watching him grow just like our little Angel did.
That little boy certainly has a mind of his own. That must be how he survived after being separated from his family. So much love in the room . Wonderful.
Bello il nome Cornelia😊
He's adorable, and Lammie will be a good companion for him. I know he has a long road ahead, but with the dedicated carers at Herd as well as Dr. Rogers, he will be ok. I'm excited to watch him grow into a magnificent bull elephant. 🙂❤️
I look forward to watching this little guy grow up to be a big bull thanks to the good people at Herd
I watch Phabeni’s behavior and wonder, feisty, typical little male behavior, or just excited to be saved and cared for by amazing, loving caregivers. Whatever it is, it is adorably funny. ❤️🐘❤️
Stavros is amazing with him, helping Phanebi feel safe and loved. Prayers for him as he begins his HERD journey!
Thank you Carers!❤. As always, your love and patience shines in a dark world.
You can make out from the creases on his skin that he is severely dehydrated.
Poor chap.
So happy to see he is in such loving and patient hands ❤
The herd has their hands full with this baby. With such good care he is feeling quite frisky. We're all so anxious to watch the coming days.
Lammie wants her baby Rhino back 😊the vet and HERD team are so awesome always.
Thank you so much Joshua and Dr. Roger and Team so many times dr. Rogers have safe Khanyisa and now Phabeni
You are the best in perfect.
Stavros is so patient and kind. Phabeni is ravenous for milk, i hope he had a good warm sleep. Thank you Stavros and lammie, first nights must be full on.. Thanks to Dr Rogers and lourenco too. Dr rogers is amazing. Praying Phabeni makes it and he's back to normal temperature soon 🙏

❤❤❤Спасибо Вам большое!!!! Добрые ЛЮДИ!!! Так трогательно!!!!❤❤❤
I'm so happy that our little man is strong and he isn't shy at all.❤️🥰🐘
I keep thinking that it's such a sacred task to care for little orphaned Phabeni! AMAZING work by Stavros to stay with him --
Phabeni seems to be feeling more comfortable now! -- hoping for his continued improvement 🥰💝🤞
I wish Phabenis Mother & his herd knew that their baby was rescued & ok. And that he ended up with the best possible place & best possible humans to care for him & help him live a happy, long life with his new HERD.
So do I.
Seems like little Phabeni got lost and wandered away from his mother and herd. Thanks for helping him and may you and God help him to start a new life .
Sweet Baby Beni! Considering all this baby boy has been thru in one day...I think he's doing beautiful! As the days pass and his trust grows he will sense the love he's surrounded with I have no doubt....to put him on a path of happiness. I love his fiestiness and strong will. He is utterly a blessing to us all!! Starvros himself is a true blessing to this little one...we cant thank him enough for his heart of gold! Continued prayers for his health to improve...and we ask the Creator to conitnue to hold this sweet baby in his healing and loving grip. Thank you Herd for the footage of baby boys first days at herd! New blankets are in order!
THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH for Adopting Handsome Young Phabeni into the Herd's Family. BLESS ALL.
🙏💙🙏❤️🙏💙
to everyone at Herd and for Phabeni...hopefully, his demeanor and their care will pull him through and he will live a long life alongside Khanyisa and the rest of the family!
We manage, through ignorance, carelessness
and sheer disregard of all others to cause the EXTINCTION of 150 - 200 entire species every WEEK.
Thank you for rescuing this baby 😘 he and Lammie are so precious ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘😘
Lucky boy being at HERD.
At least he is lively. Hope that when allowed he will settle with his new herd.
I just can't help but he proud of him for shoving and complaining. That feisty little spark is just what he needs to keep trying despite his loss. Thank you all for taking care of him.
So happy to be able to contribute small sum for this mighty act. Hope Herd team never gets short of funds. Hod bless them all. God bless Phabeni ❤
Hes a beautiful little baby, but he’s still so very fragile isn’t he? 🥰🥰🐘
It beaks my heart every time a baby elephant is orphaned.
Thank you all for caring for this baby elefants
This baby reminds me of the baby that was rescued before they found our albino princess, unfortunately it didnt survive. I hope this little one makes it. Thank you for saving another precious life❤
Esse bebê está em melhor condução do que Khaniysa quando chegou , ele não está tão machucado , logo logo vai estar andando com a nova família ..
I just won't to see what khanyisa is going to do when she sees the baby elephant this is going to be so funny and khanyisa is very spoiled to and jealous this might not go well 🎉😂❤
That little orphan doesn't really know how good he has it. He will be cared for and pampered for years. Makes me smile.
They say there are angels among us, the people helping these babies elephants are true angels.
Phabeni is a precious little elephant. So happy that Herd is always ready to help the little orphans. The care the orphans are getting is extraordinary. Thank you Herd and all the carers.🥰
So glad there are places babies that are orphaned have a safe place to go!
How we are so blessed to have theses beautiful animals in our lives.lammie is a angel in sheeps clothing.many blessings to you all .
This little guy is all about physical survival right now. He just wants to live, to have a full belly and be warm. He couldn’t be at a better place.
Such kind-hearted and kindness you all are, to make this world a better place to live in. Blessing you all❤❤❤
Поздравляю малыша с приобретением огромной дружной семьи, и желаю прожить ему долгую, полную заботы и любви, счастливую жизнь!🙏❤🐘
I love seeing me and women who love animals and devote their lives to their care. God Bless you. You have no idea how important you are to every animal you help and to the world. the World thanks you!
It is good to have the sheep and young elephant as personal friends.
Love it when humans express God's love to dear animals
It’s so exciting to watch a a new baby elephant grow. Thanks for bringing Phabeni into our lives!
Thank You for saving this sweet.baby elephant . May he live a full life , and never be alone again looking for someone who can help him. Thanks to the person who asked the doctor who could save a baby elli and not let him be put down .😊😊😊😊
Good care you people are giving to these innocent animals
Poor baby, another orphant...thank you everyone for saving this precious life ❤
Lammie is a treasure. Little Phanebi is so cute, and I love his feistiness. For all of you that are working so hard to keep this little boy alive, God bless you.
Phabeni probably feels the need to be feisty. There's no telling how long he's been away from his Mama and his Herd. He feels the need to protect himself. I would also if I were him. Soon he will understand the Love of the carers and also you Adine. And then he will calm down a bit. He is a little boy so who knows. He might always be this way. Nothing wrong with that. Love to Phabeni, the carers, and to you Adine for always being there for our sweet orphans. God will bless you all for your kindness. Love Always Jeanne Jones from North Carolina 🐘❤️❤️❤️❤️
THANK U ALL FOR THE RESCUE OF THIS BABY ELEPHANT
You could see, he already felt safe with Stavros. So wonderful to see, good people do good things. ❤
