Super simple. Just got my tune in the mail today! Keep up the great work IE!
A bit late but how do you like their tune
I love that you're using "Riding the Rail" from Forza 3's soundtrack for your background music :D
I'm glad i wasn't the only forza nerd
Just did this tune in my 2017 golf tsi auto. Went to stage 1 with 93 octane. Man does the car feel good. Insane how nice it feels.
Glad you love it!
Thank you very much!
Is 91 the only octane on this tune or does it also come with a 93 octane tune?
Can you post a link to a battery charger that does exactly what is required during the flashing process?
Question. I have an apr tune ( dealer said s3 but didn’t confirm that yet with the apr distributor/ euro garage ) by my house. However I feel like there’s no trans tune? Is it possible to get and use an IE trans tune ( dsg, I believe I have ) with the apr tune my motor has?? I would switch over completely but I don’t want to go to a lower tune performance wise if it is stage3. It rips and has supporting mods and boost wise I’m up there at like 25 psi. So still need to confirm that. But there’s a few things missing I’d expect it to have if it actually was a stage 3. Anyway I’m rambling, so the trans tune is that possible to run with a different tuner on the motor? Thanks in advance. Super dope you guys have a setup to run tunes from home 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻
Can’t wait!
EEEEK!
Integrated Engineering LLC. I’m gonna be a little kid on Christmas
Once im dome flashing it and i hit finish do i turn the ignition off then start the car or just start the car immediately after im done tuning it
Thank you. This software is also marketed as 034 Motorsport But only this IE "How to" I could find. Much appreciated ;)
The 034 version is a copy.
Thank you.
Hi there, just receive my powerlink adapter yesterday and I am not seeing the correct tune files when I go to tune my car. Only seeing stage 1 and 2 files when I just purchased the K04 tune with the adapter. Emailed support twice but no response still.
If i have intake, throttle body pipe, turbo outlet, and down pipe can I jump to stage 2 ?
I just got mine i have to use the vin in the video ?
Does it work for 2012 Jetta TDI 2.0 with dsg?
Currently trying to install my tune. It was in the middle of installing, then all the sudden said there was an error. Now it's going back to stock without me wanting it/telling it to and it's been on the writing screen for 5 minutes and it isn't even at 50%
I have a golf mk6 gti but i have 270.000 kmh what you recommend to me is safe to make this
My question is about flashing process the ECU if a maintainer or 12v supply ensures that PCM doesn't broke? Or only charger do it?
So no Mac can be use? Only windows software?
Will this work on a surface go 3?
when going to stage 1 with no hardware upgrades, is the DSG tune necessary as well? do i have to do the DSG tune AND the ECU tune or can i just do the ECU tune to stage 1?
Dsg tune is a must because the clutches will wear out quicker and you won’t get all the torque as specified by the tuner. ✌🏽
Hello. Just tried to flash but getting an error saying “couldn’t start extended session with drivetrain”. Has anybody else had this and how did they fix it?
I can only download the drivers, it's not showing any software downloads. Is this because the system I'm using doesn't have the correct specs? Trying to figure this out before I buy a new laptop just for this.
Do i need to be connected to the internet during the actual flashing process?
No, not exactly. You will at first, but the cable actually downloads the tune to your hard drive for the flash. This is to make sure that if you have a weak signal or if the internet disconnects, the ECU cannot be harmed.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but if my buddy and I both have the same car type can we split the cost of one of these and use it for both cars?
no. you can split the price of cable. each cable can register up to 5 VINs. you'll need 2 different tune purchases though.
I have a 12V 10A charger. There is a charging mode and a power supply mode, which would be best? Also in power supply mode where would I connect it to the car?
Charging mode would be best. Connect it directly to the battery.
Is there macOS support?
Will this tune work with a 2016 Audi A5 Quattro sportback?
Go to their website ffs
any luck for European distributor?
Would a battery charger/maintainer with a manual setting be better than an automatic only one? 10 Amp in manual mode right before you start? I've heard people online saying the smart chargers will do the wrong thing at the wrong time. I've purchased the tune and cable from you, but am worried about bricking the ecu. Do not want to do that. Nope.
Ideally, you'll want to use a manual battery CHARGER, not a maintainer because most maintainers don't put out enough amps. Some "smart" chargers can turn off during the process which obviously isn't the best. So you'll want a manual charger that puts out at least 10amps and holds you right around 12.6volts during the flashing process
@@IEtuned Would this be ok? I know it says charger and maintainer but it has a manual mode in addition to automatic and is 10 AMPS. www.amazon.com/Battery-Maintainer-Automatic-Automotive-Motorcycle/dp/B08M45NBSC/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=car+battery+charger+constant&qid=1618787989&sr=8-5
Why isn’t the crackle tune loaded on here ?
Im about to tune my car tomorrow but was wondering how would it know I purchased the stg 1 tune? Based off the Dongle info? Or how would it know?
Credits are added via your POWERlink serial number.
Thank you everything went swell and loving the tune
So we need to buy the powerlink the first time we get a tune?
Yes
Mine didn’t make me turn the key off and back on it said if I need to flash anymore computers to turn on and off. Is this normal
Is the cable necessary when tuning your car or can I use other equipment?
The cable is necessary as it is the only device capable of delivering our tunes.
Once I get supporting mods how much does it cost to switch from stage 1 to stage 2 plus
Just the difference in the tunes
So mine doesn’t show turn the ignition off.. I’m at 45% (let’s hope I’m not f-ing it up…) I believe I have v4 obd plug and is38 93 oct v1.5 nap.
Any way to lower the amount of pops and bangs it gives out or any way to toggle pops and bangs without having to reflash it
Are you stage 1 or 2?
@@zeeb2014 im Running the stage 2 map
is there a crackle tune as an option with a stage 2 tune?
Depends on the platform. You can head over to our site Performancebyie.com and enter your year, make, and model. Then go to tunes and select the tune. On that page you will see all the options and features for the tune you selected.
No 93 octane tune?
Looks cool. So you can easily swap back stock for smog purposes?
You can swap back to stock tuning at any time.
@@IEtuned will swapping back to stock tune throw any codes when bringing an Audi A4 back to dealer for service?
How does the data logging work a video on that would be wicked nice
Yes please! or at least a manual or guide or something not sure how these companies get away with not giving simple directions they must love getting calls from annoying customers

How much power would i make for stage 2 2008 audi tt 2.0t fsi ? Specs are not online
BABY R8 I asked the same question and they emailed me saying to look at MK5 gti as it's apparently the same engine as our TT's
Hey, you can check out dyno graphs here:
www.performancebyie.com/ie-8j-tt-fsi-tunes
i dont have a battery charger. Could i just connect jumper cables ?
If you can buy this tune, you can buy a battery charger
hey guys, any numbers on 0-100 and 1/4 miles after the stage 1 tune on the ea888 gen 3 2.0t Quattro? I have a b9 a4 thinking to do it thanks
Hey there! We do not have any numbers on 0-100 or 1/4 mile times because there are a lot of outside factors that can affect the times. Surface prep, tires used, weather, and fuel used can all play a part.
@@IEtuned thank you bro. I’m in Australia here we use 95 / 98 so any numbers gain after flash? Now stock its 252hp and 370 nm.cheers mate
Now I’m assuming you sell the cable and the tune via online? Or is the cable not sold by you?
Yes, you can purchase both together at performancebyie.com
What happens if I don’t have a battery charger? Could I hook up the car to another vehicle using jumper cables?
no it’ll mess it ecu up so ur car won’t turn on or anything it’ll just sit there forever unless u take it to the dealer where u got it from and hope u have warranty
How long does the tune take to be exact?
Hey Kiansvids, it usually takes about 30 minutes or less.
I already have a tool to flash the car thru the obd port, do I seriously need to buy the IE POWERlink cable??
Yes, Sir. Other OBD cables cannot connect to our tuning server.
do i need seprate ie power link for seperate car? or just one is enough?
One cable can flash up to 5 VINs. :)
@@IEtuned thanks for the answer
Jz order hope all worth it
If I tune for 91 is it ok to use 93?
It wont hurt. Just dont use 91 if tuned for 93
Has anybody had any issues with IE's tuning software? I'm unable to use my credits to tune my engine. I have enough credits to tune both the Ecu and Tcu but only the Tcu has a drop down arrow. Any help would would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Sort of have a similar problem, no credits are showing up it just gives me two buttons to buy the credits but it's all already paid for. You ever get it worked out?

@@p2c940 Yeah bud, they didn’t have one out then they had to create a custom one for my box code
At 1:05 we have to hook up a battery charger? Or the way the car is hooked up already is fine?
If the car's battery was to lose power during a flash, the ECU would crash and "brick it". At that point it would have to be sent in to be recovered. This is why we recommend a battery charger to ensure there is no chance of losing power to the ECU.
Integrated Engineering LLC. Thank you! You guys rock!
Does it have to be a specific charger? Thanks. Looking at a Stage 1 for the 2.5.
No, any brand battery charger will work just fine as long as it has the ability to constant charge a car battery.
@@IEtuned can I connect it to another car as if I'm jumping it?
I live in Texas and we have 93 octane here. My 2013 Q5 3.0t also recommends 93. Would I still select the 91 octane tune?

What if I only have MacBooks in the house. Can I still install the tune??
The software is not Mac OSX compatible at this time. You will need to either run a dual boot or pick up a cheap Windows & or newer OS tablet, it just needs to have a USB port. They can be found for very inexpensive and can be nice to have in the car. Alternatively, you can use someone else's laptop or check to see if an IE dealer is local to you.
Integrated Engineering LLC. Thanks
Can you connect your battery to another running car battery?
im wondering did you do this?
Kiansvids yeah you can do that ... I was also told that it’s just a safety thing , if your car and battery is new you shouldn’t have a problem just doing it . But it doesn’t hurt to be safe. I just connected it to another car .
If my friend had a cable but it’s registered to his car does that mean the dongle can’t be used on my car🤔
I think so.
How about 92 octane ? Here in Portland. You guys have a tune for Audi TT .
For the rare places with 92, run the 91 octane file. The difference is very, very minimal and there is enough overhead in the tune to take advantage of the 1 octane bump.
@@IEtunedthank you,
I have a 2017 Audi TT if I will tune my car and then back to stock the dealer will know? And going back to stock is free?
@@oviss5946 There is ways for a dealership to know if you tuned your car, even if you tune back to stock. We do not advertise these as warranty safe. You can tune to stock and back as much as you like at no cost, yes.

I'm looking to get into tuning but know very little. Is IE a plug and play tool or do you need additional parts?
Depends on the tune. They have recommended and required parts. Their website says it all
If you purchase stage 1 for the 600$, is it another 600$ for stage 2 or do you already get it?
You only pay the difference in tune cost to upgrade. So if Stage 1 is 400 and Stage 2 is 450 and you want to upgrade to Stage 2 later, you only pay the 50.00 difference. There is no upgrade fee or extra costs.
Integrated Engineering LLC. If I buy the K04 tune would I be able to use the Stage 1 and Stage 2 tune?
Do you have a tune for the 2006 Jetta 2.5L?
Hi Adrian, we do. You can find that tune here. Verify that yours is compatible by viewing the vehicle fitment section at the bottom of this page. performancebyie.com/collections/ecu-software-tunes/products/ie-ecu-tune-vw-25l-5cyl

Right now, the Flash-Wizard software requires Windows 7 or newer. So you can dual boot your Mac with Windows, or, as most of our Mac owning customers do... purchase an inexpensive Windows Tablet (must have a USB port). Just one question, how do I connect my car to the battery charger? Because I don’t have one. Do I really need to buy one first? Or is it doable without the charger?
And if so, do I then connect my car to the charger while the power cables from the battery to my care are connected or do I need to disconnect them?
Yes you will need a battery charger. There are several good choices on sites like Amazon. Get one that will maintain the vehicle at 12.6 volts and puts out at least 10amps. You will not want to flash without one as you can potentially brick the ECU if voltage drops too low. And yes, when flashing, you will connect the powerlink to the vehicle at the same time as the charger is connected. You will leave the charged connected to the car during the entirety of the flashing process.
@@IEtuned Thank you for the reply! I’ve ordered the software yesterday and it got through. Only I’ve just recently received that the order has been cancelled. I’ve e-mailed you guys, has it anything to do with the software sales in March?

My pro surface 3 tablet works great with it as well. After the initial flash you can use the new app to flash new files. I think periodically you have to update it on your laptop or tablet so it has the updated tunes stored on the obd2 dongle.
Pretty much cobb accessport, nothing to do with tuning the car yourself

No, you can flash up to 5 different VINs on one cable. The tune once flashed is locked to one car.

😮😮😮 you making me want to go and buy one 😂😂
Can I leave my obd2 plugged in after I'm done? Or will it drain battery
You can leave the Powerlink plugged in if you'd like when it's not on. It shouldn't cause any issues. But it's best practice to only have it plugged in when actively flashing or logging.
