One of my new favorite things to do lately... Cake 1 weight yarn that changes color. Then when working with it I pull from inside and outside holding them togther. It makes cool marbley color changes.🤗💖
I love doing that. You can also do colorwork designs the same way. Work from both ends (different colors) and do a bit of practice. I did that with some Caron cakes
There is something about the obsessing for a bit that completes the process. So why did I need 4 of the colors I chose? Also, did I miss some I’ll regret missing?

Daughter just messaged me a pic someone posted of a couple laundry baskets of yarn in a car seat. Poster asked if it was too much yarn for a 3 day camping trip. 😅
I was doing so well holding off buying for the yarn festival we have coming up but then a really good deal on some fingering weight merino got me. I am so weak! 😂
I’m participating in a yarn crawl tomorrow. Meeting for breakfast and going to a few yarn stores, throw in a lunch and it’s an all day event. I better bring some spending money

I can’t remember talking about a Halloween knit along (I don’t usually celebrate Halloween). I’m wanting to do the Crochet Cat blanket Jan and Laura are putting on for camp Boggy Creek though. Hooker versus Hooker this month are Halloween colors and Halloween theme, that might be what you are looking for.
You are not alone on the fingering weight purchasing issue.... I have acquired a "bit." And recently it's been lots of cotton fingering weight, I live the desert so...... But then there's working through all the acrylic worsted weight, yep boggy creek blankets. There have been some really good sales this past year, lol.
That yarn is very pretty. You could still make it a boyfriend sweater from time to time 😂 i picked up some pretty yarns on the yarn crawl. I so want to use them. Have to come up with a pattern. Have my malabrigo caked up for the upcoming KAL. Missed the premier sale 😢 love fingering weight yarn.
@@melindahayward8316 Yes, went with a couple friends and covered them all over the weekend. You got a cute tin to put all your markets in at the final store.
I also got sucked into the premier sale and broke my 2 month+ streak of not buying yarn. There is something about the phrase “final day of sale” that triggers FOMO!

Thankfully we have not been effected by the fires. We’ve gotten smoke/haze though

I prefer the fingering weight as well. There's something about the fine yarn going through my fingers that feels better than the heavier ones.

There have been some really nice fingering weight yarns too. They are so easy to store, don’t take a lot of room and are so pretty

When you weigh your yarn. You don’t get the true weight of yarn you own. Label weight doesn’t count as stash. Just saying.
