Nice to see the Frontier Union fleet showing such professionalism. It’s easy to look at the lore and think of them as a mix of pirates and “civilians in uniforms”.
Tbh the Frontier Union wants to give off an air of unprofessionalism so their enemies underestimate them, as well as using aggressive tactics that look at first glance like simple suicide rushes. They know they couldn’t win a war of attrition so they wanted a quick bloodless rush to seize core assembly systems, unfortunately for them they had radicals like Hakim who didn’t just want freedom but to completely destroy the assembly so he brutalized the Axius system using Abescale to force the Assembly and the Union into a prolonged war that the Union ultimately lost.
Yep, I am definitely up for helping make a soujourn ship mod for Nebulous Fleet Command. It will be perfect for the large scale update that eventually will come down the line eventually.
Perhaps 1. It’s because the rear engines are likely more powerful than the frontal ones, or 2. It’s to help it enter formation with the other ships, or a combination
The front engines are used for maneuvering and aren’t good for prolonged burns. That’s why the merchantman that Abescale uses is modified to have two front facing engines, otherwise it’d have very limited maneuverability in combat. It’s best seen in the video about the Indria class outrider.
As cool and all as the Centrum Assembly is, my support will always go to the nation which kept itself alive for 200 years with severe governmental neglect, then rose en masse against that government and, through piracy and famine, took its independence from the dominant power of the Cluster despite enormous logistical and organizational inferiority. Amal-Karah!
@@BlandSpagetti You sure? Because I count two blocky ones and five ones with more skeletal frames. I'm pretty sure those are the Indrias and Florencias respectively.
@@LordCommander-ui2fwFlorencia is a refitted CDF ship in design, thus they have a more cohesive blocky single hull design. Meanwhile Indria is a homebrew vessel that is more freestyling cheap vessel so it is alot more skeletal and longer. By those details, thats 2 Florencias and 5 indrias
I got an idea here. Levelcapgaming is making a space game based close to real physics but they lack lore i believe. Maybe work together? Hope this grows. 🤗☕
@ElijahSmith-rq4sj My first thought was the same but then I saw that it is the fancy-advanced ships not base models like the Florencia-class. They have grav-plates so I found it strange.
@@heraadrian7764 they are union vessels regardless, so gravitic plating is much less powerful than that on a CDF ship. Regardless of that, the stressors of firing retrograde engines alongside the awkwardness of suddenly having your crew on the ceiling leaves retros solely for combat usage
One thing that might make this look even better is the spread of the thruster flame. I’ve gathered you’re going for a bit of realism. A great reference would be the SpaceX rockets when they reach extremely thing or near zero atmosphere. The flame spreads out greatly. Just an idea! The animation looks fantastic either way

It’s hard to be biased for one side when both the CDF and the Frontier Union are so damn cool!
Goddamn this is cool. Never ceases to be so.
0:21 dont think I didn’t hear that hint of Grey Stablemaid playing! Nice touch.
Listen to „Unbreakable Union“ the melody of Grey Stablemaid is the Frontier Unions Leitmotif

Love these shorts. Hopefully get a lore video on that ship though!
That was beautiful. The animation, cinematography, music - absolutely excellent. Definitely looking forward to more!
god the instrumental references to Grey Stablemaid always give me chills! Can't wait to see more!!
The quality is fantastic and looks so much like clips I’ve seen of the shuttle maneuvering that I am almost nostalgic
Hauntingly beautiful, looking forward to whatever you are cooking.
NEED MORE... NEED SOJOURN LIVE ACTION SERIES..!! Yes, all caps for a reason..!!
I love that you have forward-facing engines and vecture thrust.
Those animations are really top tier. Even the little lens flare (or whatever it's called) on the engine exhaust! Love those details!
Absolutely gorgeous again.
Need a full animated The Sojourn show

I’m actually starting to wonder if that’s the Abigail, since the theme used is the same
Why does the ship have to do a flip around if there are both forward and rearward facing engines nozzles?
Perhaps 1. It’s because the rear engines are likely more powerful than the frontal ones, or 2. It’s to help it enter formation with the other ships, or a combination
I would expect it helps with trust gravity, since with flip around you keep the gravity in same direction and the drift plating gravity isn´t needed.

majestic

That was very pretty. Thank you.
Excellent work. And an impressive battlegroup; I count 2 Indrias and five Florencias in addition to the Allesiah.
Your numbers are reversed for the outriders
@@BlandSpagetti You sure? Because I count two blocky ones and five ones with more skeletal frames. I'm pretty sure those are the Indrias and Florencias respectively.
they are reversed: Florencias are the ones derived from the Linford island class, and are overall small than Indrias

Why not use the forward thrusters to decelerate? Are they only for show or what?
Solely for combat use.

Where's that video on the Alessiah class crew ?!
Why the flip?, i mean: the ship has forward thrusters, same as backwards ones
Thrust gravity. The forward drives are for combat use only.
@@youtubepleb I'll buy it, I'm ignorant of the ship doctrine.
