- The stall founder Mr Tay Yong Heng started selling curry noodles from a push cart along Synagogue Street in 1960s. He shifted to the current premise at Hong Lim Food Centre in 1979.
Committed to keeping to the family's five-decade-old traditional recipe, the current second generation successor fries his own rempah (spice mixture), a crucial ingredient that makes the curry unique and flavourful.
Curry is served on top of noodles with blanched chicken, tau pok, fish cake, potato and beansprouts. Chicken is tender, and the sponge-like tau pok soaks up and bursts with thick curry broth!

I ate at this stall since young. The father's cooking is much better but the son's cooking has improved over the years. I do prefer this stall as compared to the one on the second level..

They curry chicken alway sold out befor 1 pm alway a big ( q ) no matter there is a mic stall on lever 2 selling curry chicken they still have their own customer i like this stall better

Tried this Ah Heng and the second level curry mee few times when I was in SG...Both is great but different..Some ppl complaints is expensive,until you try to cook it at home....I rather pay for it...

Was good but Q gets longer, prices go up and quality comes down. Q long because the owner couldn't afford helpers. The old lady is the poor mother.. there is a better one upstairs.

不一样,本地有两种。Hi there! Unlike the typical curry chicken we usually see, the chicken here is boiled, sliced and then added on top of noodles. After that, the curry sauce is poured over the chicken and noodles. This is for us to taste the original tastes of the curry sauce and chicken slices!
