SINGAPORE - Welcome to Little India in Singapore and today we’re going on a food tour to eat some delicious Indian food - from some of the best chapatis and curry to a full banana leaf meal spread, to the best Indian hawker center street food court I can’t wait to take you on this amazing food tour.
There’s no doubt Singapore is home to an abundance of delicious Indian food - from street food to restaurants. And one of the best places to get started eating Indian food is within Singapore’s vibrant Little India. Here are the places I included in this video:
Azmi Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/AgvgMN1LGom1spAL6) Total price - $19 SGD ($13.87 USD) - You really come here to eat chapati along with tasty accompanying dishes. I had the keema, chicken masala, chickpeas, okra, and chicken fry, all of which was extremely delicious.
Neha Tiffin Centre - Tekka Centre, Singapore - Price - $2 SGD ($1.46 USD) - Unfortunately the place I had really wanted to go to try Indian style fried noodles was closed for the day. So I noticed many people eating dosa from a number of stalls - so that’s what I decided to try. At just $2 it’s one of the most affordable small meals in Singapore. Not the best dosa I’ve had, but overall quite good.
Shifa Drinks Corner - Tekka Centre, Singapore - While eating at Tekka Centre, I met the friendly guys from Shifa Drinks Corner who made a fresh sugar cane juice for me and wouldn’t accept payment. Please go support them when you’re here!
Gandhi Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/14M1gXffK9ArB8JC6) Little India, Singapore - Total price for 2 people - $29 SGD ($21.17 USD) - Finally to complete this Indian street food tour in Little India Singapore we went for a huge South Indian rice and curry meal at Gandhi Restaurant. I tried the yellow rice, chicken masala, fish fry, and a variety of other additional vegetable sides. Food was delicious, and it’s quite a popular place.
Again, Singapore has authentic and extremely delicious Indian food and this is just a start to all the delicious places to try!

Hi Mark, I’m Singaporean and I just want to say a huge thank you for featuring Little India. I’m not sure if you’re aware, but Little India was one of the worst hit areas in terms of footfall and business during the pandemic in the last few years. With migrant workers not being allowed to go out of their dorms during the weekends, business declined badly and quickly. So this may have been unintentional, but thank you for featuring the vibrant Little India in your first food vlog of Singapore!
I will be in Singapore in two months. Do you have any other must eat places in little India?
Thank you for sharing Jeremy, and appreciate your amazing support!
The plandemic was a hoax to get people in captivity. Never again!!!!!
Little india feels more like india than singapore unfortunately. The only singaporean feeling about little india is the highly priced food sold there. If u wanna eat good indian food, head to india and not singapore 😊
👍👍👍
Mark, I truly believe that indulging in the many succulent foods created by different cultures around the globe is an integral part of the quest for world peace. You are an extraordinary ambassador. With love and respect, Carol from NC, USA
I like how mark eats his food in Indian style.
So down to earth and practical.
Exactly....
although he has been advised by many viewers, he still hasnt learnt to take small bites :) Eats massive bites and messy like someone is about to steal his lunch
Wah, never knew Indian food looks and tastes so fantastic with Mark Wiens. He makes it look so yummy. Well done!
its 0.001% of indian food search on youtube many foreign blogger made video on that with 20million views.
It's been so long from my last Indian curry that my mouth watered
Unfortunately I have confined to my house and cannot get it sent
The Indian man behind you eating with one hand busy with eating and another folded upwards is so reminiscent of how the culture is. That’s what I see when I go to traditional Indian restaurants too and it’s incorporated in the culture. Just beautiful!
Appreciate your support and appreciation
As a Singaporean studying and living overseas, this made me real homesick 😂😭 Thank you for visiting and showcasing our culture! Can't wait to see what else you got up to

We moved to Singapore during Covid and finally things are open and I had no idea what to explore first food wise! So happy you’re here to show me 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I truly appreciate someone who is showing the food markets and stalls and truly indulging and not over thinking the calories or the healthier aspect... just really enjoying the moment. I do this on vacation, but a lot of the videos I see are people over thinking these things and not really in the moment... also I can't wait to visit little India!!

i could definitely imagine the satisfaction you get after drinking that sugarcane drink, as it is so humid in Singapore! great stuff mark! Thanks for showing a little of Singapore’s culture to the world!
I have had sugar cane drink freshly squeezed from sugar cane itself in Lahore Pakistan many times growing up there. I really miss it in USA.
One best part of you is I have never seen you wasting food ... You finish everything what you order and that's such a great thing... ❤️
My cousin brother is stayed in Singapore now I know why he's not comeback Singapore is fantastic 💞💞 👍🏼
Looking forward, Mark, great video. I am heading there soon. Love from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Welcome back to Singapore, Mark! Thanks for featuring our local food in your videos and absolutely love your reviews. Hope you enjoyed your stay back in Singapore!
Thank you very much Elias!
@@MarkWiens great video as usual.
Although i must say. It seems like your trying way too hard to say chapati as many times as possible. And the overpronouncing of the word chipati with the roller "R's" gets very tiring. Like a child thats learned their first word. If a Indian talked to you in their accent; then suddenly said just one word that was trying way too hard to say an english word like dictionary. Youd think they were weirdos.
Welcome back to Singapore Mark!
I hope you have an fantastic time in this food haven.
Thank you!
I absolutely love seeing food lovers really enjoying what they are eating, the pure joy on your face as you eat is quality! You really bring along the viewers for the ride!
Love Marks energy and appreciation for the food and culture whereever he goes :)
I am only half into this video, and I because of it, I really want to travel to Singapore again very soon ! Also, I just love how positive and down to earth you are Mark, like when you thanked the owner of the fruit juice store several times for offering you a free juice.

Wow I love the Gandhi Restaurant concept with sitting down getting a base tray and then being able to choose the rest from the table! And delicious looking

🙂 Mark, Thank you for helping me recall the happiest days of my life living in a vibrant, friendly, safe & clean, multi-cultural Singapore.
Cheers from Australia to my friends, former colleagues & students at the British C.E.L. Centres in Collyer Quay & Napier Road. Wishing you all peace & joy wherever you are. Delicious, sweet, sunny & warm memories indeed! ❤️
Singapore seems like a place I can live in. Never really knew much about it till now. Thanks Mark.
You would live to live there. But it is the most expensive city in the world. However food can be very reasonable as you see!
Thanks Mark for coming to Singapore! I hope you have a blessed and wonderful food experience like every Singaporean always have! Please enjoy the local foods!

Mark, The man that gave you the sugarcane juice was very nice. If I ever make it to Singapore I’m for sure going to go over there and support his business. Take care. Love your videos

That food looks so yummy...and Mark never disappoints, i love the video...in my Country we make our Chapati with oil
Singapore and Japan has the best food in the world. You can literally go anywhere and it will be good.
The staggering skill of the chefs, the freshness of the ingredients, the artistry, the finesse, the precision and the passion……
The fact that a food blogger finishes the meal right in front of camera tells us how genuinely delicious it must be. Love the way you describe it and eat with your hands!!
OMG you're back in Singapore!! Been watching your food adventures! WELCOME BACK!!!!
The best thing about all of your videos is the culture. Life style. Food brings anyone together but you actually prove it via video. You are the man Dude!
One of the wonder of the world is that I have been watching Mark's videos for years and it seems he never change his body mass, not bigger and not smaller, despite all the big amount of foods he ate. How? Could you have a magnanimous metabolism for food?
When MARK says 'wow' I also started to love that food 😍
Hi Mark, I spent a lot of time in Malaysia and Singapore during my teenage days and your video made me so homesick!!! The pandemic has changed things around so much but I can't wait to go visit Singapore again!!! Also, how are you able to eat so much and stay so fit?? 😀
A real satisfaction and enjoyment just watching you eat. Just love the mutton curry in any Indian restaurant, real tender, full of spicy flavors and absolutely delicious. Singapore is indeed a food paradise for all the different cultures.
Singapore is so diverse, it’s a food haven. Love it!!!
My husband & I have never been to Singapore (you don’t really count the 2 hours layover at the airport while waiting for a flight heading to Phuket) and are now itching to go just for the food! Thanks so much for sharing this awesome video! We so enjoyed watching this 😊
Singapore is known to be both the Glutton’s Paradise and the Gourmet’s Paradise. For good reason: the local food is the best in the world, but you’ll find the best of international fine dining there too. No lie. And of course you can also find what we don’t want - McDonald’s and the like!
Enjoy your trip!
Indian street food tours are my favorite! But I just finished your Senegal food tour and I think I have a new favorite.
Hey mark! Im a singaporean! And im happy and proud that u came to singapore.. enjoyed the food... happy to have u back here again sometime and taste alot of other different food around singapore!☺️☺️
I just love how mark immerses himself in each culture..another great video!
I LOVE the way you explore along with your wife Ying and Micah. Such a beautiful life❤️ I adore your videos!!
I can taste them. So much fresh things! I can really taste them!!!! You explain the taste so well! Thank you Thank you!
The Malaysian guy who bought you a tea is such a kind person. Malaysian hospitality even in Singapore!
Nah he's only being kind so that he could end up in the video. Malaysians are the most two-face hypocrites out there.
I just love how Mark stays focused on enjoying the food and loving life and is therefore oblivious to the efforts of the gentleman at the table behind him who is so obviously trying to create an issue from 5:18 until 8:05. Keep smiling!
I first thought he took offence at
being filmed.

Hey Mark. Singapore looks like a beautiful place. I just want to thank you for sharing all the amazing food videos you do from around the world. I love how you share they're culture as well. I'll say this. I'm a huge fan of curry
Love the people in Singapore and Malaysia. Very helpful and humble. Interesting the way all the cultures blend in with each other - Malay, Chinese and Indians without taking away their own identity. Do try some of the other traditional food as well. Also, as an Indian always happy that Mark gravitates towards Indian food whenever he can. Personally love Indian and Chinese cuisine. 💕
Not the Chinese Singaporeans tho
@@zhinkunakur4751 don't generalize pls
@@teven107 ofc my bad , but i have seen way more than average percentage of reports of chinese - singaporean abuse to Indians living over there
@@zhinkunakur4751 The problem with the world today is exactly narrow minded ppl like you who like to cherrypick the bad apples and form judgement based on it.
@@zhinkunakur4751 Imagine if we change the race in your statement to Indian Singaporeans. Talking bad abt Indians based on bad apples would've been considered racist. Not to mention u clearly dont understand statistics whereby obviously in any country u will obviously "see" more bad apples in the majority race. Literally basic probability.

It is so gracious of a complete stranger to offer a drink while filming a food vlog. This is real kindness without asking for. It is even more wonderful to know that he is not a local. Malaysians are always hospitable.
