When she said "It's only been 6 years" that really hit me. Because you have a lot of these women who were married to famous musicians, who get remarried within months of them passing away. Iman really REALLY adores David right up to this day. I think that's beautiful

It's kind of sad she has been in mourning so long but also beautiful that she loved someone so deeply. As a Bowie fan it hurts extra hard that such a beautiful man found someone that truly matched him.

Give me names of these various women and explain to me why do you feel entitled to judge other people? Stevie Nicks wonderfully explained how grief makes people do weird things. If I die before my love, I don't want him to be alone. Iman is beautiful and wonderful but everybody lives a different life. No need to judge them.

She really loves her husband. She's still crying inside. She experienced true love. That doesn't come around everyday.

Thanks. My husband of 34 years died suddenly 10 months after David Bowie. I know exactly what she means. I feel my husband is still with me, I think of him constantly all day long and I dream about him. I hope I will see him again. I think I will. And just as she said I am not open to another relationship because I feel like I am still married. Martin Short lost his wife 10 years ago. He says he still feels like he’s married. That’s how it is.

Had the great fortune to interview David Bowie back in '99. My producer told me that Iman had a new show on TV, so I mentioned it late in the chat, and his face lit up like it was Christmas. Very nice man, too.

I was lucky too. 26 yrs with my soulmate and he passed away from cancer at the age of 54 just 7 months ago. I know how she feels…he’s still my husband. He was a musician so I’m lucky to have his recordings. And I hope to see him again. 💙💙

I have experienced ‘near death experiences’ with family members and friends when they were close to death……..
Also ask any good nurse who works with those who are dying and their loved ones the stories are all very similar ………

You can see it in her eyes. In all the photos since David Bowie died there’s been a deep sorrow in her eyes. ❤
Yes it's true.... when she said at the end she hoped she'd see him again but didn't know.... it made me emotional - you could see so obviously the sorrow in her. I'm sure Huda wanted to give her a hug. She looks very vulnerable though she was trying to put on a brave front.

what she said is true, i lost my wife 4 years ago & still think of her every minute of every day & quite frankly wouldn't want it any other way, Yes there are time when i am "ambushed2 by a grief surge but mostly i am just thankful for the time we had together & how lucky i was to meet her
It's been 12 years for me and I still miss him every day. He promised he would never leave me and I can still feel him here sometimes. Sounds crazy, until you've experienced it.
Imam is such a precious gem, i didnt and dont know them personally, but i am sure they had that, something special, kind of love. Deep, intimate and fun. They had it and that would be so hard to mourn. God bless you Imam.

My beautiful husband died just over 3 years ago and I feel exactly the same as Iman. He was the love of my life and I think of him every single day and wish he was here with me. We had a deep, true love that I will be forever grateful for. I, too, hope to see him again.

I've just very recently become a massive fan of his but even at the time it affected me. Now I can't stop tearing up whenever I think about him not being here anymore. He was just such a powerful life force and miracle of a human being, it just doesn't make sense that someone like that could simply vanish. I don't believe in god or the afterlife, but because of him I truly hope and wish that there could be such a thing.
Mandy I totally respect your beliefs. I wish I could tell you my experiences. There’s just not enough room. Aside from that we are energy. Energy doesn’t die but it changes space. I remember where I was when I heard David died. I still cry to this day. They have a love not many get. She’s truly amazing. ☮️♥️🕊
Nothing, and no one, ever vanishes. We may think of it as vanishing, but it is transformation. We all, everyone and everything, are energy. Energy never dies, it flows, it expands, it transforms. Souls are eternal. As is Love, the sublime and omnipotent (and hence naturally omnipresent) energy of/from which we all originate.
It may sound simplistic, and it may sound of wishful thinking.
I dunno what to say about that, but that Love is simultaneously simple and divine.
I've always perceived David Bowie to be a down to earth spiritual being, and Iman seems like that as well.
That the two of them found each other and shared a good part of their lives here on earth, is just wonderful.
Knowing that they had their relationship gladdens one's heart, and helps one cope with his passing, to a certain extent...
And I don't think their togetherness necessarily has ended. The term "soulmate" came so effortlessly to mind whenever one beheld these two, their love for each other being so easy and obvious.
David was truly one of a kind as a human being, giving countless of us more than we can ever describe (I know, I have tried, and so have so many of us!). One of a kind and genuine, an unique and genius artist, with a truly unique physical beauty.
And David is a beautiful soul

I have loved DB, his music and creativity since childhood. "Let's Dance" blew me away and addicted me for life. My Mother loves him too. She saw him early in his career, and I saw him on his last full tour. And I have always admired and loved Iman. I miss him so much...My heart breaks for Iman and their daughter Lexi. Recently becoming a massive fan of artists from the past is the best discovery of all because not only do you discover something amazing but you’re rewarded with decades of creative talent to delve into and unravel. I did the same thing myself with Echo and the Bunnymen and Dirk Bogarde.
I was already a Bowie nut, he got me in 1979 with Boys Keep Swinging.
She says she was lucky to have found him, but he was definitely lucky to have found her!

It's nice to know there's another woman out there who feels the way I do. You are absolutely right my husband also died but he died in 2021 and my kids will saying my late father this or whatever and I can't because I'm still his wife to the day I die. I I'm not able to let go because I loved him so much and everything reminds me strictly of him. You're also right about the sunset it was also my husband's favorite time. I pray for you every day because I know your struggle and again I thank you because sometimes I feel alone in this world, because most people don't understand how I feel. David was a wonderful man, a fantastic singer and actor and I always wanted to go to a concert but I never could. May God grant you strength encourage you are a lovely lady
