The only thing i find funny is during the last mission and Soap's death, Price says "one KIA" and completely ignores his other dead SAS mates who were defending him and soap

Hey remember when Yuri defected from Zacheiv’s organization because he thought makarov was too extreme and even tried stopping no Russian before joining 141? Now he’s just basic military commander that give intel to laswell.
They also made him look like the naked mole rat from Kim possible and took away any ounce of personality he had. Also, let’s not forget this mission was pure filler 💀💀
The 'No Russian' mission becomes so much worse if you use logic. 1)We have footage of one of the most wanted terrorist(Makarov) boarding a plane that blows up later. 2)The goons in the plane literally used flashbangs in the plane, how the hell did the other cabins not notice this?? 3)Makarov escapes from the plane by opening the plane door... Which is recorded by the plane's black box. 4)Next Mission,We play as Farah to clean up the data from phones that are somehow intact from a bloody plane crash. SHE THEN ERASES DATA FROM THE BLACK BOX WHICH HAS EVIDENCE ABOUT THE PLANE DOOR OPENING.
Yeah, I just.. why??? Why would they ruin one of the most CONTROVERSIAL AND DEVASTATING MISSIONS, a mission where the player has to PARTICIPATE IN A LITERAL MASSACRE AND IS FORCED TO WATCH EVERY SINGLE THING.. But no, they decided to dumb it down where it takes place on a plane, with very low stakes, you can’t even shoot any of the civilians which was THE POINT OF THE NO RUSSIAN MISSION
that is actually a part of every call of duty since first modern warfare maps are connected by dialog and nothing else every mission has it's gimmick even original massacre was lacking because makarov's men can die and makarov says "he's dead leave him" yet game still pulls only allen's death but yes this entire thing in modern modern warfare 3 is so retarded it can't run through a cargo ship solo in less than 60 seconds
Probably one of the worst missions because it's spits on the OGs No Russian, and overall is a poor experience tied to a very poor "Open world" mission.
Multiple black ops campaigns have had multiple endings based on your actions. Bo2 being one of the best examples which had many different endings. Black ops cold war also has multiple endings.
Bro idk how. This is the first cod I skipped in 18 years. I tried getting so many to skip it. But they're too deeply brainwashed. " just give it a chance"
I honestly refuse to believe that. This game got nothing but bad press from even some of the more notorious gaming outlets like IGN, barely anyone I know even bought the game, nor has there been a ton of positivity surrounding the game in general. I know the CoD casuals are always gonna be there but if this really was the second highest selling game of the year then there really is no hope for them and we’ll just have to keep hearing about the newest CoD every damn year
People do not buy games like that. Best selling could just mean 100k-1 million (0.014% max of the entire population) sold titles. That’s a small amount of people buying video games yearly
What piss me off is the fact that they had a great chance for this new universe to write a unforgettable and amazing story But they destroy it all with this god awful campaign
mw 2019's campaign was incredible. they've sidelined alex, one of their most compelling characters in years, and written julian kostov's makarov as too safe. real, real shame

@@DrkTheNewGuy You ever played Deep Rock Galactic? I swear to god, DRG is SUCH a breath of fresh air when it comes to live services, and it seriously proves that live services can work. Missed a season? No worries mate, just select it in the terminal and unlock it at your own pace.
The fact that reboot MW3 storyline didn't go full blown WW3 like the OG MW3 and instead went for the lazily retold MW2 route is the most baffling aspect to me.
I mean I wouldve been fine if this game ended with Makarov successfully starting WW3 so the next game could be balls to the wall, but theres no way in hell he succeeded, because 141 pretty much foiled every one of his terrorist attacks. He only succeeded in killing Soap and escaping.
If you consider how many former and current US military and intelligence connections the Activision Blizzard board has these days, and that the US army itself sponsors cod esports events. I think its fair to accuse this whole modern warfare trilogy reboot was just a glorified army recruitment ad to some how sell the military to gen Z as hip and cool. It explains why nothing bad happens to the US military and nothing the US military or the main cast does is framed in any negative light and the games writing always seem to hamfistedly moralize to the player that the ends always justify the means. This is why the writing seems like it was written with baby brain logic. This is why there is no WW3, not terrorist attacks that were instigated by bad actors US like the original trilogy. General Shepherd is no longer a delusional evil man purposefully instigating a world war like in the original instead he’s a well intended man who simply made an oopsy losing the missiles and arming terrorists. All the main plot points in the original trilogy that made the story exciting and tense and didn’t care if it paints the US military in the story in the best of light as that wasn’t the purpose of the original trilogy the writers of the original trilogy was simply trying to tell a fun over the top spy/military action thriller.

Love how after Makarov is presumed dead they still insist on getting a positive ID on the body to be sure, yet when it comes to Graves they just blow up the tank and walk away, all so that Graves can come back with the shitty “I wasnt in that tank” throwaway line
It's so funny too, because they say "we need to confirm the kill" and then just... don't? Price doesn't trust Shepherd at all, mentions how graves wasn't actually dead when it was stated he was but STILL goes back without confirming makarov's kia
MW2019 had such a great campaign (not perfect for a few reasons), but they took a huge dump on that setup with both MW22 and MW23. I just don't get it. The Mexico drug cartel involvement was unnecessary, could/should have left that for Black Ops. The Graves and Shepherd betrayal in MW22 was so fucking stupid and had no emotional weight bc you knew it was coming and the motivations were brainless. Then MW23 just doubled down on the stupidity and ended up killing Soap for shock value in this Absolute Wet Fart of a campaign. If you're gonna kill a TF141 member, why not Price? Also, bringing Alex back undercut the ending of MW19, and bringing Graves back was even more stupid bc you're then expected to be all "ayyy bygones are bygones, right?"
MW3 shouldn't of even been DLC for MW2, it SHOULD of been part of the MW2 remastered package, but no they made that just campaign. God I'm so glad Bobby Kotick is out of a job
Just a little FYI regarding Alex and Graves' survival. For Alex it turns out he actually survived the explosion in a Warzone Season 3 cutscene from MW 2019 apparently only losing his leg; how he actually made it out of that only God knows. And Graves just magically appears in a MW2 cutscene for Season 5. When asked how he survived the tank explosion bro simply says "I wasn't in that tank." Not only did they give these two core and important characters of the COD franchise laughable "explainations" for their survivals but they relegated it to stupid seasonal cutscenes that nobody even watched
The explanations for their survival are the same lazy writing as Palpatine's return in Star Wars. Do people not get paid enough or have enough time to write a thorough and reasonable plot anymore?
@@dontoverthinkit01I'd hazard a guess that Graves was intended to die in that tank, but some exec at Activision decided "Hey, Graves was a cool character that people liked, bring him back or else you're all fired" and the writers said "Okay yeah sure we can definitely do that easily" and had to pull some bullshit out about it.
The funniest thing about the Graves reveal was that they say "Hey, I heard you got blown up in a tank in south america" in the cutscene. The writers didn't realize that Mexico, where MW2 took place and that incident they're referring to happens, is in North America. They think everything below the US border is just South America.
The classics maps dont feel good at all because they were designed for 2009s movement. So when you you can get from 1 side of the map to the other in like 4 seconds it completely breaks the flow of the maps for mw3 If you play likes of S&D you see how broken the flow of the maps are with how fast you can move
Pretty much. In 2009's MW2, the maps were perfectly designed for the movement system they had at the time. With them being implemented into MWIII, the maps now feel much smaller due to the new movement system which has you, as you said, zoom from one side of the map to another in 4 seconds.
That is so dumb and not even a thing. Some of the old maps are the same size as the new maps. Quit regurgitating everything you see on social media and start to think for yourself every once in a while.
@@navyvet05 Yeah, they are similar/same size of maps. That's not the point I made. The point I made was due to the original MW2 being a slower game, which it was anyone who's played it can tell you that or if you haven't a simple look at YT gameplay can show you. The difference in speed means that the maps play very differently, which again is obvious for anyone who has played both games. If you've actually seen a lot of this that I posted over 5 months ago, then perhaps there's a trend of those who played the original and felt the same way when playing mw3.
I’m just tired of playing ranked in regular public playlists. Like I don’t expect to only face noobs but I also would like to throw on some music and relax without having to sweat my balls off in my lobbies
This is my biggest gripe so far. Im level 17 and no joke the 10 matches I've played was filled with level 800+ players. I do not give a fuck if I'm "better than them" they have 8 times my playtime and the lobby shouldn't be filled with them. Also everyone is using like 2 guns and nothing else which is cringe for a game with so many guns
MW2023 is a disgusting slap is the face. The 3 hour campaign filled with lousy bot killing is embarrassing. The same UI is dumb. The lack of faction announcers and music is dumb. SBMM is horrendous. Being forced to use random weapons to level up your weapon of choice is dumb. The rampant voice chat banning is childish and boring. I'm glad COD was laughed at.
@newt4949 I did. I don't care if it was bad. It had problems but I liked it. I don't give a fuck what you have to say. If you can't handle someone's opinion then get off the internet
I quit COD after Black Ops 3 came back when Modern Warfare came out. I quit again when they came out with MW3 this year and will probably never play COD again. I miss World at War, Modern Warfare the original, MW2 and Black Ops. These new games are junk and its time to move on to something different. I was hoping when they revived the modern warfare series this would be back to old days but sadly no. I feel this franchise is lost.
I agree with you and have the same plan but I want to check out cod 2024, if the rumors are true and treyarch's been allowed to cook for 4 years there might be potential for a fun cod that feels like the old days again. Won't be buying on launch though
MW2019 had an identity. Both sequels have no style. So generic and samey. No commitment to an overarching theme with factions, announcers, music, setting etc.
I thought I was going to buy MWIII but decided to quit playing COD altogether after being fed up with the shady engagement tactics, manipulation, and monetization practices being put in the game by the devs and Activision since 2019. I've been COD-free for over 4 months and I've found much better games to play in my spare time that don't cause my blood pressure to skyrocket 2 minutes into a game. The last COD I truly enjoyed was Cold War, but since then it has been a disaster.
Exact same for me, I played Cold War 2 years because I hated vanguard so much, I played mw2 then quit a couple months before mw3, now I play siege and it’s way funnier imo since I only ever played search anyways
Not only did they slapped a 3 instead of a 2. They dared using treyarch name to bait us (those who still havent buy it) into buying the game just for zombies. For me a zombies veteran who has followed the story since BO1 and who also enjoyed the shit out of CW zombies that was a big insult and middle finger.
so true. i was a huge fan of the original black ops/wow zombies, and cold war having round based, and you could extract, perk upgrades and field upgrades were pretty cool, and didn’t change gameplay all that much, easter eggs weren’t too difficult and were enjoyable. thats just round based, outbreak in its own was put together pretty well, not too difficult and if you had a group of good players you could get pretty high into the outbreak rounds.
The story suffered from the Star Wars syndrome. All of the new stories flopped so they keep going “ey remember the good ol days” by constantly interjecting characters from the older games because those games stories did well
The biggest issue with this game is the fact that it's a separate release instead of a 70$ game making the last game completely worthless. So everyone who bought MWII,basically wasted their money on that game.
@@AlexGonzalez-ut9ck well that's how all cod games get treated nowadays, but he's saying due to all the mw2 content already being in mw3 then mw2 is literally a useless game with no reason to buy it
24:58 just a reminder for everyone on the Internet. If you have a problem with how an actor portrays a character in your favorite media, DO NOT TAKE OUT YOUR HATE ON THE ACTOR! Take it up with the people who were directly in charge of making that character ie executive and the writers
What a twist, tho. Technically, the Cold War campaign and the reboot MW trilogy are connected, so there's a chance Ghost could just be Frank Woods in disguise
Sledgehammer as a studio died when Condrei and Schofield left. The studio has 0 direction, horrifyingly incompetent. Raven being smaller is a far more capable studio than those jokes at Sledgehammer now. 2 games of a story made by IW ruined by one atrocious campaign with 0 regard for characters, continuity, and logic. Every character was turned into the average Sledghammer employee; brainless, idiotic, coasting off the success of those who worked at the studio before.
Y'all can try to defend the devs, but I'll still hold them accountable for my experience at the end of the day for advertising the game to be a "complete package" and failing to relay the info that it wasn't. I can sympathize with your short dev cycle but that campaign was abysmally bad that ruined the story of the remake series all with one game with shitty writing and DMZ missions dressed up as campaign missions. The writers for that game need to stay away from the industry. Management is to blame for shitty decisions but that doesn't just take away from the incompetence of devs who are clearly fine with shitting out skins for bullets but not having the resources to review a script for the campaign before letting it ride. I'd be ashamed for knowingly putting out dogshit like that from my incompetence at my job. Yet we somehow still have people only putting the blame on upper management to deflect off the incompetence from the devs as well.
To your points about Zombies, I play from Japan. If I want to play zombies, it takes at least 5 minutes to find a game, and the game will always be at 200 or more ping. In a sense, it's already dead - in Japan lol
I play on the east coast of the US and I'm having the same issues my game doesn't usually find a match of zombies below 180ms. It doesn't matter what time of the day I'm searching either. So I'm constantly stuck playing games with high latency and packet burst. I'm convinced that's what causes my game to crash daily with the your profile has been signed out error.
CoD as a whole sucks. I don’t care to play a game with 500 attachments on 500 guns that are outclassed by the same 5 overall guns in the franchise. You die in 1-2 bullets. There is no gunplay or gunfights. It’s just…shit.
How they thought that giving us 80 different sights and grips which u cannot distinguish by the way, is OK, is mind-boggling. Hours and hours wasted to program this BS for nothing, as you said, ppl download the COD app and all the metas are already showed, everybody plays the same guns, there is no variety. I was having pure junky fun when the loadouts were bugged and didnt work, ppl had to be creative and use ground weapons
@philipmarkovic544 I think the 500 grips/sights are meant to appeal to controller operators so they can replicate the $2000 D.D Ar15 they have that never gets shot.
It hasn't been good since WAW and the OG Black ops. I hear one or two of them afterwards were OK but I stopped giving a shit after finishing the Black Ops campaign. Never played BO1 Multiplayer but I hear it was really good. Peak COD is already long gone.
“We feel this will be very replayable and really fun for people to watch, I think it’s the most “UA-camable” campaign ever.” *Holy smokes, I almost choked on my breakfast after hearing that*
What do you mean by "wrap up the trilogy"? There is no continuous story between 2019, MW2 and MW3. You can play them completely separately and miss nothing.
@Deathmare235 MW was a good reboot. MW2 felt like a side quest but at least the story was completely original. MW3 is random bs happening while pretending to be the original Modern Warfare 2. The worst part is that they killed off Soap (again!) in the dumbest way possible because the writers noticed that without a main character's death, this game would have no ending.
facts. I was able to take MW19's campaign somewhat* seriously, a first for COD, and I really enjoyed it. *my gripes include the skirting around real world conflicts (mainly Syria, but Ukraine also) by inventing "Kastovia" and the utterly absurd "Urzikstan"; as well as the main terrorists being referred to as Anarchists (???) for no reason instead of Islamists
This MW (Reboot) trilogy feels like the Blade film trilogy. The first entry being solid, the second entry being flawed, but fun, and the last one being trash.
Can we talk about the ridiculous amount of microtransactions for a moment. When you start the game you are overwhelmed with offers for multiple bundles, the battle pass and other things you have to pay for. Instead of being able to play you have to manoeuvre through an awful UI designed to make you spend more money. Idk how this is even legal anymore at this point. It’s like in the gta V mission in which you have to click away pop ups to blow up the tech guys phone but worse because you know you will have to do this every time you want to play the actual game … Also the entire character of ghost feels like he was taken from some kids show and i think that’s hilarious
the disrespect this game has for zombies players is insane never has a franchise pulled the rug on me mutiple times inregards to black ops 4/vangard/mw3 zombies
Before all these live service games it was SIMPLE. Companies would try to make the BEST games possible because that’s what sold the most and therefore made the most money. Now for some reason we buy games that aren’t even finished, hoping they get updated to eventually become good. How activision treats cod like a live service game while simultaneously charging full price for an unpolished release each year AND $40 for new bundles and gets away with it needs to be studied.
kids nowadays dont even know what a good game is, they never experienced it first hand. but still they have to play something, so thats probably CODs biggest playerbase. people under 18 years old. thats the only explanation i have
I won't even consider buying a cod if there's SBMM. In online PvP you need only two modes: Random and Ranked. Ranked is for when you want to perform your best. Random is for when you want to just play and chill. Sometimes you have a hard lobby, sometimes an easy or medium one. You can decide to leave the lobby at the end of the game and find a different lobby. This is how we did it back when we played black ops 1 religiously. Sometimes we had a hacker in the lobby, so we looked for a different lobby.

The fact that The MW2 maps, remastered and all aren’t in MW2 (2022) still pisses me off because when you hear the words “MW2 maps” I’d expect the roster of maps be Afghan, Rust, Sky rise, etc
It was overhated when it came out, but man I loved it since it launched. Pretty much just a slightly more rebalanced MW2 (there's still OP guns and final stand lol) and plenty of great maps! And the campaign was a perfect final sendoff to the OG modern warfare trilogy
Idk if keeping gunsmith/not using pick 10 was fully infinity wards choice. Carry forward has allowed them to keep selling all the bundles from MW2 and allow the items to still be used. It seems like a major money focused move, probably from Activision
A very unpopular opinion: "There should just be a single COD multiplayer experience." They can release new GOOD campaign each year or whatever. But I'm tired of new multiplayer every year with different maps. Support multiplayer for 4-5 years and when people get tired of it, release a new MP. This way, studios get time to engineer cool new things and it doesn't feel repetitive. It blows my mind that COD community is not demanding this.
Nah. IMO Multiplayer arcade shooters like COD are too repetitive for a 5 year life. I honestly think COD'S development setup is great with how we can get different flavors from the different devs each year. It's up to the devs to make the game worth a damn which they haven't lately.
@@Tumbus OK. I don't agree but at least you will be enjoying COD's current release cycle. What disappoints me the most it that we ALMOST was able to break the cycle . We were so fucking close. I been telling my friends that most of call of duty problems would be fixed if they just STOPPED DOING YEARLY RELEASES. We could’ve even compromised and just done a new COD every two years or something. They new CODs have so much potential, just imagine if they actually had more time to polish this new titles. @@alfi341And this is why I supported Microsoft buying ABK. Bench CoD off of yearly releases and make a damn Halo game for the first time in years while giving CoD enough time in the oven to not be shat out half-baked.

Probably the fastest I've ever deleted a game once I saw what was happening. I'll never buy another COD. I'll just play the old ones. Talk about a selfish brand.
If this had been DLC, the campaign basically should’ve been used on building Makarov up as a villain, with a proper MW3 being the plot to bring him down
Hot take, but I honestly would’ve preferred this but also from the perspective of a new set of characters rather than task force 141. Kind of like Halo ODST where it’s more of a spin off that ties into the story by building up Makarov and maybe introducing some new characters to the saga
@@Deathmare235 exactly! how about make it an American SpecOps team (seeing how the reboot main cast is almost all British) where Roach ends up being the only survivor after the DLC story. He could then join TF141 in a post-credit cutscene and be part of the cast for a potential MW3 where he now has a personal vendetta against Makarov and we were there to experience how it started,
Because it wasn't infinity wards choice OR Sledgehammer Games choice. It was Activision's choice to force IW and SHG to make it MW3 instead of the Las Almas side story like originally intended. MW2 made them a fuck ton of money but also lost them money because of IWs incompetence and ego to do what the community wanted. They saw how much the community started to dwindle. So, they decided to switch gears into it being a new title because of how much bad press MW2 was getting at the halfway point in the summer.

I'm still surprised Activision and those who hyped it, hasn't been sued up the ass yet because of the lies and deceit they did. First off Remember when Vanguard and Ricochet was suppose to be released at the same time but magically, Ricochet not only did not release the same time, till this day, Ricochet still doesn't do what all anti-cheats do, ban cheaters. Not only does ricochet doesn't do what its suppose to do, activision actually sponsors and lets "Content Creators" cheat on their game. If you want to scam customers, just watch what Activision is doing because that's what they are doing.
One major element you left out about the multiplayer is the sheer amount of post-launch support Sledgehammer had provided for the game. It's the most we've ever seen. Not only in terms of seasonal content like maps & guns, but there's also always a mini event active where you can do challenges for exclusive camos, plus there are weekly challanges you can do that often grant another great feature: Aftermarket Parts, which are attachments that essentially turn existing guns into whole new, unique weapons. As someone who goes for the mastery camo, then retires to Search & Destroy every year, it's incredibly refreshing to always have something new and uniqe to try that fundamentally changes up how I approach the game.
I've said numerous times with my friends, that the only thing that would bring me back is a faithful BO2 remaster. But I gotta be honest, I'm not even sure if that would be enough. CoD just needs to end or take a brake or something. Which will never happen because Activision likes money too much. This franchise is dead. Yes, it still makes money and people are still playing it, but CoD as we knew it and what we once loved is dead. I'm dont trying to hold out faith for a return to form and for it to return to it's roots.
I don’t care how good COD is anymore, MW2 received 0 actual updates and no changes asked by the community. Just to surprise us with a 70€ upgrade this year that features most things we asked for. I feel like a complete idiot coming back to COD since BO3

I’ll never understand why this is so hard for activision to understand. You have 3 studios who all do 1 thing really well(or at least pretty well) Infinity Ward usually has fun campaigns, SHG usually does pretty good MP, and Treyarch crushes zombies. Just have those 3 teams focus on their strengths. Then have the other studios support as needed. Problem is Warzone has bled in and ruined everything. Campaign is naw Warzone. Zombies is now Warzone. Everything is about Warzone. I’m so happy battle royale games are finally dying out. What a terrible terrible fad

The more balanced modern warfare that has more features, better and balanced perks/weapons, better camos, better maps, better everything really. Enev the campaign. If your game is good enough, time between release and DLC won’t even matter. Elden Ring’s DLC is dropping 2.5 years after release. People still by the latest op’s in Siege’s 9th year! Just make an enjoyable and ever changing game and people will stick around.
Exactly what I'm saying. Chop threw unnecessary shade at a game being a year old. 😂 brother, my game library looks like a decade old time capsule outside of Elden Ring.
Feeling sad for sledgehammer devs, all of their creative freedom taken away, being continuously forced to make the games for whichthey don't have any vision yet they get all the hate from community
True, somehow i feel sorry for them, thats pure injustice but actually the community doesnt know better. They believe devs make decision and embed it into the game while we know that this is not true, there is always the management above that knocks on the door

Yeah a co-op campaign would’ve been really cool, like, for the mission where Price goes into the bunker couldve had played 1 be Price and played 2 be Farah, and Gora Dam could’ve had Ghost and Soap and etc
It’s money, Activision won’t stop doing yearly releases because the fans will eat it up every single time. When you rush the developers they won’t have time to make an actual good product.
The return of graves and shepherd was super confusing to me too, but when I did some research it turns out that he was brought back in warzone 2 please make a video about their attempts at driving the story through warzone without considering players who mainly play campaign or normal multiplayer 🙏🙏
Desperate attempts to adhere to The Disney Marvel plan. They say "you don't need to play the other game/watch the pay-wall shows..." but then they bring back or majorly change characters in random off-shoot scenes buried in niche content. Technically with Echo 3-1, those scenes were locked behind Raids. Meaning you had to buy MW2, wait in a matchmaking lobby for 30 minutes, and play these bunk missions hardly anyone wanted to run. I can't even recall when Graves came back but i recall the studio just quoting the internet in a half-assed line of dialogue. "Oh, i wasn't in the tank..." *next subject.* 😂 it's pathetic attempts at plot twists and fan service.
@RecluseBootsy Funny you mention the Magic Empire, as the original Modern Warfare Trilogy was the Star Wars of modern gaming until Hacktivision butchered it.
I stopped purchasing COD games like ages ago, but I recently got to try that MW2 reboot with a roommate at their place which is serving as an emergency shelter to us atm (after a good chunk of our apartment burned down in an arsen attempt, dont mind the deets). There was no version 1.0 patch on the disc, we had to download 77 Gigs with our sluggish connection, just to play offline. First strike! Then, we realised that it installed MW3 (which we don't even own), and we had to install MW2 as a DLC. What the hell? Second strike, that's disgusting! Then the game tried to lock us out of offline play, unless I created an Activision account (when playing the PS4 Version by the way), I had to kill the internet to dodge that requirement. Third strike, Activision is out.
I didn't know much about MW3 when it was told it will be released. I honestly expected them to maybe put kortac into the story (since people really like the characters from there: König, Horangi, Oni, Nikto, etc.) Which would have been REALLY COOL! But alas, we got MW2 again but with a worse campaign.
The game crashed, and when I booted it up it said that the only way to get back into the game was to "reset my account, including battle pass and all progress". I uninstalled right there
@@Blooky-yl7bo So, I reinstalled this god-awful "game" to verify that I was correct. After installing this 200 GB monstrosity (why the fuck is it 200GB - I'd say ask your engineers to fix it, but goddamn you must only have one intern), I was first greeted with a lovely "update requires restart" screen. After waiting a minute for my freshly reinstalled game to update, I was then greeted by multiple pages asking me to buy the latest battlepass. After several more minutes of struggling through one of the worst UIs I've ever experienced, I have given up trying to figure out where to find my old battle pass progress. The long and short of it is - this overpriced DLC posing as a game game me an error saying that it reset all of my progress. After logging in, I found that my battle pass was entirely wiped, and all of my custom classes and customizations were gone. Please hire better PR reps for call of duty if you want me to keep playing (I sure hope they are paying you, would be pretty depressing if you were doing this for free), thanks to this I am now motivated to permanently remove it from my steam library!
I have a feeling the open combat missions were more so done to save time rather than anything else. They probably just didnt have the time to make an entire campaigns worth of unique missions and areas, so they just reused warzone areas and threw a bunch of enemy AI around

But no, they decided to dumb it down where it takes place on a plane, with very low stakes, you can’t even shoot any of the civilians which was THE POINT OF THE NO RUSSIAN MISSION
that is actually a part of every call of duty since first modern warfare
maps are connected by dialog and nothing else
every mission has it's gimmick
even original massacre was lacking because makarov's men can die and makarov says "he's dead leave him" yet game still pulls only allen's death

this entire thing in modern modern warfare 3 is so retarded it can't run through a cargo ship solo in less than 60 seconds

I know the CoD casuals are always gonna be there but if this really was the second highest selling game of the year then there really is no hope for them and we’ll just have to keep hearing about the newest CoD every damn year
I guess people were kinda expecting a lot since MW2 did farely well and had high expectations for the story (etc)

They paid people to buy the game at realse and they also bought Bots for the game that's why it was so high
People do not buy games like that. Best selling could just mean 100k-1 million (0.014% max of the entire population) sold titles. That’s a small amount of people buying video games yearly

Graves surviving was lazy, but, it was a lot more believable than Alex surviving a *manually* detonated bomb.
Well, people watched it because every season had an unskippable cutscene
The funniest thing about the Graves reveal was that they say "Hey, I heard you got blown up in a tank in south america" in the cutscene. The writers didn't realize that Mexico, where MW2 took place and that incident they're referring to happens, is in North America. They think everything below the US border is just South America.
The classics maps dont feel good at all because they were designed for 2009s movement. So when you you can get from 1 side of the map to the other in like 4 seconds it completely breaks the flow of the maps for mw3
If you play likes of S&D you see how broken the flow of the maps are with how fast you can move
Pretty much. In 2009's MW2, the maps were perfectly designed for the movement system they had at the time.
With them being implemented into MWIII, the maps now feel much smaller due to the new movement system which has you, as you said, zoom from one side of the map to another in 4 seconds.
Activision don't sell games anymore. They just sell nostalgia to boneheaded zoomers who think 2009 was a hundred years ago and not last week.

Why you blaming the devs? Activison calls most the shots, the devs are victims if anything

How activision treats cod like a live service game while simultaneously charging full price for an unpolished release each year AND $40 for new bundles and gets away with it needs to be studied.

A very unpopular opinion: "There should just be a single COD multiplayer experience."
They can release new GOOD campaign each year or whatever. But I'm tired of new multiplayer every year with different maps.
Support multiplayer for 4-5 years and when people get tired of it, release a new MP. This way, studios get time to engineer cool new things and it doesn't feel repetitive. It blows my mind that COD community is not demanding this.
That's what cod mobile is lol imagine a mobile game being better.
Nah. IMO Multiplayer arcade shooters like COD are too repetitive for a 5 year life. I honestly think COD'S development setup is great with how we can get different flavors from the different devs each year. It's up to the devs to make the game worth a damn which they haven't lately.
