This is the epitome of effort.
After all that you do for content creation, the hoops you jumped through to get a hold of the Vision Pro is truly worth applause.
Well done Tausif. Well done Mastercard.
Haha thank you so much bro!! Really appreciate this! I know this video won’t kill in views because my audience is mostly American, but I wanted to make something to help everyone else out here :)
Really nice work! It was a very interesting topic. Thank you
Thank you! Appreciate you watching!
I'm pretty sure you could change the country/region of your Apple ID... and then it should work. But if you had any Canada-only apps they might cease to work. There is an Apple article how to do this called: Change your Apple ID country or region.
Underrated video! Thank you for the great breakdown!
Man is doing gods work
we have mastercard he says 😂
This semi vlog style vid was fun to watch man!
Hahaha thank you bro! Appreciate you watching
Very helpful! I had used my own workaround by using a family members old Apple ID that was no longer in use but had no credit card attached to it. GREAT to know I can download the Disney+ app and then just log in on my Canadian ID to access the app. The rest of today will be a write off :)
Hey Tausif. Great video! Thanks. My friend and I (in Vancouver) had similar experiences. We did get ours working! However we had an additional hurdle you didn't mention - 2 factor authentications. We both needed to get second iPhones to set up our U.S. Apple IDs. How did you avoid that? We each bought Apple Gift Cards on the US Apple Store (paid with our Canadian credit cards), and gifted them to our US Apple IDs so we could purchase stuff on the US side. It was a relief to find all our US apps on the Canadian ID. Again, thanks for a great video.
Thanks for watching!
I don’t have any issues with 2 factor. I just used my same phone number when setting up on the Vision Pro and it worked just fine! Instead of setting up on a separate iPhone you need to setup on the Vision Pro itself.
Oh great workaround for the purchases! That’s smart didn’t think of the gift cards!
Great video…. As I sit in Vancouver thinking about zipping down to Seattle
same im so tempted!
Great breakdown, especially for us Canadians over here just trying to enjoy some new tech ☺
Ayeeee! Glad I could help or even give an insight haha !
I’m going to spend a weekend in buffalo and I’m scheduling a demonstration. Have no plans to buy it now, but I’m really happy to just try it out.
Go to region setting in your phone and change the region to USA and then change the Apple Store to USA. This will allow your Canadian ID to become a US ID
Thank for the video man. But when i created a new apple Id on Vision Pro, it asked for a US phone number. How did you bypass this. Thank you
great video! Planning to do something like this, and ship it to Dubai!
Glad I could help then! Works great!
Its available locally in Dubai on various online shopping websites including menakart.
Great video.. just confuse if I buy it now and use it with US apple id in Australia and once they release it n Australia officially will my vision pro update to normal vision pro in Australia or its always going to be US version?
If you change your region in settings to USA from your Canadian account , would what work as well? Great content mate 👍🏼🤜🏻
Nope
Great video, getting mine in Canada in few days! How about family sharing for Apple TV between the us/ca accounts ? Which is what I’m planning to try once I received my device
Unfortunately I don’t think that works. I tried, and it tells be the account can’t join the family because it’s set to another country. You can, though, change your US account to the country you’re in, and then join it into the family, so the family gets access to the apps you purchased under that account. Then you can’t change it back to US, though, unless you have a US credit card.
@@JonasViatte yeah, I guess it makes sense they won’t allow family sharing between countries, different price point, content etc.. going your try those workarounds .. thanks
So,bro what you’re saying is that if you have a US account Apple ID, you are good to go? You can already purchase apps in the App Store with that?no matter what country you’re at btw I’m from the Philippines and I don’t use credit cards but I use iTunes gift cards is that ok? Tnx
What’s the vpn app that you used with the vision pro
pretty dope video. nice you were able to get it to work even w/ the workarounds.
OMG, this was super helpful as I am from Pakistan and I am travleing to dubai next week and was planning to buy Vision Pro as its available on some sites in UAE.
I never imagned apple will make it such difficult to use it outside USA.
Warning: even if you use an US Apple ID to download apps and then log out, you will not receive updates.
Good call!! So I’m assuming we’d need to log out and back into US Apple ID to update lol
@@TausifHussain yeah, that will do. I’m curious if changing the main Apple ID’s region helps. I had no luck, asks me for US billing address and/or US credit card
Hi! I have a question. I’m From Argentina and It says that the App Store is Not available in my country. The only thing I need to do is to log out my apple ID and to log in with another Apple ID From USA and with that action, Will I be able to install apps?
@@francosetti9994 yes, as long as you’re signed into that US Apple ID. When you sign out, the App Store stops working, but any installed apps will work. However, no updates until you sign in to the USA apple ID.
How about altering the country of you existing apple account?
I had a demo at my local store, this thing really wowed me, it's the most amazing piece of tech I ever try in my life yet, this is the most exciting thing apple ever released yet, it's like you have the IPhone, Mac, IPad, AirPod, apple TV and more in one piece of tech, it might not be for the mass public yet, it's still not perfect, it's a first generation product, it might feel weird to use in public but if you really into tech, love apple products and don't mind dumping thousands of dollars on it, trust me you will love it.
Got one for myself, this is truly the feature.
Your post is extremely accurate!
Great video. I am super tempted to buy this in Dubai. Though i wear contact lenses, i wud prefer the lenses on the device. Are there any 3rd party manufacturers for the lenses yet? Atleast i couldnt find it. :-(
This video needs WAY more views !!
Haha appreciate that bro. I think it’s too late. The video is condemned to the depths of the Sea.
3 months passed: did anyone told him that you can have your normal account as main, and then set a US one just for the appstore (thus avoiding logging in back and forth with the two)?
I can confirm all the workarounds work. Creating a new ID to access the app store worked. You need a US phone number, and I got my brother to help. Once the apps are installed, I switched to my regular Apple ID and can use all the apps, except the ones that need you to purchase. Anything that needs a login e.g. Disney+, MS Word, etc. works just fine. Thank you Tausif
Hey, I live in Canada and am looking to buy a Vision Pro. My only concern is if I can have my Apple Music on my headset. I am in a family plan so I am not the one paying. Will I be able to use my Canadian Apple ID?
Could u access your songs from Apple Music after switching back to your Canadian ID?
I don’t think so, right?
Yes you can access your Apple Music, news and TV once you switch back however with the TV app will be very limited in the 3D offering. I have an extensive purchased library and only 2 of them gave me the 3D option.
Does the iMessage and FaceTime work with non-US account?
yes
Thank you. Does Disney+ From you Canadian account support the 3D movie features, or can we use our native log-in Disney Plus (UK in my case) on the US-Account to see 3d Movies?
I'm from Toronto, Canada and did a prescription test renewal from visibly (US based company) and was able to upload that for Zeiss which worked without issue. Heads up for you and anybody else reading that may not be from the United States
Did the same. Worked for me as well
LOL - I could have overnighted it to you!
LOL. But then I wouldn’t have this thumbnail 😉😂
But how to create US apple id because you need to add US number to verify plus American card and billing address!
What about the iTunes gift card ? You can use it to buy apps right ?
YUP! Someone mentioned that in the comments here recently.
@@TausifHussainI would love to see an update to your video after you tried gift card purchases. You proved that the free apps are still working after the apple ID switch but what about the paid apps?
You can get a VPN on your home network by configuring a proxy server for it so that any device connected to your home network uses a US IP address.
Wouldn't you be able to use your phone as a wifi hotspot while using a vpn?
You can definitely use your Phone’s wifi. But using a vpn doesn’t bypass any of the geolocked stuff that is tied to the Apple account rather than location. I try the vpn thing at the end of the video.
"Man, real life graphics suck" lollllll, you probably don't have Ray Tracing turned on 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂 the fidelity just isn’t there
More vlogs!
Haha blending them into videos right now. 🤙🏼
Some twerp here in Edmonton is trying to scalp a vision pro for like 8500 dollars rn. I pity the person who buys it thinking that was smart or that it will have full functionality in maple-land without some workarounds.
Haha I’m sure he’ll find a buyer too at that price point 😂. People are crazy man..
Just saying. Why not just get prescription contacts. Then you would not need to get a prescription in the US.
Pro Vision
Pro max vision when?
@@TausifHussain soon for sure
😎
For all the dogs 😎
Are you from Bangladesh?
Everyone asks me this haha. No sir, from India, but never lived there. Spent childhood in Dubai and grew up in Canada most of my life.
@@TausifHussain Because your name Tausif is a common name in Bangladesh that's why. BTW really loved your videos brother.
Or just wait for probably 6 months or so. I think Canada, uk and Australia are the first ones to be added to the list of countries who can buy Vision Pro outside USA. And that will probably be told at wwdc. 🤔😂
Bro ... Imagine you lost the $7K worth.... Cmon!
My man! Easy trick! Gift USA iTunes card ;) I solved everything with them
Thank you for this tip. It worked wonders.
The apple vision pro is stupid ngl
How did you resolve the message asking you to enter your phone number? While creating a new Apple ID, it asks for a phone number, but I couldn't solve the problem.
